My low rating is based on their size and prices. Small location and prices are high. I would go back for their Manila clam appetizer though. Servers were kind.

We’ve had just about everything on the menu, as we stayed at the holiday inn for two months. The food here is really well done. I’ve read all the other reviews, and the complaints about service. I’ve had two bad experiences with service. One was a waitress, brunette, older, terrible. She was slow, unaware, unmotivated. The other bad experience was at Sunday brunch. The bartender was rude and acted bothered that we were there. SO. if you want delicious food with GREAT service, sit at the bar when Nikki is there. You can’t go wrong with her. She takes excellent care of her patrons, and always with a smile. The food… Blue mussels are delicious. The Springuini is to die for, fresh veggies and you can add chicken or shrimp if you want. Black bean burger an excellent vegetarian option. Probably the best halibut fingers we have ever had. The osso buco is excellent, think they call it a pork shank. If you’re lucky, you’ll get the prime rib dip Monday or Tuesday, which is one of the best. There’s always fun specials on the board. We haven’t had any bad food here. They are incorporating live music, which is always fun. All in all, a favorite!

Came for dinner. Bay shrimp linguine the best I’ve eaten. A little noisy but service and food terrific. Will come here again when in Everett.

I can’t believe that I haven’t written a review of this place. We’ve been coming here for years. To us, it is the standard for great food in Snohomish County. We rate all of our other restaurant experiences against Buck’s. Most don’t come close to how fabulous it is here. No matter the time of day, the meal or the drinks, it is always fantastic. I can’t think of a single time that we didn’t leave happy. Brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour are all top-notch. On top of all that, the prices are reasonable. Does it get any better than that?

This place was awesome. We were just driving through town on our way to Canada. Can’t wait to come back. Wish we lived closer. Nicky the bartender and our personal hostess could not have been better. She is a doll and can’t wait to come back. Everyone is awesome. A+++.

The food and service was excellent. We came in for Sunday brunch and late mother’s day outing. They were very accommodating with our 1 year old, keeping her busy while we waited for our food and bringing her a cup with a lid and straw. The drinks came out right away. The mimosa was fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband had the egg omelet special with the bucks potato’s which was delicious. I had some of the freshest and crisp(not greasy) halibut and chips. This may be the best halibut and chips in the area as I have been disappointed many times before, but not at Bucks. I will be back for more. Thank you Bucks for a great Sunday Brunch. We all left happy and full.

They make the best Monte Cristo’s of any on in Snohomish that I have tried. Sunday brunch and Monday special lunch. All for $ 9.00. Other items are good also. Their fish and chips are very good. French Fries are a favorite of mine. Do not know how they fix theirs, but they are crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. Besides they go good with the raspberry jam(from the Monte Cristo). Their hamburgers are large, and good. We are on their email list, and we received a nice coupon for our anniversary dinner. For the missing star — A group of us ladies go there occasionally for Monday Monte Cristos. One Monday they did not have any at 1 pm. Because they had run out of bread. I must say though, they did go to the store(1 block away) and got bread for us. Another time they ran out of jam. How can you eat a Monte Cristo without raspberry jam? Over all, I really like this place. Bick’s has been there in one place for 30 years. The waitresses are polite, quick to refill your drinks, etc. The chef is very nice. He bowed when I told him how he beat out others with his Monte Cristos.

We discovered this place looking for a good meal before an Aqua Sox game. Always start with a killer mojito. Excellent meals that prompt us to return to Everett, yes Everett, for a great American meal in a vintage brick building. Worth seeking out if you’re not from Everett but are driving thru or have a reason to visit. Outside umbrella seating in season. We look forward to returning, and make trips to Everett just to eat here. It’s that good.

This place is way smaller than I expected, and was filled with older(65+ people.) Not a complaint, just an observation. I ordered the black bean burger with a side of fries. It was actually very, very tasty. The fries were spot on — my favorite kind. Extremely crispy on the outside. Everyone else that I went with seemed to think their food was just alright(one of my co-workers got the prawn appetizer with sweet chili sauce and a side of their cream of mushroom soup, another got a burger of some sort and another a bowl of the cream of mushroom soup.) Overall it was an alright experience, and again, I did really enjoy my burger but… black bean burgers are difficult to mess up(though I HAVE seen and tasted it done.) For the prices they charge, I was expecting to be absolutely blown away and I just wasn’t. Due to its proximity to my workplace, I may be back to try more… there were a few things on the menu that caught my eye. Hopefully I will be able to update this to a 4-star review in the future.

Stopped in for brunch and each dish we ordered was cooked perfectly. The price and portion sizes were on point as well. Service was prompt and polite and there are some awesome wooden sculptures on display. I got a Monte Cristo, which had this lovely eggy crust on the outside; not too salty, and paired well with jam. The bf had the corned beef hash, which he devoured quickly and we shared the poutine. Ugh, those battered fries — all of them were crispy and covered with this amazing, rich, meaty gravy! Would totally come again.

Haven’t been here in years but was lured in with the 4 star ratings. Took 10 min to even be acknowledged by our waitress. Over 1 hour for our dinners and they weren’t that busy! My son was ½ way through his dinner before my daughter’s and mine arrived. Food was fine but won’t be back. When you pay close to $ 100 for 3 meals you expect something a little better than watching other diners that came in 20 min after you get their food first and way better service because they ordered alcohol. Never even an «I’m sorry it’s taking so long».

