Rude and non-responsive to guests. Clean is the only positive but lumpy bed and unfriendly staff.

went there this past weekend at the last minute and stayed in the Garden view suite. the room itself was well kept, looked clean and had the old style look and feel to it, which I guess since it is an old house it would look and feel that way. But on that note, the bed squeaked a lot and loud, so any movement i’m sure the whole house could hear. Shower had good water pressure and the water got hot pretty quick. When I made the reservation the lady asked if were any food concerns for breakfast, I’m thinking food allergies, which there were none. Lets talk about breakfast. When I saw the other reviews about breakfast I was thinking ‘breakfast”, eggs of some sort, bacon or sausage„ maybe some toast and jelly or maybe some of those scones with quiche I was reading about. Nope, not this time. we were served two small round shaped sausage patties(like just bigger than a silver dollar) and what I later found out after asking was a stuffed french toast — it was stuffed with apples, topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Not what we expected and my g/f doesn’t like that kind of stuff for breakfast. When I asked if they had anything else they said they had maybe one egg there and brought up about them asking about food concerns and I said I thought they were talking about allergies. So needless to say she left hungry and I left disappointed with the breakfast. Bob was nice, didn’t talk much but was pleasant. The lady, whose name escapes me, kind of reminded me of Aunt Bee and Alice combined, kind of friendly but seemed standoffish. I will plan better next time and go somewhere else,

We got a kick out of this place! We were pleased with the amenities, breakfast was very good. Fun location. The«history» of each room was very entertaining… perhaps total fiction– but entertaining… we are big on Customer Service and hospitality both so important in the BnB business… however, a wee bit lacking at the Daly house. Go figure.

We stayed here for a night during a roadtrip. I tend to love old-fashioned things, so I was charmed by the house and décor. We wished we’d had more time to spend just in the B&B itself — reading, playing Scrabble, having tea, etc. Breakfast was excellent: I still think about those scones, and the quiche was also delicious. They accommodated my partner’s kosher dietary needs, too, with chicken sausage rather than pork sausage, and Bob kindly refilled our glasses and mugs during breakfast. We shared the meal with some other guests — an adorable family whose little girls were hilarious and so charming. My partner and I agreed that we’d like to come back to this B&B. My one significant complaint is that when we arrived for our 4:00 check-in, we had to wait around downstairs because a large group of senior citizens from Florida were being given a tour of the house. I understand it’s a historic landmark, but either tours should not overlap with the check-in time or someone else should always be available to check in guests, in case tours go long(as this particular tour apparently did). It didn’t help that we had just gotten off the road and both needed to use the restroom.

This is my first B&B experience. Our first impression of this house and layout/décor is WOW(4 stars). Parking is just right outside the garden, in an alley(3 stars). We stayed at Miss Martha’s room, which as 2 narrow twin size beds. I don’t recommend it because there’s no WIFI signal and you can hear street traffic and hall way noises.(0 star) Thou, there’s a really nice shared bathroom across the hall. The cost is $ 140/night. Breakfast is only available at 7:30am and 9am. If you have to leave early like us, only continental breakfast(yogurt, fruits, croissant, coffee/juice) is available. Otherwise, you probably will get the gourmet meal like others mentioned in their reviews.(2 stars) Like other reviewers from , we didn’t feel quite welcome there. Unfortunately, I left my jacket and vast in the closet. Bob was nice enough to call about 2 hours later. I asked if he can mail them to my address. He said yes and there will be a charge, then he collected my CC info and address. It was last Thursday morning, right now it is Tuesday evening and there’s no package yet…(1.5 stars)

After not having stayed in a B & B in forever, we stayed in 3 during this trip. The first one was like staying at Grandma’s house, the second at your favorite aunt’s house and this one was… staying with Dad. Check-in time is 4:00…That is 4:00. Breakfast is at 8:30…That is 8:30. If I was to guess what Bob did in his former life, I would say Military. We stayed in the Garden View Suite, it was very clean, towels hung with precision and care, amenities, well, the soap was small. The wine and cheese service was serviceable. Ordinary cheeses, and ordinary wine… but I’m a bit of a cheese and wine snob… so… The breakfast was a very nice effort; the egg soufflé was really nice; fluffy eggs in an individual ramekin, served with fresh cut fruit, and unfortunately cold bacon. The scones were really nice though. Bob was right there to give refills of coffee and orange juice. Donna also came out to say hey. After breakfast, as we were ready to leave, everyone seemed to relax a little, Bob actually smiled. LindySez: I’m sure Dad loves you, and loves what he’s doing, but he has a hard time showing it.
