This was our first time eating at Bonefish. It was excellent! Food was great. We will be sure to return next time we are in Evansville.

A favorite and«go to» restaurant. The seasonal martinis are fresh and light. The food is consistent. It is a great place to order fish or vegetables. Their specials are normally very good too. Try the pork chop, it is one of my favorites. Bang bang shrimp, yum. Calimari, usually a yum, the sauce is the best part.

I am not from this area and had to rely on Unilocal. The Fishbone came up with a Tuesday special menu which I was able to download pictures of the entrées. That was enough to attract me to the Fishbone grill. Once inside seated in the dining room, Corey was a fantastic person to meet and guided us through the restaurants menu. Corey enlighten us on the experience that we would have. We were first-timers and had a great experience. I highly recommend this place.

While the food was excellent, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with the staff members. I walked in to enjoy lunch, and waited to be seated by the hostess for over 5 minutes, whom was chatting in the back. My waitress was extremely sweet, and was quick to help me with my order. The food itself was great! My complaint is this: I could here the same hostess, whom had neglected to immediately seat me and the party behind me, talking about how she had just gotten back from her smoke break and didn’t have time to rinse off her hands before having to clock back in(out loud while she was sitting at the bar!), and she was not in proper attire(in a huge ski jacket). I understand that she is young and it was not as busy as it could have been, but the fact that she was walking in and out of the kitchen really topped it off. The hostess was a young blonde woman, in her early 20’s, and continued to chat with the bar tender about her late night out. As I said, the food was great, but knowing that these employees were walking in and out of the kitchen and potentially touching my food was disgusting. I personally have worked in the food industry and know for a fact that this would never be tolerable, even if she is just a hostess. I would recommend having all staff members review standard health and cleanliness guidelines. If I return, it will probably be for dinner when a manager is on duty and able to watch over things a little better. Unfortunately this is a matter that I think if it is not properly handled, could get a lot of employees in trouble. I hope that you are able to fix this problem and ensure all of your customers a great and clean experience.

I went to Bone Fish last night and they were packed of course it was bang bang night. So since I could get a seat at the bar and didn’t want to wait for a table for 1 I just decided to order to go and I had a glass of red wine while I waited. The wine was fabulous it was an Italian red blend I don’t know the name of wish I did it was a little spicy yummy. Once I got my bang bang shrimp and Caesar salad I went back to my hotel and enjoy my food. It was so good they never disappoint.

Food was amazing! Service was efficient but the server kept interrupting when he would ask how everything was and such. Kind of defeats the purpose of him asking if he’s going to answer for us. Over all I would recommend just not with that particular server.

Seafood good enough to make my friends in San Francisco jealous! I was in Evansville for a couple of days and decided to see what Bonefish Grill offered based mostly on it’s positive Unilocal reviews. It didn’t disappoint. It is in a large, slightly(but not exceptionally) upscale strip mall on the major expressway that runs across town. It was crowded and we were told to expect a 30 minute wait. However, we really waited only about fifteen minutes, We were seated and promptly greeted by Kevin, our waiter. Kevin was exceptional. When the tuna I ordered was unavailable he recommended the swordfish, and even told me that it would be on him if I didn’t like it. He took excellent care of us, recommending an excellent beer to go with both of our dinners, recommending an amazing pumpkin crème brûlée dessert, and checking on us often. He was quite possibly one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. The food was excellent. We enjoyed everything. The swordfish was cooked perfectly with just a little crispy sear but still quite moist inside. The pumpkin ravioli was a perfect accompaniment to the swordfish, as was my beer. My wife had the shrimp and the crab corn chowder, both of which she absolutely loved. It was a bit expensive, but quite worth it. I’d definitely return if I am in Evansville again.

Being from the west coast, it was really hard to find what I refer to as «decent» food on our visit to EVV. Until we came here! It was delicious! And the service was excellent. Pumpkin Crème Brûlée was outta this world!!!

Go to the bar and have a sangria– it’s soooo good! We love to have the grouper when it’s in season but you can never go wrong with the diver sea scallops. And of course everyone knows how good the bang bang shrimp and seared ahi tuna are. We are definitely repeat offenders.

Bang bang shrimp were amazing! Had the truffled Mac and cheese it was also very tasty. Haddock was a featured special of the evening and it was delicious. The fish was excellent the side of vegetables were cooked to perfection and those mashed potatoes wow! The meal was presented beautifully. Definitely a great dining experience.

My wife and I love the atmosphere at Bonefish. We’ve eaten here about 12 times over the past four years. The food is very good(even excellent as far as Evansville options are concerned), but limited in terms of seafood selection. Bonefish has the same five or so varieties of fish, prepared the same way served with your choice of the same sauces. We’ve never been disappointed with our fish… or the always popular bang bang shrimp. Drinks are good. Prices are moderate. The rather upscale atmosphere that the restaurant is projecting is compromised by the lack of any kind of even loose dress code. It really takes away from the experience on a Saturday night — while most patrons are dressed nicely — you have some that come in wearing t-shirts or shorts. C’mon people… you’re not in McDonald’s! One other note… the men’s room was a mess. Both trash cans were overflowing with discarded paper towels. Bonefish loses a star for allowing customers to wear anything. Maybe we’re expecting too much… what kind of restaurant do they want to be?

Went on a Sat lunch with a group of friends at my request. I regret my recommendation of BG. Servers were friendly and accomodating, so no problem there. Food just mediocre at best. Fish sandwich — dried up, overcooked fish. Cilantro-lime salad– flavorless. Fish and chips– over battered and greasy. Grilled shrimp-dry and overcooked, but good smoke flavor. It wasn’t busy, yet the kitchen was slow. Altogether, not so hot. Wouldn’t go back.

It was Midwinter Meetup with the son and daughter-in-law, and dear old dad chose Bonefish Grill. Considering Anthony Bourdain’s advice in «Kitchen Confidential,» it was rather daring to choose fish on a Monday. But I figured Bonefish Grill probably had figured out how to offer something good early in the week, and I was not disappointed. Three of four had Lily’s Salmon, wood-grilled, topped with goat cheese, spinach, artichoke heart(literally, like one), lemon basil sauce, and served with a side, in my case, some French fries. There weren’t a lot of fries on the plate, but that was ok, it matched the size of the salmon, and was nicely presented on a large, circular white plate. Four diners, three salads, two ciders, one beer, waters all around. Nice day off lunch.

FOOD: 4 stars — All the apps(bang bang shrimp, calamari and smoked salmon) and desserts(pumpkin crème brûlée, coconut crème pie and key lime pie) were delicious. The only reason the food is not getting 5 stars is because of a lack of seasoning on my swordfish with pumkin ravioli and because the crab fried rice was very underwhelming. DRINK: 5 stars — The pear-tini is phenomenal SERVICE: 5 stars — Not sure about our servers name but he and all the staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and funny ENVIRONMENT: 4 stars — Overall good ambience and décor. The restaurant was a tad too loud and dark for my personal preference

Visted on a Wednesday which much to my surprise and delete, it Bang Bang! Shrimp special night. They were 6 opposed to the regular 9. The shrimp were delicious as usual. I had the small wood fire grilled Atlantic salmon with the lemon butter sauce and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce paired well with the fish as well as with a side of the garlic whipped mashed potatoes. I highly recommend.

The place was really disappointing. The reviews make it sound good but there wasn’t very many options on the menu. I would rather go to red lobster.
