Had A great experience buying both a big man recliner and couch. They had a special great price and offered same as cash financing. Both Nancy & Jay were great to work with. LOVETHISPLACE!!! They have some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I am moving to Tacoma and they gave me alternate furniture companies closer to my new address to try and make delivery easier. I still went to behars tho! When I was about to move into my apt I realized how shady the complex was and couldn’t move there. Behars said they would gladly hang on to my couch until I was ready to pick it up, even if it’s months later! What??? So amazing! Lastly– they have great prices and will price match other in-store retailers. Total win. Everyone was wonderful but special shout-out to Julia! Thank you!

This is one of those humongous old furniture stores that’s been here practically since the war. It’s a big box with a little parking lot. They mostly specialize in upholstered living room sets – couches, loveseats, recliners, easy chairs, and a few things to complement those in the front room. They get pretty good prices on stuff, and carry a few major brands with lots of upholstery selections and whatnot. Their stuff tended toward the contemporary with a few classic designs thrown in. Nothing daring or ultra-contemporary or super attention-grabbing. I really need a new couch, and I checked out every sectional and sofa in here. A sweet older gal who has probably been working here for the last 8 presidential administrations cheerfully answered all kinds of questions. They offer long-term warranties, free delivery, and all kinds of special orders. I really like these guys and got a food feeling from them, and I like supporting the little independents. I have a bit more work to do to make sure their prices stack up well compared to everybody else, but things are looking good.

I have completed the buying process and was very satisfied with Behar’s customer service. Julia worked with me… and ‘worked’ is exactly what she did! I changed my mind several times which necessitated writing out new purchase orders and, yet, she never showed the slightest annoyance. In fact, she was very supportive and understanding of my difficulty in deciding. And Behar’s is a beautiful furniture store. They have a great variety of furniture. I told a friend from Lynnwood that I bought a sofa from Behar’s and he said he has bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture from them(he has a huge house) and has always been pleased with the furniture AND the service. He said that they are ‘great people’. Well, I concur and should I need any more furniture in the future, I will go to Behar’s. Thank you Julia!

If this post was based just on the experience in the store it would be a 5! Our sales lady Nancy was lovely and very helpful during our purchase. But when the furniture was dropped off I heard nothing but curse words the whole time from the workers as they carried the couch up the stairs/elevator… I understand that stairs and couches are not the easiest thing… But when you spend over $ 1,000 on a couch… They need to be more professional and tone down the foul language during the delivery!

I would not shop here if you want upfront honest pricing. I went in on Monday looking for a couch. A nice woman helped me out. I asked her for the price of the couch I liked in the configuration I wanted. When I went back two days later and spoke with someone else. He quoted me a price for the same couch that was $ 800 more than the first quote. Figuring mistakes can happen, I asked how he came up with his price. He simply explained that he added the two pieces I wanted together. However, when I asked if I could see the book he got the price from so I could be sure he was looking at the right couch, he refused to let me stating it contained their price lists. Why so secret with your pricing? Obviously some games being played here. I walked out.

Hello furniture shoppers! We had a wonderful time working with Bobby to pick out and design our home. Wonderful thorough conversation with great detail and measurements of exactly what we were looking for in our new home. Bobby was exceptional and professional, but yet laid back enough to work with me and my wife. I admit I can be pretty assertive with what I want, however after i was kindly advised and educated to cons to my idea, we went with the correct vision, and it was the best decision ever! Behar’s had everything we were looking and they included free local delivery and set up of everything… Other places charge a lot for this service, so it was nice we didn’t have to worry about that part. Picking out furniture is stressful enough. The ONLY reason why I am not given a 5 star is… when you first walk in you are welcomed to the lazy sight of the other sales specialist sitting on their lazy asses playing on their cell phones… Grow up people, your not in high school.

We went to behars because I found a couch and dining set I liked online and they were the only local store to carry it. We knew exactly what we wanted going in. We went in on a Saturday, the place was pretty empty. We were greeted right away and told to look around and she told us where things were located. The store is huge so it takes some time to see it all. We couldn’t find the dining set but found the sofa version of the sectional we wanted. The sales lady came back and asked how we were doing and we told her we knew what we wanted and were ready to buy. We went back to the computers and she pulled up her website to get part numbers. This took like 20 minutes to find part numbers. Then she proceeded to pull out a carbon order form wrote our info and the part numbers. This took another 20 – 30 minutes. Hubby and I laughed because it was so old school. While we were waiting for things to be written down another customer came to the desk. Our sales lady asked what she needed and she said another rep was helping her. Our sales lady got all crazy possessive and said«no I was helping you. You’re MY customer.» Awkward. Finally after the longest ordering process ever, we were done. We were told our furniture would take 2 – 3 weeks and they’d call us to schedule delivery. Fast forward 4 weeks, no furniture and no call. My husband calls and is told they are waiting on a couple more pieces but they got delivery that day that it may be on but she’d have to check the paperwork(seriously…computers. Get some) we wait another few days without a call. My husband calls back again and is told all our furniture has been there and should have been scheduled for delivery. So we schedule for the following Wednesday(the earliest date they have). Then the next day our sales rep calls to schedule delivery. Again would be avoided if y’all used a computer. Furniture was delivered today and the delivery guys were very polite. Furniture is beautiful, although very chemical smelling. Hoping that fades quickly. Overall we are happy with the furniture. The buying process was slow and really outdated. And the fact that we waited 5 weeks when we were told 2 – 3 is annoying. No apologies from them. Would I buy from them again? Probably not.

I already knew what recliner I wanted and called the store on 11÷11÷14 because I wanted to treat myself since I am a veteran. The money was taken out of my account on 11÷12÷14 in addition to receiving a confirmation email. I was informed by the store representative it would take about 2 weeks to receive the recliner. I called 3 weeks later to request the status of my order and was told, that no it would take 5 weeks for me to receive my recliner. I called today to request the status of my order and was told by the store representative that she would need to check the status of my order but that she would call me right back. How long does it take for someone to call you right back because I am still waiting for my return phone call. I wish I had checked the reviews first before spending my money on nothing, because that is exactly what I received, NOTHING! So I have to make a special trip to get my refund, what a waste of my time. Sad!

Walked in to find FOUR sales associates standing in the middle of the shop, tried to navigate to the recliner we had found online. When we couldn’t we came upon the sales associates again to hear one ask the other, «who’s couple is this?» My husband responded. No one’s yet. I explained we were looking for a specific recliner the sales woman motioned toward the recliners and said, all of our recliners are over there. She walked with us where she pointed out the 2 they had that were the same brand and informed us that they don’t always carry what they have online. And then she walked away. 3 other times we had to track her down to ask her questions. NONE of which she could answer. Like, how long does this sales price last, what if we order it in(because they did not have it in the store) and we obviously would like to sit it in it. you know questions of the sort. On one occasion when we couldn’t find her, I approached another of the sales women who was now sitting with a magazine and asked if she could answer a question, she said sure but then once I asked it she said, Oh I don’t know and hollered for the other gal. who also DIDNOTKNOW. I’ve never had to work sooo hard to spend 500 bucks in my life. As we left I looked at my husband and said, we’re either in the twilight zone or we just got punked… we will find the recliner elsewhere. They only got 1 star because zero was not an option. YIKES.

They had your normal selection of low to mid range furniture. The prices seemed a bit high compared with other discount furniture stores. The layout was typical for a discounter as well. You’d be better of going directly to Ashley’s in Burlington.
