Here’s the thing. I lived in a city that didn’t have a Panera for a year and a half and couldn’t wait to get back to one that was near a location. Finally move to Augusta, that has not one but two locations and I’ve lost the excitement that I used to have. They keep adding new tricky ways to sneak up the prices(especially with the you pick 2 that I normally get) and I think the portion sizes are getting smaller, as well. We used to come after church, but found that for the price we are paying for lunch(over $ 20 for the two of us with drinks) we could be having a much nicer lunch. I will still come here to get a drink and maybe a small pastry, but I think the days of full lunches here are over for me. Also, the rewards used to be attainable(every few bagels bought a free one) but now if I remember correctly it’s 10 pick 2s in a month and you get a free one. Hmm, no thanks. To end on a positive note, I do still enjoy their autumn squash in the fall, regardless if they don’t give as much.

Great place to enjoy a coffee, eat a scone and surf the wifi. They have a good selection of breads, pastries, bagels and cookies. They have tasty sandwiches and soups. I would suggest a breadbowl with one of their hearty soups. I love their chia tea lattes. Delicious cardamom and cinnamon. A favorite during the Fall, but great all year long. I got my wife hooked on them recently. Their only downfalls are high coffee prices, but you’ll find that everywhere where good coffee is found.

Look to pay around 12 for a meal with drink. I had the full italian combo with an apple and drink. My first impression of the inside is that of a seating area in a hotel. Nothing necessarily off putting but at the same time you kind of want to get of there. The place is fast casual. As in you will place your order and sit down fora few minutes before its ready. The food came out i a reasonable amount of time. The sandwhich was very good. Plenty of meat and veggies. The only thing i do not like is all their condiments come in packs. It works buf it feels as if you are forever opening packs trying to dab it on the sandwich. The apple was a bit disappointing. It was small and wasn’t especially tasty.

If you haven’t had Panera before, don’t go to this one. I wouldn’t want you getting the wrong impression. And if you have had it, you’ll be disappointed. Severely. Stay. Away.

Typical great service, but healthy breakfast sandwich was very bland. We tried to order a bagel pack and they were out of several cream cheeses… very disappointing.

Tried their turkey avocado BLT sandwich, which they claimed was their most popular. For about $ 6 you get two slices of avocado, two slices of tomato, and a few pieces of turkey with bread. The results were just mediocre to say the least. I was pretty disappointed.

Food was good. Atmosphere is nice. Eat there often. I like that the staff tends to be polite and patient. Sometimes I have no idea what I want and they tend to be happy to help me figure that out.

I normally don’t eat here. Usually just order and go. Today I sat at a booth and couldn’t believe how dirty the walls and upholstery on the booth are. This place needs a really good wiping down. Chair backs are gross too.

My panini is generally cold meat in a very rock hard bread. It cut my gums. I come here every now and then when I get tired of Starbucks. Then I remember why I stop coming here each time. Last time they kept serving me salad that had gone bad. I got sick from the half rotten salad last time.

Definitely my favorite Panera in Augusta. This location is fairly large, and usually has plenty of seating. The tables are arranged so you don’t feel like you are eating with the family sitting at the next table. Not much to say about the food except its Panera. Internet is plenty fast and free for any study needs, and there are usually plenty of places to sit if you’re looking for a place to study at this is a great spot!

I usually don’t write reviews but the service I received at this panera was review worthy. It was AWFUL! I have never in my life been treated so badly. I mean even at fast food restaurants they have better service. My problem is not with all employees there because all the times I have visited this location they have all been nice and inviting. They have helped me in any way I needed. On this particular night what I can only assume was the manager. I ordered my food and sat down. As I proceeded to eat my sandwich I realized it had a weird taste. I took it up to the counter and asked if I could get something else because I was not satisfied with the sandwich. She then told me that the reason I didn’t like it was because of the horseradish.(No where on the menu did it specify the sandwich had horseradish on it. If it had I wouldn’t have gotten it!) she then gave me an attitude about giving me a different sandwich. She told me they don’t usually switch out items, which I know is not true because at any other Panera I’ve been to they have been happy to accommodate me. She then took the sandwich from me, threw it down and yelled at someone to make me a new sandwich. I know this might not sound like a big deal but the way the whole situation was handled was rude. I feel like if you are in the restaurant business the customer should come first. If it is your policy to not change out items then it needs to be posted for your customers to see. Also I think it is completely rude to tell a customer what they like or don’t like. That’s my rant! I will not be returning to that Panera with my business.

I feel like Panera is starting to get worse as the years go by. I miss the old days when it was the St. Louis Bread Co. I looked forward to my blueberry bagel with raspberry cream cheese and had eaten it so many times I had the number of bites it took down to a science. Seeing how I’d eaten it for over 20 years(I know how crazy that sounds) it saddened me to realize my bagel bites were lessened by 4. Kinda threw my OCD off but I got over it. The soup portions have gotten smaller, the pecan buns are not as sticky as it used to be and prices keep spiking higher and higher. I’d understand if the quality of food was getting better and better but it hasn’t and I’ve had friends return food back to the store from catering orders. I’m forced to expand my lunchtime routine to include more than just sandwich and soups but will try Atlanta Bread Co. ’cause it can’t be much worse than the way Panera has gotten. 35⁄2014

I’ve gone to plenty of Panera Breads in the past, and I was quite disappointed when I stopped by this one. First off, I ordered the tomato mozz panini and a brownie. I came around dinner time so I understand that it’d be crowded, so it made no sense at all to me that they closed off a whole section of the dining area with chairs. Literally 7 – 8 tables were blocked off and the rest of the dining area was packed, with only the bad awkwardly positioned tables left(the ones in the middle, so everyone can see me eating as I’m surfing on my laptop). The sandwich was okay, but when I dug into my brownie, I was sorely let down. It was hard! What happened to Panera being a BAKERY? A place that supposedly offers FRESH baked goods? I guess my brownie had been sitting in the display out in the open for too long, but the employees should have noted this much earlier. Anyways, I ate the thing anyways, Chocolate is chocolate, I suppose. but it wasn’t good.

Sandwich was great, soup was hot and so was the French baguette! Plenty of people here but it wasn’t too loud. Both employees were very friendly. Happy with Panera as usual!

I usually love Panera Bread… but this was my first time at this particular location. The sandwiches were thrown together sloppily, and were very thin for the price. And the staff behind the counter was pretty unfriendly and looked ticked off to be there. Overall, a very disappointing $ 26 food experience. One positive comment: the new mac and cheese is very good.

Panera doesn’t even need a review but I have to say that we were so happy to see one of our favorite sandwich places here! There are not a lot of healthy eating choices here in Augusta but Panera is organic, delicious & inexpensive!
