Wayback Burgers

Love the burgers here! Prices are to me a little more than I’d like to spend on a burger joint that isn’t a sit down and waiter serve place. But I have always had great service. Will continue to go back.

A great «Burger Joint» Concept at the perfect pricepoint between craptacular Fast-​Food «Burgers» & higher-​end Red Robin-​type «Hamburger Eateries». EXTREMELY good with changing toppings to «have it your way» — I’ll typically get their «Chipotle»: Pepper Jack Cheese, Jalapeños & Chipotle Mayo but substitute Lite BBQ for the Mayo, as I find Mayo in general is empty calories aside from a few special dishes (Lobster Rolls an example).
As my Better-​Half is a Vegetarian, she has said great things about their Veggie Burger as well as having both that as well as Turkey Burgers on the menu, as many places have one or the other for Non Beef-​eaters = A+, Wayback Burgers!
All the sides are outstanding for their price-​range, with their Onion Rings being «The Real Deal» (Batter-​dipped Sliced Onions opposed to Diced Onions with Breadcrumbs) and the Chili Cheese Fries the standouts.
One thing I have noticed over repeated visits at our local Wayback Burgers: what appears to be a concerted effort toward hiring people with physical and other disabilities. As a Patron with a Disability, I notice things like this quickly and can make or break an eatery. The Better-​Half and I don’t eat a ton of «Faster Food», but Wayback Burgers is at the top of our choices.
*When checking out their Menu, the Calorie Count is for Double Patty Burgers… just so you know you’re NOT taking a trip to Heart Attack City. This is the one thing I’d change in terms of the Menu/​Nutritional Information.

This is a cute little burger joint. I ordered the Turkey Burger club and fries. The staff was really friendly and the burger was really good, but it is seriously over priced this place. The food and shakes are really good though, a treat that I wouldnt mind trying from time to time.

My boyfriend and I thought we would try this place out because we live around the corner. We were initially surprised by the cost of two combo meals which totaled over 22 dollars. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I slowly began to notice all the trash on the floor and the uncleanliness of the place in general. Nothing was stocked by the drink station and trash was overflowing while the employees all took turns going outside to do god knows what. We waited for our to-​go food for at least 15 minutes. Again, it probably would have been quicker if all hands were on deck. When we finally got our food, the bag was seeping with grease. My boyfriend’s cheese burger hero was a greasy tasteless mess. And, the onion rings he had with it were soggy. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was dry and the lettuce and wilted. The fries were also soggy and not seasoned. We will not be back. And, will not recommend it to our friends and family. If it helps the owner at all with staffing and management problems we were there on Sunday at 4:12 pm.

We had thought about trying this place out for a while now. When we finally but the bullet, we were very pleased.
The food was very good and the meat wasn’t that disgusting crap that’s oft served at venues anymore.
My café mocha malt was excellent. The help were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, the closest thing to a Whataburger we have around here.

Generally love this place, but tonight the service is real slow. Been waiting for over 20 minutes. Doesn’t seem like the staff has a plan.

I got the cheesy burger but wasnt very impressed. It is supposed to be an upscale fast food burger joint but we waited for our food for 20 minutes for takeout! Mc donalds was faster than them! And for the price i paid we could have sat down at a nice restaurant and had a great dinner! I wont go back again unless its just me an my wife! Maybe not even then. Way to pricey for a burger! Take your family to a nice restaurant!

Burgers were good. Fries were average or below. Service was not good. Problems with the tab, amount, change? Slow delivery of food.

I ate here right after they opened in 2013. I did not like my burger very well back then, but I decided to give it another try. This time I had the Philly burger and my wife had the Patty Melt, and we shared a chocolate shake. The shake was handmade and served in the metal cup it was made in. We both enjoyed it very much. The Philly was freshly made and was very tasty. My wife’s Patty Melt was good too, but had a novel twist. Instead of using the typical rye bread, they simply turned the buns upside down when they grilled the sandwich. She said that she prefers the rye bread on a patty melt, but she did like this one too.

Burger wasn’t bad, the onion rings were the worst I’ve ever eaten! Under cooked, probably old oil and the onions themselves weren’t at all tasty.

We are visiting form Tennessee for a dog show. We wanted a light dinner and love burgers. Searching Unilocal we found Wayback and were very pleased it is close to our hotel. We had never heard if it, but the reviews were positive. We wanted to add our review that the atmosphere is fun since we are from the age of Rock ‘n Roll and loved the music playing, the furniture and the food. I ordered the Turkey burger and my wife ordered the Patty Melt, while we shared onion rings. Both sandwiches were delicious and cooked to perfection. The rings were good, but not the best we have ever had, should have ordered the sauce with them. I had a shake and it was served like I used to get it when I was a teen — in the metal can. IT WAS GREAT! We were very pleased and when we get back in the future we’ll dine there again.

Food was awesome. For the price it is a good deal. Did the triple triple and plan to go back and do it again next time I’m there

Well the burger was good, Fries ok, shake good but at the cost of 14.75, NO way if it was 8 – 9 Dollars it would be ok

Food is amazing. I was skeptical, I’m a diehard In & Out fan from SoCal. they offer not only a military/​veteran discount, but it’s 20%! Food is fast and fresh. Arrived a little late for dinner time, but staff was very friendly.

Good burger. Nice enough service. Not bad. Glad I tried it. Seemed a bit pricey though. Would try again if in the area and craving a burger. There are other places just as good like 5 guys and culvers

Food was better than it looked and it looked amazing! Best burger I’ve had in years made exactly how I ordered it! Fries were absolute perfection! Crispy outside and soft inside! A bit pricey, but for a treat, we will be back!

These guys have the best and most varied menu of hamburgers. Fast service and super friendly!

We eat at Wayback every chance we get. Excellent food! Burgers are great, killer fries & onion rings, the homemade chips wonderful! Shakes are great as well. Have not found even one mediocre item at the restaurant. You might even get Phil the owner cooking up your order at the grill.
Casual atmosphere, good for everyone. If you have traveled here from out west and want a burger on par with In-​N-​Out, stop in at Wayback. You will appreciate the real fries at Wayback, none of those skinny potato starch and pre-​fried potatoes like the chains. I would recommend Wayback to any travelers here that want a delicious meal after a long drive or flight in.
Stop in, place your order, take a seat, and your order will come to your table in no time. Great staff!

We tried this place based on Unilocal reviews. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with questions. I am kinda a weirdo and don’t like hamburgers, so I had checked out the menu online to make sure there was an alternative (that’s why we don’t go to 5 guys– only burgers). So, I had the chicken Caesar salad. I normally substitute for French dressing, so I was disappointed to see that wasn’t an option. My husband ordered a plain cheeseburger. Pepsi products (boo), so I just had water.
While we waited on our food, we were served a small amount of the chips, which were quite good. My salad was quite good as well– nice quality chicken, and nice portion size. My husband, who has a hard time finding hamburgers to his satisfaction, said his was very good. I snuck a couple of his fries, and those were quite good as well.

For fast casual burger place, these guys are pretty good! There burger was awesome and the fries were good too. The topper was the milkshake. If I were a boy, it would have brought me to the yard. Blackberry chocolate? Yes please. Just the right consistency and super yummy.
Plus, the staff was friendly and quick. Well done, Wayback. Well done.
