Ordered on Foodler. Total disaster — took forever, the food was watery and unappetizing. My son wouldn’t touch the«bean and cheese» papusa which tasted stale and had no cheese and almost no beans. I didn’t open the weird soggy little Baggie of whatever it was. To add insult to injury they charged me $ 2.00 for a teeny side cup of sour cream that turned out to not even be sour cream, and $ 4.00 for a small cup of guacamole.

Great food here! I had a steak salad that was incredible. I would go here every day if i lived close by. It is very cheap as well.

Ordered delivery from here a few times and the last time was a disaster. After waiting over an hour for the delivery(they are LESS than a mile away. I could walk there in twenty mins I SWEAR), we call and we are told that the driver is on his way. Okay but it’s been an hour. Their response: Well he is on his way but he went to revere, not Everett. So he is on his way to Everett now. Apparently he got his directions mixed up. I told her that we ordered from them regularly, and that they should know us by now, but… To no avail. We waited another half an hour and finally called back and said that we wanted to cancel the order. At this point it had been an hour and a half. Their response? No we are going to deliver the food to you. Because you already ordered it and we made it. Our response: We don’t want the food. It’s been too long and we don’t want food that has been sitting around for an hour and a half. If you choose to bring the food, we are not going to accept it or pay for it. Their response: }€\¥[={}!\#}%]@$& you. Why would we deliver food to you for free? You must pay. At this point I realized this was not going to go anywhere and I told her we wanted to cancel the order and have a great day. They called us back and started to spew nonsense at us about the order, which wasn’t the most polite either. Yes, more vulgarities. Classy people. After reading other reviewers’ experiences about their treatment and delivery ordeals, I am not surprised at all. Hopefully whatever is keeping them in business will keep them there, cos it sure isn’t the food, service or efficient delivery! Go to El Paso down the road for an experience that will be FAR superior in all senses.

The food here is really good when it wants to be. The other times it is just meh. My roommate orders from here all of the time and she gets the Tipico Montanero, which is a huge plate filled with rice, beans, steak, chicharron, plantains, pico de gallo, salad, and a fried egg. I swear they give her loads of chicharron, but when I order they telepathically know it is me and send me some random skimpy piece that looks like it is on punishment. The strange bags of bland sauce and veggies are odd and the yuca and pork appetizer is terrible. I ordered that once to fill my pork-happy gut and received some random lean pork chunks that were fried so hard that it caused permanent damage to my teeth, gums and jaws. I tossed most of it out, so I essentially wasted money that I don’t have. I guess the best way to get good food here is to have my roomie order it for me and/or pick off her plate when she orders for herself… lol.

this review is based on a foodler order. do you ever come across a place, and for some reason, you just *want* to like it? that’s how i felt, but i just can’t. this was pretty much a disaster start to finish. our order was processed on sunday at 8:17pm, scheduled to arrive by 9. by 9:30, we were still foodless. finally, i got the call. unfortunately, i couldn’t really understand anything he was saying. language barriers aren’t anyone’s fault, but are frustrating for everyone. after a lot of «sorry?» and back and forth, it seemed there was a problem with the address. now, i was still willing to forgive the confusion because there are two houses on my street that are both #61 — a fun thing that happens when you live on a town line. i explained this, described the house, and even gave the zip code if he was going by GPS. he told me he would be there in ten minutes, which made no sense if he was at the other #61 because it’s just down the street a few houses. fifteen minutes later, i got another call. he said he was outside. i went downstairs. he wasn’t. it was pouring rain. i called him back. i stayed on the phone listening to the sound of his windshield wipers wondering where the hell he could be. at one point he told me «i just have to go back to the restaurant for a minute.» what? no! i tried again to get him to tell me WHAT exactly the problem was, which he had no answer for. finally i saw him and flagged him down. i apologized for the confusion and he was very nice(and it was much easier to communicate in person) but then… get this — he tells ME that he knows all about the two same numbers on the same street because he worked in the area for fifteen years, and that next time(there won’t be a next time) i need to give the correct town name… uh…I DID. it’s on the receipt. so if he knew the area and had the correct address, why the fuck did it take nearly two hours to deliver my food? then he continued to talk my ear off for another five minutes while we’re both standing there in the pouring rain. i was soaked when i finally got back upstairs, but the fun didn’t end there! the food was gross. i know sitting in the back seat of a car steaming in styrofoam takeout boxes for over an hour didn’t help things, but still. J got the churrascquito, and the meat was really tough(this coming from someone who likes everything well done). he also got a chicken taco which was actually okay, but nothing we’d return for. we paid for the 24oz fruit punch, they sent 12oz. i got a few different things to try. the torta(i got pork but i’m not sure that’s what they gave me, i think it was beef, with cheese/lettuce/tomato — no typical toppings) was huge and tasted pretty good, but more like a decent sandwich instead of a great torta. it also came with cold soggy steak fries… wut. still, at $ 5 this was probably the only good part of the meal. i got a cheese pupusa, which might have been good if it was hot and fresh. the tamale tasted like it was boiled inside a can of old vegetables, and had a solid chunk of chicken in the center that was full of little bones… like, a whole tiny ribcage type bones. we wanted to get chips & salsa, but didn’t see it(or guac) on the menu… seriously? maybe this should have been a red flag to begin with. they had one line item that said«tortillas» and then in the description«chips.» it wasn’t chips. it was three very thick corn tortillas. we asked for salsa, which they sent in a knotted plastic baggie. again, seriously? along with another knotted baggy of salad. why? at the last minute i also tacked on an order of fried plantains, which per their menu is «with cream and fried beans.» there were neither, and the plantains were only sliced down the center and just looked ridiculously unappetizing. i took a bite anyway and… yeah, no. i shudder to imagine the oil these things were fried in. i have never thrown out so much takeout food in my life. but… at least it was cheap? we’ll be avoiding this place in the future.

Delicious, authentic and cheap food. Very friendly and willing to make menu items vegetarian upon request. Also a good opportunity to brush up on your Spanish.

Ordered takeout from GrubHub and wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I ordered a bunch of things to try, tamales(delicious!) pupusas(delicious!) plantains(came with crema and what I think were refried beans and they were pretty good) th pork quesadilla(which I never even tasted because I was stuffed but everyone else liked it — looked a little greasy to me though) yuca and pork(my least favorite — needed to be more crispy) and a fried chicken plate(chicken was flavorful and moist) and came with rice and beans that were very tasty. Also added was some type of masa bread and a free 2 liter of sprite. All that food was about $ 40 and we had a ton of leftovers. I would definitely order again(when I’m not worried about how many calories I’m eating!!! :O) Very authentic and delicious food! As others have mentioned, it may be a bit difficult communicating, but I didn’t mind!

My brother and I went in here on a Friday night to order some dinner. We ordered the Nachos and burritos. Ordering was near impossible because the 12 yr old girl at the counter could not understand perfect english. It took us almost an hr and half to get our meal and they served other customers before us. BTW, they also served us the wrong order and all the food was disgusting. Go to Taco El Paso for better food!

«This place is unbelievable if you already know what to order. They give you plenty of food for the price you pay. Breakfast steak and eggs are to die for.»
