Finally, a good Mexican Food restaurant in WA. Moving from the Phoenix area has left us starving for a decent Mexican food restaurant. El Tapatio has come the closest to our liking. The staff is friendly, drinks are delicious, and food wonderful. They are accommodating with children, too. It is a little far away, but we will return, because it is worth it. I waiver between four and five stars only because of the chips. They are the best chips we have had in WA, but they are still the typical yellow chips. I prefer white corn chips freshly made and light. The salsas were awesome.

Now called El Tapatio. Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere! Coming from Arizona, we have had a tough time finding good Mexican food, but these meals were fresh and delicious! It looked a bit rough on the outside, but the inside was clean and friendly. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken. The margarita and mojito were very flavorful! The chips and salsa were fresh and unique. We very much enjoyed the crispy cheese crisp! We had a shredded beef chimi, a beef tamale, fajitas, and a quesadilla. All were delicious! All fried items were fried to perfection, not over cooked, but with plenty of crispness. I usually do not like rice, but I actually liked the fried rice. They even gave me a straw for my water without my having to ask. The music was nice Mexican music and the restaurant had plenty of ventilation, so we did not feel like we were overwhelmed with the Mexican food smell. We topped off our meal with some delicious fried ice cream. This was a very enjoyable meal!

Although part of a chain, this restaurant has a mom and pop feel to it. I felt like the wait staff was attentive and friendly. Sadly, the chips seemed stale and the salsa was… different? My burrito was good, but I did not fell like the value was there. If you do stop by I highly recommend the carne asada.

Everytime I come here, I end up leaving dissatisfied. Why do I keep returning? Oh yeah, because my husband loves their chicken crema dish. Everything I get is super greasy and they use a ton of sauces to mask how dry the meat is. Greasy veggies and dry meat… why? I will stick with La Palmera down the street as much as I can and avoid this location. PS– love the one in Marysville

We arrived and they should have turned us away. Two people serving and cooking for the entire restaurant. We had a large group and after 1 hour and 45 minutes 3 people from our party still didn’t have food. The majority of our table had received food and eaten dinner, they didn’t apologize for the delay and quickly brought us our ticket for drinks when we cancelled our dinner(9:55 pm). Zero customer service and from what our friends say… salty, microwaved food.

I really liked this place but the last couple of times we have been here the quality and taste of the food has gone down each time. It just doesn’t taste as good. They have tried to update the inside a bit and service is always good, that is why I am giving them 3 stars.

By no fault of the owner the establishment is in a very seedy part of the city. That being said, it’s obvious from the outside, the owner wants to fit right in. Drab very unappealable entry. The inside was cluttered and dirty. We were seated behind a hostess stand that’s being used to store bags of peppermint mints and uncovered napkins. Phone books and miscellaneous papers. The table was dirty and sticky. The hostess was extremely rude and unprofessional. We asked for another bowl of chips, she actually placed them on someone else’s table, walked back to the kitchen, returned to pick them off of their table and set them on ours. Needless to say this was unacceptable. When asked for others she was anything but polite. The food: To their favor the plate was hot keeping the food nice and hot. The refried beans were white, undercooked, and so runny you could literally drink them. The enchiladas were floating in grease and the flavor was anything but an enchilada was suppose to taste like. We expressed our concern and explained that we were not going to eat it, pay for our cokes and leave. The server said that the food looked ok to her, I showed her the refried beans spilling from a spoon, she again said there was nothing wrong with it. The person that seated us reaffirmed that there was nothing wrong with the food and asked if I was not hungry. We showed him what was wrong and he said that he’s worked there for 2 years and nobodies ever complained. They both left confused so by unconfused choice we placed a couple of dollars on the table and left. This should not be a reflection of service or food on other Las Margarita’s establishments. Continue on I5 north to Marysville and stop at that one. Very nice, what a difference 10 miles makes.

So… There are a lot of Mexican restaurants right? And when you go out for Mexican you expect good food. It’s hard to get it wrong. This place was ok. I didn’t feel satisfied. I guess my palette was disappointed. I knew I’d never be back. For food at least. There are way too many great Mexican restaurants. I always get the arroz con pollo and it needs to be delicious!

this place is just ok. service is good but i don’t feel like the food is as fresh as it could be. Also my son ordered a kids cheeseburger there once and it was so red in the middle he couldn’t eat it. The server didn’t offer to re cook it or get him something else, he just took away the plate and brought our bill with a dollar taken off the bill!

This place is one of my favorite Mexican joints. The customer service is outstanding, even when it is very busy. You will never have to wait for service, they are beyond attentive. Everything in the kitchen is made from scratch, you will never find frozen foods that has just been heated up. The chips are fried fresh daily. Not to mention the margaritas are cheap, delicious and strong. They have a large selection if other alcohols, Mexican and domestic beers and some on tap. I would go here over la hacienda or avocados any day.

Tonight was the third time my family and I have eaten here. We love this place! Our major draw here is the Nachos Idaho, which although not esthetically appealing their spin on potato skins is basic but delicious. I ordered a mondo margarita, Now I am not much of a drinker but I tell you what if you want a bang for your booze buck come here, they pour a mean drink. It was surprisingly pretty busy for a Wednesday night but the atmosphere was still quite and pleasant. Now for the reason I give this place a 5 instead of a four is, My fiancée has a specialized diet he should adhere to. He asked the waiter if he could have his burritos on corn tortillas the waiter said they are very small compared to the flour. My fiancée seeing it as a hassle for them to conceive of a way to swing that told the waiter/cook/owner? to never mind that flour would be fine. Our dinner comes out and low and behold the guy came through he had used three connected corn tortillas in two long awesome tummy friendly burritos !!! The guy went the extra mile surprised us and made us now customers for life ^_^ On a side note my girls and I love coming here for deserts. I love their plantains!!!

My first trip here and it has been excellent. Cozy, and friendly. You can order authentic Mexican food if you request rather than the usual Tex-Mex fare which is also very good.

Service was friendly and quick. Great complimentary salsa. The place was empty on a Monday evening, but it was clean with a full Mexican menu. I had the burrito and my wife enjoyed a chicken quesadilla. Nice children’s menu with plastic takeout cups for kids.

I am fairly picky about Mexican food. I love it, but have had trouble finding Mexican food in WA that really grabbed me. Eventually we found La Cuesta and go there most of the time. Tonight it was closed We tried Las Margaritas recently. Friendly staff, cool fish tanks, and awesome Carne Asada fajitas. Hurray.

Very OK experience all around. Nothing was good. The slice steak in my wife’s burrito was so tough she said«it’s like i cooked it myself». Barely chewable. The cadillac margaritas were sub par. This being said, crappy mexican food is better than no mexican food. The kitchen is open until 10 pm during the week. I would go back(after 9 pm).

Came here for a drink after work with some friends. The strawberry margarita was pretty good, nice and strong :) The chips were warm and the salsa tasted homemade. The people were nice. I will be back to try their food soon!

This place is very good. It is your typical Mexican restaurant. The food is very good and the service is also very good. I would definitely recommend this place.
