These guys went above and beyond to help me today! I went in annoyed and angry(not at them at Microsoft) and they were amazing! I left very happy and in a much better mood. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do — it actually took almost an hour helping me on a complicated return and that kind of professionalism and customer service didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks again!

My first — and last — terrible GameStop experience happened here. There were two lines instead of a single feeder line, so a couple of customers who came in after me swooped to the counter before I could. One of the guys at the register was recommending other games and the membership card to everyone who came up, which lengthened the wait. The one star on this review is for when he finally noticed me and had the other guy ring me up. I had come to trade in my PSP and a couple of games, which reminded me why I wasn’t renewing my GameStop pro membership. It’s a scam. I got 10 bucks cash for the whole deal. Could’ve gotten 15 in-store credit, but I was never coming back, so why bother? I should’ve learned after I sold a perfectly good used game, which I’d bought brand new for $ 49.99. GameStop bought it back from me for $ 9.99 or something ridiculous like that, even though it had the original cover, the inserts, everything. I didn’t care, until I came back and saw they were selling it for $ 29.99. Boo. I should’ve just given it to some kid. Hasta la vista, GameStop.

This is a pretty good gamestop, I prefer it much more than the Meadow Glen Mall Gamestop. The associate that stands out on almost all my visits has been a young woman named Courtney. I have always gotten in and out no problem. She seems to go above the normal protocol and gives great information about games. Often as I browse I hear her explaining to parents what would be the most appropriate game for their child’s age range. The most important part she finishes my transaction without trying to shove game reserves down my throat. It’s not that the other people suck there, it’s just that every time I go in for whatever I am doing I feel like I am being pestered in to reserving a game. I went to pick up a game that I reserved and could not leave the store for at least 10 – 15 minutes because one of the other employees was badgering me about what games are coming out and what I get if I reserve it after I had told him no literally 5 times. Other than that, the location is great and the employees seem knowledgeable and friendly.

I generally hate gamestops, but I understand they are needed if I don’t want to wait for shipping. I like the immediate gratification of having the game in my hands. None of this, delivered sitting at the doorstep ‘ish that comes with ordering from the interwebz. The main reason I dislike gamestop is you never know if they have the new titles in. You can’t browse their new releases, you have to stand in line at the counter and ask if they have a game. They line their store walls with used games… they keep the new ones under lock and key… I don’t like this. I was in this shop at like 8.00 ish, to pick up a game i already reserved. The girl working the counter kept saying not so quietly«where are all these people coming from» … I’m sorry you are open til 9, people will come into your store TIL9, and you’ll like it. Like it’s so hard for you to stand there, and hand me the game i want. I wouldn’t be standing in line if I could walk to the shelves and pick up a brand spakin’ new game. So I’ll stand in line, you’ll feel overwhelmed, and you’ll like it. You’ll even get paid to do it. Really gamestop, focus on customer service. You need to, you are about as frequent as dunkin donuts around here, so when you have that many similar stores in a small area(a gamestop at stations landing just down the road) customer service is key. I’m making it a point to come in at 8.45 to buy video games from now on. And i’ll make sure I pay in cash as to throw off your register counting.
