I have purchased plants there over the years, same experience every time: Overpriced with terrible service. Might as well go to the chalet and get amazing service… The staff knows how to ring a purchase, but thats pretty much it! For everything else you are on your own in this place…

Tim was totally awesome and spent tons of time helping my mother as re: the right plants to put in shade, partial shade, and how to properly repot her orchids. He was great and the prices seemed fair. We will be back!

My daughter and I went to West End looking for shade plants. Tim, who waited on us, was very knowledgable and extremely helpful. He made some great recommendations without being pushy. He had a good sense of humor and made the Experience a lot of fun. The prices were high but the stock is healthy and beautiful. The wonderful service made it worth the extra bucks.

The delivery guy came to my workplace to deliver flowers to someone. He dropped off the flowers for us to find out who it was. I found out who it was and told him where to go, he said«no, no have her come pick it up, my car». I went to go call the person and he walked out and left. RUDERUDERUDE!

Be advised. Do NOT put anything in your cart without finding out the price first. The prices were not marked when I was there and I was shocked at the check-out when a bag of compost that would cost $ 5 at Chalet or Gethsemane was rung up as $ 20 at West End. When I asked if this was a mistake, the young man behind the counter referred to a laminated price list behind the register and confirmed $ 20 was the right price for a single bag of compost. The same young man had already loaded the compost into my trunk and I was embarrassed to have him unload it. Foolish of me. But I still have the receipt to prove this point. Since I had gone to this nursery specifically to help out«the little guy» and a local business, I was really disappointed. I’m hoping this is not a common practice for them, but wanted to warn others to know prices BEFORE selecting and loading merchandise into your car. If you don’t see prices clearly marked, find out beforehand or go elsewhere.

I ordered 20 tulips in a glass vase from West End Florist via their website that were to be delivered to my girlfriend at work. The delivery was on the day I specified(next day) but she only received 10 tulips in a glass vase instead of the 20 I ordered and paid for. The next day I sent West End Florist an email explaining the recipient only received 10 tulips along with a picture the recipient took of the flowers, but I still have received no response from them(the original email was sent a month and a half ago and a follow-up email was sent one week after the original email). Since I had charged it to my credit card, I had to dispute the charge through the credit card company and it is currently being settled. I would like to think this was an honest mistake but when I received no email response from them, I was extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service. If you order from this business, make sure you receive the entire order and charge it on a credit card so you can dispute the charge if needed!
