I was attempting to support a black owned business. I stopped by on a Saturday around 10:30 am. There were no cars in the parking lot but I was like I’m sure someone is here during normal business hours. The door was locked. I then called the phone number and I left a message. No one ever returned my call. Horrible!

The part of the salon I was being tended to was a bit messy (from the prior clients hair). Joy, my stylist was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I have very short hair & wanted the relaxed ends trimmed off. I also received a wash & conditioner treatment to ensure the relaxed hair was gone. Took about 25 minutes. The only part that upset me was paying $ 45. I could not believe it was $ 45 for a trim and wash. I drove to Euless (30 min away) to support a Black owned business to be overcharged. The prices in the front where you pay stated that the owner charges by the hour, which is ridiculous. I will not go again. Next time I will make sure that a 5 minute trim does not equal $ 50 (I tipped Joy $ 5, to be kind). I’m still in shock. I almost wanted to walk out.

I went here yesterday to get Senegalese twists installed for a trip. The braider, Yousra, was so quick and she did a fantastic job. The salon has TVs with Netflix subscriptions so I was entertained while she did my hair. Five hours later (yes, exactly five hours), I emerged with neatly twisted hair– all for $ 157! They run special pricing for college students and a referral system where you get 10% off your next service for telling a friend about them. The owner Tafi is dedicated to growing her business; her interaction with customers and her employees proves it. Everyone in the salon was so friendly. You could tell that they have loyal customers, and they earned one more.

I needed a good hair cut during my lunch break and i saw this place across the street from my work. I didn’t know what to expect because i typically don’t go to a Salon, but i was in a time crunch. The owner Tafi greeted me at the door and threw me in a chair. I explained the hair cut i wanted as well as the nasty cowlick that most barbers cant work around. 20 min later i had a perfect fresh hair cut, and i was on my way. Tafi’s shop has a relaxed atmosphere which calmed me during my stressful work day. Her and her employees are really funny and seem to have a great time at work. I’ll defiantly be going here again.
