Pretty standard Indian restaurant. 3 people shared the chicken masala and the chicken korma. We had to order extra rice but the dishes themselves were great. We also ordered garlic naan. It came with chunks of garlic on the naan. Way too garlicky for me but the naan itself was warm and delicious. Service was normal. Over all, I was satisfied with my meal.

This food was amazing!!! I have had chicken Tikka Masala all over the country and this was THEBEST! We ordered 10 entrees to be delivered off of Grub Hub which took FOREVER to deliver but that is Grub Hubs fault NOT Mumbai. Every entrée was incredible and the samosas didn’t even need tamarind sauce. Indian food is my favorite food. This restaurant made me feel completely heavenly for a meal and I thank you Mumbai grill!!! This restaurant is not fast food… It is made per order and you can tell… With love. It is must eat!!!

This place sucks, we ordered delivery recently and it took them 1:45 minutes. We call 4 times and each time they told us it would be there in 5 minutes. Liar’s! Stay away! Horrible service, horrible english!

Yum! Sag Chana is amazing and worth going back for. The service was a little slow but they were friendly.

It look twice as long to get my delivery as the estimate stated, but I ordered on a Friday night, so there’s that. I ordered everything mild, but after only a few bites, I had to stop eating my meal because it was far too spicy and my lips began to hurt. I wish I could finish it, because it smells delicious, but their definition of «mild» and everyone else’s definition of «mild,» seem to be very different. Definitely wasted my money on this one. I might again and ask for something more mild than mild. The naan is perfect!

I am sorry to say that I can’t even fairly rate this restaurant. My husband and I were at an Evanston festival yesterday and ordered a veg combo and chicken combo with rice and naan. We were given approximately 2 Tablespoons worth of the chicken and vegetable parts of the lunch and the rest was rice. $ 15 later we were still quite hungry and had to go someplace else to eat. Disappointed for sure. New to Evanston and love Indian food. Going back to Mt. Everest on Church st for sure.

I am obsessed with this place for LUNCH. For $ 9 – 11, you can get pretty much any kind of curry with naan or rice. Portions are generous. Level of spice(I get 3⁄5) is great. Flavors are complicated but synchronized. I always leave full and sometimes even have leftovers. The ambience and service is OK. But for the food at this price, I really can’t complain. They are playing music about 60% of the time. The interior design is nothing to gawk at. Service is slower than average(but then I know they’re making it fresh!). The servers are nice and never intrusive. I would never EVER come here for dinner. Prices increase by like 50% and portions are pretty much the same. I mean I guess come for dinner if you have $ to blow, but if you’re a college student and/or musician and/or broke(like me), come here for lunch!

Every-time i go here the food is spot on. The meats are quality, no bits of grizzle/fat on the chicken/lamb. I’ve not tried a beef dish yet but the naan is fresh as with everything else i believe. You receive some weird Indian tortilla with spices in the chip and 4 salsas. Love this stuff. The place would lose some points for the dinner but when the prices are this low for food this good i can forgive a clumsy dinner.

We happened upon this cute little place and decided to stop in for lunch. When we arrived there was only one other table but we were lucky to arrive just in time because as we sat down the place filled up quickly. My companion and I both ordered the lunch special which consisted of a portion of chicken masala, tandoori chicken, Jasmin rice, fresh crispy delicious naan bread and carrot pudding. Very good Indian food, I would definitely try it again, maybe for dinner next time.

I always pick up samosa chaat from here when we are in Evanston downtown area or close. But have dined here a couple of times, it is just another cramped Indian restaurant in a sophisticated neighborhood. The place is good for casual hangout with buddies but it’s not a family sit down place or a date night.

This place has the best Indian food around! The food is always very flavorful and we have never had a bad meal. It is a very small place so my wife and I have only ever done carry-out. After experiencing several other Indian restaurants, we always go out of our way to come here. No, it is not the cheapest place to eat, but most Indian restaurants are not cheap to begin with. Overall very tasty and recommend them to everybody. The chicken mikhani is the best dish here!

I came here with a friend for their lunch specials earlier this week, and ordered the chicken tikka masala chili at spice level three. We were served quickly and efficiently and our water glasses were always full(very important stuff at an Indian restaurant!). For the prices, the lunch specials are great. I particularly liked their naan and the sauce for the chicken dish(soaking pieces of naan in the spiciness — mm…), but wasn’t too impressed with the two pieces of potato that were on my plate. Pretty unnecessary, if you ask me. Anyways, decent Indian place — comparable to Mt. Everest, but the atmosphere is obviously a lot more casual.

Hmm not sure why this place has such a low rating. Honestly judging from Unilocal,I may not have tried it. Until my Indian friend suggested to have dinner here one snowy night. Ordered the fried vegetarian appetizer, I think that was the worst part of our meal. It came with 2 different sauces, the sauces had more flavor than the samosa tasting appetizers. However, our chicken tandoor came sizzling hot, VERY flavorful. The naans we ordered we also very good, fluffy and warm. Very good service here. They allowed my friend to sit down while she waited for me for a good 20 minute, I was delayed because of snow and driving condition was bad. We sat right by the window, and it was such a toasty dinner. The workers here are quite friendly, and the inside of the restaurant is clean and cozy. I would recommend this place!

I thought food was okay here but the portions were way too small and on the expensive side. Came here with three other friends and we ordered our own entrée dishes and was underwhelmed. Things we asked for spicy weren’t. Our waiter was a bit weird. I asked for a shrimp dish and he said there wasn’t any shrimp, but then he moments later he said he could make a shrimp entrée. Literally the entrée is one small bowl that is mainly sauce and with a small portion of rice. Good thing we ordered naan to complement it. Also, I ordered an masala chai and it was heavily watered down.

Their mango lassi is less sweet and has more yogurt than the ones at Mt. Everest, so I’d recommend it if you don’t have a sweet tooth. Otherwise, their Indian food isn’t anything special, but what bumps them up to 4 stars is their great customer service! I ordered a medium spicy baigan bartha which turned out to be too spicy for my tastes. My waiter noted that and immediately mitigated the spiciness with yogurt and added two MORE pieces of freshly-made naan. He wrapped the boxed items with saran wrap to seal in the moisture of the food. I don’t see this level of care everyday. Thanks, Mumba Indian Grill!

Overall a great experience. The atmosphere is much classier than other Indian restaurants I’ve visited, and the service was really great. I had the chicken curry which was good, but a little more tomato-y than I expected. My husbands chicken masala was closer to my favorite Indian food flavor, so I’ll probably get something similar to that next time. The naan was also really good, but was just a bit to dry(if you’re being picky;) Really enjoyed it, and our glasses were never even half empty. Appreciated the great service and clean bathrooms!
