Dr. Gerber, I went with my mom to this visit, first time patient, and it was the worst welcome. He is very rude, we disliked his personality. He does not know how to communicate his concerns and does not discuss his routine or observations. Will not be going back there. This was a waste of time.

this doctor is rude, brusque, and unprofessional. i waited outside his locked office for a half an hour past my appointment time before anyone arrived to let me in. after that, i waited another 45 minutes to be seen by Dr. Gerber.
his bedside manner is nonexistent (implying i was vain for wanting to treat an already embarrassing toenail infection, suggesting i have a routine blood test before pursuing a course of treatment because it was likely i «could have hep c and not know it»). to top it all off, he really injured my foot while taking a sample. i’m in pain walking around today.
additionally, dr. gerber pressed me to tell him how i got referred to his office. no answer seemed good enough, and i began to wonder if routine foot health concerns were wildly outside the scope of his practice. when i got home, i double-​checked his website to make sure i hadn’t gone to a NFL-​level sports podiatrist with a minor concern. nope. infections are even listed among the conditions he treats. even better, his website suggests his practice «is tailored to the unique circumstances of every patient.» not from what i saw. i wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.
