Hospice helped my family at a time when we really needed it, and my grief counselor, Mary, has been an indispensable part of my support network. We have an amazing rapport and I feel like I can tell her anything. She makes house calls, which has been really important as in the early stages I was not in any condition to get up, get dressed and leave the house. She is also one of the wisest, kindest and most understanding people I have ever met: an angel on Earth. The only reason I’m not giving Hospice 5 stars is that, whenever I call, they ask me to repeat my name two or three times. It’s Henry. I have a high voice and apparently it is totally unbelievable that my name could be Henry??? I really feel like they need to go through some kind of sensitivity training.