We’ve been to Bucks several times before. A folksy local café — a place we want to succeed. But this was a fail. Service was horrible — the place had 4 tables filled when we came in — it took 10 minutes to order(and we said we were in a hurry) and 30 minutes to get our meal. And the food was meh. I had the blue plate special and my wife had grilled salmon. And I specifically asked for no red onions on my salad — yeah, I’m one of those — and the salad came with those little suckers smiling back at me. If we weren’t starved, we wouldn’t have eaten what we did. I think that might have been our last trip…

Went to dinner with another couple, the food was pretty good, broccoli was way over steamed, and the drinks took forever. It was pretty busy and they only had one bartender for the whole restaurant? My husband ordered Fettuccini Alfredo, but they brought out the Fall Fettuccini instead, so we had to wait again for what he really wanted to have for dinner. I ordered Halibut, which was $ 27.00, and it was a very small piece? Usually this place is very good, but wasn’t too impressed last night.

Pleasant surprise. Super cheap happy hour and I like the fact they are using thin rimmed wine glass for house cab — makes it taste better. This place has a lot of class. Will be back for the brunch and B-52 coffee

don’t let the name and the country décor fool you. there is no tv. no loud music. this establishment’s kitchen produces serious food in a casual atmosphere. a brass railing separates the long bar against one side of the front room from the general dining area. the décor is rustic elegance. a giant moose head dominates among other upscale log cabin-manor wall hangings. there is a real foot rail along the bar. the bar keep is friendly and attentive. appears there are many regulars at the bar. the rest of the restaurant staff are cheerful and attentive. service, food delivery to the table and pricing is on par with upper middle restaurants. expect to pay $ 25 -$ 30 for a steak. all in all a very pleasant evening. definitely a destination when heading to everett. blue cheese wedge salad: loaded with bacon. blue mussels: generous quantity with one of the better broths fish taco: as expected. acceptable halibut and chips: halibut was dry fall fettucinni with blackened prawns: generous amount of good sized prawn. tenderloin skewer appetizer: a win. outstanding. perfectly rare and the garlic oil seasoning was delightful. based on this item, i suspect the steaks will be delicious too. bake brie: a win. the slices of portabella mushroom was a pleasant surprise. the bread points were toasted very nicely. drinks at the bar and with dinner, appetizers and dinner for four $ 189.00 before tip. highly recommended

Solid 4 stars. We came here for the first time tonight, after the first restaurant we tried to eat at was dirty and the service was horrible, we left before they decided to bring us water. They were busy, the front of the restaurant had a performance, so all the tables were reserved with reservationed guests. But they were able to seat is in the back right away. It is very loud, but that didn’t bother us, it added to the charm. The service was wonderful, Melissa was our server, she had only been there a short time but knew the menu very well and was so friendly. The hostess checked on us many times and even the chef came around to check on people. I wish I could remember the bartenders name, he came out to our table twice and makes an amazing Bloody Mary. The basket of complimentary bread was warm, rustic and delicious. We got the calamari for an appetizer, the calamari was good, tender, the coating was perfectly seasoned… But it is served with diced tomatoes and feta sprinkled on top and fried pita. It just seemed like a strange dish, it was missing a sauce for sure. I had the duck breast with mashed potatoes, the duck was cooked perfectly, the skin extra crispy and the wine and fig reduction with it was out of this world. Best duck I have ever had at a restaurant. Their mashed potatoes were delicious also. My husband had the black and blue steak salad, the steak was tender and very flavorful, he had two of those amazing bloody Mary’s. The teenager had the blue cheese burger, wow they were not shy with the blue cheese! But he liked it. My nephew ate a basket of bread while we waited for our food, he ordered the kids Mac n cheese, it was so good, just like I make it, super cheesy! Our food getting to us was really slow, but we were never ignored and never felt forgotten, so I did not mind waiting, it gave me time to sip my wine. I figured they were a bit slow with food because of how busy they were. I honestly can’t wait to go back. Brunch tomorrow perhaps?!

The name is Buck’s and the service here sucks. A small group met at Buck’s American Café for a classic American business dinner. Luckily, it was a mix of people who like to talk and hadn’t met before because we had about a 20-minute wait for a greeting after being seated and then another 15 minute wait for drink orders. Our group filled a long table in the back room, so, it might of just been a case of out-of-sight-out-of-mind or just that the restaurant wasn’t prepared for a large table to show up(even though we did have a reservation). The poor service continued throughout the meal with long waits for food(an hour) and more wine. Only dessert seemed to arrive fast. One of the locals recommended the Black & Bleu Steak Salad($ 16) and it was an alright meal. The«blackened» Sirloin and Bleu Cheese were fine on a bed of Spinach, Red Onions, and Spinach & Greens drizzled with a Green Peppercorn Vinaigrette. I think I’d try something else next time in this price range. By far, my favorite part of the meal(except maybe the house wine) was Buck’s World Famous Peanut Butter Pie($ 6). That’s the official title of this dessert that’s been served at Buck’s for more than 25 years. It’s almost too sweet and creamy. The Dark Chocolate brings some distinction. Who doesn’t love Whipped Cream on a pie? Overall, the food was ok, the dessert was memorable, and the service sucked. I’m not sure there are better choices in Everett for a business lunch or dinner, so, Buck’s is stuck at 3 stars.

Came here for dinner with friends last night and had a wonderful meal. Seated immediately. Very cool old Everett ambiance. lots of activity — the bar is really cool. Now for the food! Wow! My girlfriend had the Pork special and it was fall off the bone amazing. I had the crab stuffed Halibut that was also really really nice. great sides and the service from Andrew(aka Jim from«The Office) was really great. he stopped by our table several times and joked with us and we made fun of the duck. The Ribeye with bleu cheese crumbles my friend had was a full pound and looked perfectly cooked. Had molten volcano chocolate cake for dessert with vanilla ice cream. it was so good I wanted to lick the plate. A great find in old town Everett. We will definitely be back.
