This is not a fancy nursery and it has a limited selection. However, it’s a family-​run, work in progress and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t tell you how many times they have given me free «starts» on something or just given away something that maybe needed a lot of TLC. They grow a lot of their own plants — and their prices are generally quite reasonable. It has been one of my favorite nurseries. I wish they had a larger selection — but you just can’t do it all. They have special ordered items for me, which is great. But, sometimes I want that instant gratification. Still… I love supporting this old, local nursery.

This is, and has for years been, my favorite local nursery… it is a working nursery. They propagate a lot of their own stuff… right before your very eyes. I love wandering around through the various old greenhouses seeing what is new, what is old, and what «science projects» they are currently working on. Plant knowledgeable but not snooty, the staff has been there for years… and years, and years. Owner, family run, always a treat to visit, and I always come home with something fascinating!
