The owner got married. His new wife is in control and the food has really gone downhill. The prices have gone up, the food quality and quantity down. This used to be our favorite little hole in the wall. Now, I might stop by if I’m in the area. I’ll come back when the owner divorces this woman and comes back to his senses.

I love this place… unfortunately my stomach doesnt. Best true Mexican comida. Not the cleanest place but sometimes you have to dig to find the oyster. Their seafood is AMAZING, especially their ceviche and shrimp cocktail. Mmmm mmmm mmm. One of the best restaurants in Evans.

Well, the book WAS better than its cover in this case. We found this hole in the wall while in-between games at a baseball tournament in Evans — we only had 45 minutes to find something to eat, and even the extra mile to get to a Chipotle was more than we could spare. And there’s a lot to be said for experiencing the local fare. So… Unilocal to the rescue. Again. What Miriscos Y Tacos lacks in charm and atmosphere(and it lacks A LOT), it more than made up with in tasty tacos.(We knew it couldn’t be that bad since it was PACKED when we drove by at noon on our way to the ball park). Tacos were excellent, service was very friendly and prompt… just a good solid find in Evans, CO.

Don’t let the hole-in-the-wall ambiance fool you, these guys make legit food! I used to eat there all the time back when I used to live in Greeley, although I’m sure they changed owners several times since I used to go there back in 2005. I recently had to make a trip to Greeley, and on the way realized I was absolutely starving. Having eaten at Mariscos about a dozen times in the past, I decided to make a quick stop and get some tacos — this was probably the best decision I made that day. I ordered the 5-taco plate(only $ 6!) with 2 tacos de lingua(beef tongue), 1 taco barbacoa(stewed pork), 1 taco al pastor(marinted pork), and 1 taco de cabeza(beef cheek). All of the above were absolutely delicious! I’ve had street tacos all over mexico and the US and have to say these tacos are as close as they come to stuff you can find in Mexico City. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.
