Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I have rented many cars from this North Evanston location. I must say, Joe is an excellent, thorough worker. I have never had an issue renting cars from them and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Made a reservation by phone, was told I would have an economy car at 10 a.m. the next morning and was given a reservation number. Upon arrival, we were told they had no car. They did not deny that I had a reservation. They claimed that if I was having my own car repaired at the Gerber next door, they’d have a rental car. This is some in-​house rule, which was not disclosed at the time I made the reservation. The guy I dealt with was unhelpful, bureaucratic and not too bright. His name is Joe. He wouldn’t tell me his last name; so that gives you an idea of how in the wrong (and moronic) they were. Very annoying experience. You cannot rely on Enterprise when they give you a reservation number.

I do like Enterprise it’s great that they pick you up. Our driver Roy was an exceptional person. I would give 5 stars, but this office was severely understaffed: 1 clerk, 1 driver. Lots of customers 30 min before closing. 1 problem customer holding up everyone!

I rent from this location for over a year now. The service has been very good, always courteous and friendly. Cars are kept clean and well maintained.

Eric was very helpful with the whole process and expedited my rental after the horrible experience with their other location.

I was extremely happy with my recent experience renting a car with Enterprise, Evanston. Everything went flawlessly!

The ‘manager’, Dina is the most dishonest and rude woman. She need to be locked up.

This was the fastest car rental experience I’ve had outside an airport. I came in on Friday at noon and was out by 12:15. When I returned the car on Saturday at 10:15, I was out by 10:20. They were very polite and friendly, and I couldn’t be happier with how fast the whole thing took.
Quick tip: The entrance is at the back of the building on Prairie Avenue. There is no easement on Greenbay.

Very upset that they tried to blame me for a very minor/​faint scratch that was barely visible. I didn’t notice the scratch when I rented the car because they positioned the car against a fence so I couldn’t see that side very well. But sure enough when I returned the car and they examined it away from the fence and without any obstruction they were persistent in trying to blame me! They suggested that some branch from a bush might have caused the scratch. That just shows you how faint it was that a branch could have caused it. So I insisted that they park the car in the exact spot where it was initially examined and try to find the scratch; they couldn’t see it. If I hadn’t done that; I’d be paying for a minor imperfection cause by another driver. My advice is just be careful and thorough when you inspect your car. Mention EVERY single ding or scratch and inspect in good light away from fence. Would never rent from them again.

I called many car rental places and got the best deal from Enterprise, Green Bay Rd in Evanston. Then I found out Enterprise opens at 7:30 am, the other guys don’t open until 8 or 9 a.m. It makes a big difference when you are going on a road trip. The customer service was great, friendly staff even at 7:30 am. They had my car washed and ready for me. I got unlimited miles in a new car that got great miles to the gallon which made it a true deal. You get in and out quickly, I will use them again.
