If you become easily annoyed when asked questions like“Why do I need to bring in a gas receipt?” you should probably not work in customer service.
TL:DR: Stacy is a STORAGE facility manager and renting uhaul trucks is beneath her. Do not rent a uhaul from this location unless the management is changed. The truck itself was in good condition.
It all started with us arriving 20mins early. We’d selected this location b/​c it was within walking distance from our home. That was a mistake– we should have figured out the driving and rented from a real Uhaul facility. When we got there early after informing Stacy who we were she told us we were early and to just come back in 20 mins– obviously expecting us to wait outside. She then went out the back door to smoke & chat with a friend. We instead hung out waiting for her in the office area– which seemed to piss her off. After 10mins she came back in and rather nastily started checking us in. She was just very passive aggressive and while there was no out & out rudeness (that day) she went out of her way to make things difficult. From insisting that we bring in a gas receipt (reason given was that thieves have stolen gas from their trucks at night but we were returning during office hours– not after hours) to refusing to go on a walk thru with us to note damage to the truck & where the gas gauge was at.(She stated several times that it wasn’t her job to do this or know that b/​c she was a STORAGE MANAGER.) I informed her we were only going to mount vernon (40miles away) and back yet she estimated 200miles for our truck and instead of a $ 100 hold my credit card had a $ 230 hold on it. The bill ended up being $ 120– so now I have to wait for that authorization to fall off. I tried to let her know this while checking out and she was rude about it saying that it was standard– when the day before she’d said it would only be a $ 100 hold. Just a very petty & passive aggressive person.
The trucks & grounds are very well maintained– we had no issues with vehicle performance and the loading & unloading went well.

This a great storage unit, until your things are STOLEN.
My fiancée has a storage unit that he keeps household items and collectibles in and went to retrieve the comic books he wanted to move out and sell only to find his storage unit door had a cut in it and ALL of the comics were stolen. They even were so so nice to leave some of the empty boxes as proof of the crime. When he brought up the fact that their was a hole in his door and no damage to his lock they claimed they were there when they changed locks, yet not all units had these holes… it hasn’t always been there either. Once inspected further there were screws missing and the top portion of the roll up door could be pulled out almost completely.
He went to the office to report this and they acted like it was a huge inconvenience to fill out an incident report which no one even know how to fill out and send it, he also has insurance for storage, which I am hoping they take very seriously and do the right thing, when he first purchased these items I painstakingly categorized and logged almost all of these comics so I will be forwarding those to the insurance company to provide as mush info as possible.
I am both frustrated and saddened that someone would care so little for a tenant who pays his rent religiously and causes zero hassles. We called and made a police report which I hope dearly helps, the officer who responded from SCSO was extremely nice and understanding but not sure what would come of this since the actual comics are probably long gone but I truly appreciate him coming out and taking his statement.
He’s a hardworking man and didn’t deserve to have his collectibles stole and to be treated as if it was his fault for having his things in his SECURE storage.
This may be a SECURE facility but obviously not as SECURE as we would have hoped and paid for.

We’ve had storage units here for over a year now. We’ve had big units little units and in between units based on our needs at the time. The units are clean, the security seems good, the staff is wonderful and the prices are reasonable.
Now we are moving out but the staff is still very friendly and helpful. I almost wish… Never mind, I finally got rid of all… Well most of our junk.

I’ve had a great experience here. Management is friendly, they never screw up my payments or billing, and when my credit card was stolen and I forgot to give them updated CC info, they were super nice about it and didn’t charge me a late fee or declined payment fee even though they would have been totally justified in doing so.
The property seems very clean and I’ve never noticed any indiciation of pests or rodents.
Location is good, access is easy, and their access hours (5am-​11pm) are better than what I’ve had at Public Storage and other places. They have plenty of flat carts inside all the buildings for easy loading and unloading of interior units even when multiple folks are moving in or out at the same time.
Prices are some of the lowest I’ve found, which makes this an extra-​great deal considering the quality of service/​product they provide. All in all, I’ve been very happy storing my things here — I’d recommend them to anyone in the north end.
