El Sabor de Chihuahua

Saw this place had opened up since I visit the coffee shop across the parking lot.
Got dinner tonight — Chicken Enchiladas.
Enchiladas were good, especially with the cilantro & pico de gallo they put on.
It came with mexican rice and your choice of beans. I chose the refried beans over the other choices of black beans etc (I know, very average white male decision)
The enchiladas were good. I thought the beans and especially the rice were kind of bland, or as the cool kids say ‘meh’. Some seasoning would have done wonders.
Looked like a mother/​daughter team when I visited. I wish them well.
It was about 5:00 on a Friday night and there was two people eating and two tables that should have been bussed.
The young lady dished up the rice and beans in the to-​go container.
Meanwhile, my enchiladas were in the oven to get the cheese melted. Being in the business, I fully understand staging orders, but I was the only customer with an active order and my rice and beans were getting cold sitting there while my enchiladas were in the oven.
I will revisit — because honestly I hope they can succeed. Being a small business owner is tough, I’ve been there.
With some tweaks, I think this would be a great place to grab lunch or dinner.

Very good Mission-​style burrito, for the PNW. Meats are all tender and not overly salty. Steamed tortillas. They are rather big too. Do not come with chips and salsa. But the price is right (under $ 7 for basically a super burrito). Will definitely go again.
Most patrons seem to lean towards the tacos and enchilada — they look good.
Service is a little awkward and slow. Many tables not bused. But its all good!

Moved to a new place and found this little gem down the street. It’s in a plaza where there’s a variety of food places to choose from. It’s a few minutes from Boeing Everett so I’m sure they catch a lot of employees during lunch hour. Walked by and saw a sign that said they had Taco Tuesday’s for a buck! So of course, I was drawn in. So good. Been here every Tuesday since I’ve moved. They have a selection of meats to choose from so you don’t get bored. My favorite is the spicy chicken. (They have carne asada tacos for $ 1.25). I’ve yet to try other stuff on the menu so I can’t say if it’s good or not, but having delicious tacos is a good place to start.
***4 stars because I haven’t tried anything else besides tacos but I can’t really complain about anything else.

What can I say… it’s simple, healthy Mexican food. The place is clean and presentable. I have a preference to the gorditas and the sopes, but one suggestion I have is to present a few vegetarian options as well. I just tell them ‘no meat’ and just stick to pinto beans as a protein substitute.

Love that they have taco Tuesday for $ 1 per taco except $ 1.25 for steak tacos. Steak was great and chicken marinated in green sauce are great and the others are ok just wished they had more flavor.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times now. The food is amazing and so flavorful. I’ve had the Torta with carne asada and it’s the best Torta by far! I’ve also tried the tacos with Barbacoa, carne asada and carnitas all of the meats were delicious. The people who work there are very nice. Prices are fair too. At lunch time M-​F it’s busy otherwise normally can walk in and be served right away.

It’s close to my place and the food is cheap and super bomb. Cheap tacos and BIG filling burrito! The chipotle of real Mexican food!

Tried to go here today (Sunday) at 4:10, but they were closing, «because no one had been coming in». Why have your store hours posted until 6pm, if you’re not going to be open at that time? VERY unprofessional, and irritating. Probably won’t go here, as I’ve heard this isn’t the first time they’ve closed early. Not good for customer service, in my opinion!

I am always on the quest for good traditional Mexican food. In the puget sound area, authentic Mexican food is elusive to say the least.
That is why I am so glad that I discovered El Sabor de Chihuahua. This place is really really great. All of their stuff is homemade, including the tortillas. Everything is super fresh and so very flavorful. This is not the place where everything on the menu is just a bland pile of refried beans and melted cheese. These are really flavorful family recipes. Their Gorditas are amazing. Handmade from scratch right before your eyes, and so so tasty. Also had their tacos and burritos, which are great as well.
My wife and I both love this place. We probably have eaten here once a week for the past couple months. We really hope the word gets out and this place does well. It’s in a nondescript strip mall near Boeing, so I’m nervous my favorite Mexican food won’t get the exposure it deserves. Also, the place is run by a man and his wife and daughters, no random minimum wage workers here. They all really care about giving you great food and service. Very nice people!

Decent for lunch, but it takes longer than expected to prepare your food. We went in a large group and it took them quite some time for all of us to get through the line. You would expect them to be a bit faster given their style but maybe they will get faster with time.
They give you plenty of food. I tried the fries asada which is like a naked burrito on top of fries. They make the fries per order and then have a buffet-​like/​chipotle selection of items to go on top. Pretty tasty — my coworkers complained the fries were a tad too salty. I like extra salt so they were perfect for me.

Been here twice and love it. Great customer service! Gordites made right in front of you, Would recommend them. Cant deside what you want in them your in luck, you can get all 3 diffrent. Good food at great prices.

Gorditas hand rolled and grilled to order! Authentic tacos were delicious. Homemade Pico de Gallo and a big bowl of ice cream enjoyed by all. Great food and customer service will keep us coming back!
