This place is amazing! There isn’t a bad thing I can say. The people, the environment, and the food is stellar! Wish I lived closer, I would be here daily!

Quaint little café that used to be a house. Great porch to dine on, and dog friendly! A locals hangout with cheap drinks and great coffee/tea options. Did not eat here, but will have brunch here next time for sure!

Very cool place. Tables on porch and funky décor remind us of Hyde Park(Austin) circa 1980. Excellent breakfast, smoked salmon and fresh eggs! Nibbles meets Mud Street Café, butter lighter. Closer Nibbles in quality. Coffee better @ Nibbles.

Oscar’s was very good food. We had the mufaletta, which was very good, and the side salad that came with it was very fresh and lite. The others with us had the goat cheese sandwich and they loved it. It’s a little bit off the beaten path but worth it. The atmosphere of the restaurant would be the biggest negative. Just really no atmosphere at all.

The food was delicious and the service was great. It is a very laid back place. Seat yourself. Order your food at counter. I had the turkey melt. It was so good and I normally don’t like sandwiches. I sat outside on a beautiful fall day. I would definitely go back.

Extremely fresh and wonderful food every time! Outstanding quiches, bagels, salads, sandwiches and desserts. A local favorite. The salmon bagel is an everything bagel topped with a wonderful concoction of cucumbers, pickled onions and capers on top of cream cheese and the best salmon. My favorite!

Holy MOLY that’s some killer food right there! ;) We went for everything the Unilocal I read recommended and it was literally off the chain. The BrieLT was amazing… the flavor was so unique and on point — it’s ruined the BLT for me forever. ;) Alex had that and I was totally jealous! I stole 2 bites :) I ordered the Bacon & Brie quiche of the day and the waffle with lemon curd and sour cream and both were excellent. The lemon curd(similar to a lemon pudding) and sour cream gifted me with a new favorite topping… OMG so good. The waffle was thin and the perfect blend of crisp meets soft, meets sweet/sour/creamy. I want to go back tomorrow before we leave to try something else! Amazing!

This was a great place to stop for breakfast on my way out of town. Truth-be-told, it wasn’t our first choice, but boy am I glad we ended up here. My wife and I ordered a few things to split, all of which we’d highly recommend! The Norwegian waffle with lemon curd & sour cream compote was awesome. I’m not a huge lemon-flavor fan, but paired with the sour cream this was a home run. The spinach, feta & onion quiche was flaky and delicious … and the side salad paired with it came with a marvelous(& light) dressing. The nice addition to our meal was splitting the cheddar & pepper scratch-made biscuit. NOMNOMNOM. Their lattes & cappuccinos are tasty and made fresh with their espresso machine. Great prices too compared to Starbucks. *BONUS: Free parking on the street! Every other place in the main«Downtown» area requires you to pay in public lots for parking!

The Norwegian waffle is a must try. Topped with lemon curd and sour cream might sound a little weird, but it was delicious. It tasted just like the frosted lemon cookies my grandma use to always have. We also had the quiche of the day which was bacon, spinach and feta. It came with a side salad tossed in a circus lemon dressing. The crust of the quiche was savory and flakey, and the salad was a nice refreshing addition. Lastly we had the cheddar peppered biscuit which was amazing. I recommend adding it to any meal. Being a lover of biscuits, Oscar’s biscuit has officially been entered to my top 3 list.

Absolutely loved this place!!! The food was fresh, made from scratch tasting and super delicious! Norwegian Waffle with curd and sour cream– not huge size but very good. Chocolate torte with sour cream– AMAZING! Brie blt– awesome! Even the kid’s pb&j was great size and quality. Homemade ice cream(malted milk and chocolate stout) — delicious and served in very cute mason jars they’d been frozen in. Great presentation. We didn’t have one complaint and will definitely be back when we’re in the area again.

We loved this place. We had the veggie muffaletta and salmon bagel sandwich. Both delicious with a small salad on the side. Sat on the veranda and ate while chatting with some locals including the owner’s husband. Cool atmosphere and just slightly off the beaten path on a really cute street. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Found this place thanks to Unilocal and it did not disappoint! This is exactly the kind of earthy, healthy place I like to frequent. You know your foodie self is rubbing off when your 7 year old asks if they use real cheese in their ham and cheese. They do and he loved this place. I had the smoked salmon bagel, definitely recommend! Love that they use simple lemon juice and olive oil on the side salad, such a refreshing taste. On our way out we grabbed a couple lattes and if you like strong espresso like me, you won’t be disappointed. Do wish they had ceiling fans on the porch as they have tables there, but it was too hot today.

