Stopped in for a cup of chai and to do some work.
The plus: great chai, free Wi-​Fi and gluten-​free options, with a huge variety of books, work tables and comfy couches, speedy service and friendly staff.
The minus: a younger crowd had gathered on the couches and began playing music with extreme profanity, offensive lyrics and at a higher than tolerable volume. Staff did not intervene, nor even acknowledge the disruption, despite requests to lower the volume.
We ended up leaving early.

I stopped by on a Sunday because it’s one of the few coffee shops open late-​ish and it was a nice place. Not really my type of vibe, but I can’t drop points for that. The barista was sitting in the main area reading a newspaper with earbuds in until I got right up to the counter which I thought was a bit unprofessional. The coffee is good.

Our band was recently booked here, which we though was kind of strange as we aren’t really a coffee house kind of group, but decided to go for it anyways. The stage was small but worked out great and surprisingly enough the sound worked out too for the venue. While there I ordered a hazelnut mocha and a raspberry scone. The coffee was good, a bit sweet for my tastes but otherwise good and the scone was excellent as well. The guy working the counter that night was very friendly, even after we played (and we were much louder than the acoustic acts that played before us) he didn’t give us any dissatisfied looks and was still very nice. We will be coming back!

This is a great coffee shop and community gathering place. There is plenty of space and it was nice and clean. I am always a fan of coffee places that have toys for kids so that I can actually enjoy the coffee.
On the coffee front he is serving very good coffee that is locally roasted, organic, fair trade.

Coffee is great and love the books and kids play area. There is even a conference table in the back that can be reserved for free. Met the owner while we where there and he seemed nice but also overwhelmed. I gave it three stars because although the kid that was working was trying to be friendly he seemed very stressed out even though there where only the 3 of us in the place. Food selection was very limited especially for a business in downtown that could support some quick healthy lunch options for the busy office workers. It’s also a little cluttered toward the back with old computers and misc stuff laying around. With a little effort and minimal investment from the owners this place could really reach its full potential. These little coffee houses are getting hard to come by. I really hope they can get it together before it’s to late. I will continue to visit and will update if I see any improvements.

Very eclectic and low-​key coffee house. Nice place to relax and read, or work. lots of space and bookshelves of reading material. Basic muffins and cookies, but not much else to munch on. would be great if they made their own sandwiches.

Vacuuming at closing might be better than around customers during biz hours. Ouch! Hard to hear.

Everett, WA
This coffee house has renewed my love in coffee houses. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating and their coffee is very good. I found about Firewheel through my writer’s group, who choose this place for certain meet-​ups in the past. It’s quiet, friendly, and large enough that you don’t feel like a jerk plugging in your laptop and taking over a table for a couple hours.
They also have a selection of used books, but I mainly just go for the coffee, sweets, and accommodating wifi :)

Firewheel is a wonderful gathering place in Downtown Everett, where people of all ages (even kids) are welcome to come and stay as long as they like. Great atmosphere.
