Best burgers in town! The place is a total dive. Always clean though. Food is good. Beer is cold.

What you would expect from a typical dive bar with the basic food that’s either fried or dumped out of a can & microwaved. ‘Fred’s fudge brownie’ is just a 2−½″ stale ‘little Debbie’ brownie & you pay for what a whole box prob costs. I like the older lady who works during the day but have been told how mean Fred is to her. It is not a place for a girl cause Fred talks to woman like they are trash. I will never go there again, and warn every one I can to stay away! If my Dad or Brother had heard him they wld have had major words. «Fred is always right & if you want him to be nice, just stroke his big EGO! I HEARD ‘PETE’S BAR’ on Columbia has super nice owners & service!!!

Love Fred’s for burgers and accompanying fried foods! The place looks like its going to fall down, but good food sometimes requires bravery, just consider it ambiance. Inside, its a typial bar, but cleaner. I always order the Fred Burger(double cheeseburger) with onion rings. The ladies that wait on you are competent and no-nonsense. Simple food at good prices. Bring cash.

Grease burgers at their finest. We used to head over here for lunch as it’s a short walk from Deaconess Hospital. Yummy burgers served quickly — certainly not gourmet but I used to love heading to Fred’s for lunch. Nice dive-y bar area too in case you don’t have to go to work. Cheap, good food and cheap beer too. Kind of smoky in here from what I remember but not sure if they banned smoking there now. Either way, I’d recommend it for lunch if you’re in the area — particularly if you’ve just had your cholesterol checked over at DH :) The building itself looks as if it may fall down at any moment so you’d better try it now!