Though we have been to Eureka many times, this was our first visit to Oscars. We were impressed! The smoked salmon on my breakfast plate was especially good, and was accompanied by scrambled eggs, a tasty cheddar pepper biscuit and side salad with grilled tomatoes. My wife reported her frenchini was superb — filled with strawberry cream cheese and topped with sliced bananas and strawberries with a side of real maple syrup. The iced mocha was also good and included coffee ice cubes so as not to dilute the flavor. While I am not a huge fan of raisins, their raisin scone was fresh and flavorful. To say the least, we will be coming to Oscars again. If the experience is consistent, it will become a new favorite!

So let me start out by saying that Unilocal actually helped me pick out this place. Compared to the rest of the local restaurants, this one is a bit off the beaten path and is located in what looked and felt like a neighborhood. While waiting in line, that was outside the door no less, this place obviously had some serious love from the locals. Everyone in line told me to get the #5, a sandwich known officially as Oscar’s Brie L.T. While waiting in line I learned that this place makes everything from scratch, bread, dessert, jams, sour cream, everything. The Sandwich — Oscar’s Brie L.T. is, in fact, life changing. Let’s start with the bread, it was toasted and certainly tasted freshly baked, crisp on the outside chewy under the shell. Then was lettuce that tasted like a fresh medley of different greens that one might grow in their garden. The tomatoes(to which normally I’m never a fan of) were marinated to perfection. The brie was slightly smokey and smooth, and they were certainly generous with it. I’ve saved the bet part for last — the black pepper bacon. The bacon is true applewood smoked bacon, and is over ¼ thick(one piece was almost half the thickness of my index finger). This is no «cooked in the morning then left out all day» kind of bacon, this is it is right then skillet cooked to order bacon. A true bacon’s bacon. You can add extra bacon, or enhance any other menu item to anything for $ 2, and never has $ 2 so easily left my wallet. I was so impressed with this sandwich that I went back and ordered the exact same thing the next day of my two day trip to Eureka Springs. I was lucky enough to talk my friends into sharing their food with me as well, and their smoked salmon is money. Their turkey bacon melt is also top notch, but the brie is was sold me on the #5. Oh, one thing to add, they don’t use condiments such as mustard. I’m not sure if it is available, I’m sure it is, but this is the first sandwich I’ve ever had that I’ve never asked for it, and the sandwich certainly didn’t seem to miss it at all. The Desserts — I had their Coco-Choco-Coffee Cake and it is a game changer. The chocolate icing was fused with coffee beans and there are large coconut shavings on top. I also had their dark chocolate tort. It had the texture somewhere between a brownie and a chocolate ganache, and the flavor is heavenly; it is also served with a side of vanilla sour cream, a tasty addition to an already perfect tort. Lastly I had their Norwegian waffle with sour crème and house made lemon jam. Every bite was perfectly crunchy yet smooth, tart yet sweet. The Location/Staff — The place is ran out of a house that has been converted into a restaurant. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and feels like a peaceful escape from the monotony of everyday work life. The staff is incredibly welcoming and loving; they truly felt like friends I had made many years ago and once again got to see, despite this being our first actual encounter. I felt truly at home/like one of the locals at this place. TL:DR Simply put, this place is amazing. I have had more sandwiches than I could ever imagine counting, and this is the only place that I can easily say serves the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Their staff and food is truly offers what eating out is all about. This is one of the few places I’d feel like rating 6 stars if it was an option.

Yes. This place all the time. Yes. When I visit family, we come here for brunch and I love it every time. The food is always fresh and wonderful. The waitstaff is friendly. The coffee is always hot and good(and I am quite the coffee snob). The rooms are eclectic, the porch is sweet and there is nearly always ample seating. I love this place because while it is on the historic loop, it seems like a hidden treasure, a simple place tucked away for only the locals to enjoy. I need to pick up this place and take it to Kansas City.
