I love Trader Joe’s. They have a wide variety of unique food items and a beautiful produce department. While the store is almost always busy, it is usually clean and staff work hard to keep it well stocked. I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I have tried a variety of their frozen foods and have been very pleased with most of their items.(The sweet potato fries are awesome!) I have also found their prices to be extremely reasonable, I would definitely pay more for some items but am glad that I don’t have to :)

Snarky checker! Accidentally got in line on express line that was not clearly marked«Express», and my checker complained during the entire transaction to me AND the person bagging my groceries who was MUCH more understanding. I respect express lines and never would have used that lane had I known and my checker made me feel very unwelcome, not the typical spirit of Trader Joe’s!

Pros: Good deals Delicious food Fresh produce Unique items Cheap wine Samples! Cons: The parking situation I really enjoy shopping here, there’s a few things I always get like the jars of fire roasted red peppers and the yogurt singles for my son. I’ve never been disappointed!

Coming from Hawaii, I was really excited to visit Trader Joe’s, I love the cheap prices and wide selection! I was surprised to find mochi ice cream, especially the Pumpkin Pie mochi ice cream flavor. The cashiers are very friendly and helpful, I once bought the wrong type of coffee, and they let me return/exchange it with no problem!

I like their mocha flavored ice cream bars! And my brother now works here so it’s nice for him since he lives so close to that area. I usually get the fearless flyer ads in the mail and look forward to seeing what kind of deals Trader Joe’s has going on(i don’t just look at it for the funny comics on the side) I don’t go in there very much since I live closer to the Sheldon area(my Brother lives in the Oakway area) so I stop in when I can.

The best snacks and cookies come from Trader Joe’s. The only problem is the parking lot. If you manage to find a parking spot get the Belgian butter almond thins. One time I opened the box in the car before I started driving home and twenty minutes later only half were left. My friend likes to smother them with speculoos and make it even more delicious. Another thing everyone has to try is the english cheddar with carmelized onions. It’s perfect on it’s own or with some toast. I buy a lot of vegan products here as well. The vegan cream cheese is better than regular cream cheese. I’ve had nothing but great experience with the staff here as well. I’m so happy we have a Trader Joe’s.

I love, love, love this store! No GMO’s, lots of organic foods, good meat & cheese selection, great beer and wine section, and the staff are helpful and always pleasant. But beyond the food being healthy, the prices are good for your wallet!!! Here at Trader Joe’s I can get healthy food without the budget busting prices of the nearby competition. Thank you Trader Joe’s!

Trader Joe’s is what it is. It’s not really bad but it’s not great. There are some really good selections of wine and fun treats that you can’t find elsewhere. The produce isn’t too bad although I prefer to buy(and typically do buy) my produce elsewhere. My only true complaint I have is the people that shop here. They tend to have the worst manners like ‘hogging’ the aisle and ignoring the fact that they are blocking you from an area you are needing access to. Oh, and the parking can be a bit scary at times, but that’s how the parking is at Oakway center in general.

The staff are friendly and prices affordable. Why 3 stars then because everything is way too packaged. I much prefer shopping bulk bins for staples using my own mason jars and here isn’t possible to do that. Even much of the produce is super packaged. Grower’s Market, Sundance, Capella, and New Frontier are much better shopping experience in my opinion.

I guess I’m not really sure what all of the fuss is about. People – you realize that basically all this place is, is a retail processed food store, right? Approximately every seven years I forget that I hate TJ’s. This year the jig was up for me. Hubs and I visited today because we were enticed by the Fearless Flyer. Beef wellington bites? Yes! Those will be perfect for a quick dinner some night! Spanish dry cured ham? An excellent choice for the charcuterie this holiday hosting season. How about the idea of onion dip? Or fig butter? We’ll be the hit of the party! Well a bag of organic blueberries, some cheese, a quintuplet of French mustard, and a whole entire hour later we finally realized that, other than said fruit and cheese, there were no other items we felt comfortable purchasing in the store! Many of the advertised items were from unknown origin, made with a butt-ton of irrelevant soy products, or were totally sold out. I dunno. This place feels like the TJ Maxx of food. Sure, we found a few things, but nothing was cheaper(or healthier) than what we could buy at any old grocery store in town.

This is a very small Trader Joe’s in the middle of a fairly big shopping center. It is right next to a huge bed, bath, and beyond. It is a typical Trader Joe’s with all the same offerings but in smaller quantities. I love their cheese selection. They also have a huge selection of wine and beer that takes up about half the store. It is always super crowded but the cashier lines move super quick.

Just arrived in Orygun? Sorry yeah. Skip Track Town and come on down to Trader Joe’s! It’s the only happening place in Eugene-Springfield! This Trader Joe’s doesn’t have the tacky Hawaiian touristy feel to the store, compared to the other stores in California. We’re visiting from Hawaii and it’s strange to miss that kitschy aloha vibe back in the islands. They don’t offer a bag credit, even if you bring your own reusable bag. Do not come here on an empty stomach. You will end up buying some weird hippie food stuff. At least they have a good return policy. No shame. They should offer a variety of samples during the week. I had the same mango-lemonade concoction sample every single day for one week. They need to do it Costco-style where the employees really get into character to get you to try their samples. If they are stocking shelves, they get tunnel vision and will not offer help no matter how long you are standing there like a headless chicken looking for sesame sticks. You have to ask. Trader Joe’s is still way cheaper than Whole Foods. Like wow. My favorites are their fresh strawberries and dark chocolates. All of them. My son has multiple food allergies so it’s always tricky to prepare his meals while we are traveling. Their ready-made foods were life savers for us! Be sure to ask for kids stickers too! And Oregon has no tax! Go Ducks!

Had to stop by here for 2 reasons– his mom needed a pit stop and I had to get milk for the little one. He was under the weather and has been having trouble keeping down dairy so I got him lactose-free milk(Lactaid) this time. After I grabbed the milk, I remembered my current true love at Trader Joe’s… their chocolate-hazelnut cookies so I scoured the sweets before the registers but did not see any so I ran to the frozen aisles and smiled to myself when I found it. As I was approaching a register, I spotted his mom. I put my stuff down and told her I got her brandy filled chocolates. I think the total was under $ 11 which was fine considering I got my cookies and ate 99.9% of it in 24 hours(gave 1 to his mom), tried a different milk for my monster, and got his mom a box of decadent sweets. it’s a triple win situation! The store layout is similar to the Trader Joe’s I have been to but the store is more open, not cramped, and even though it was 11:45am on a Sunday, the place was nowhere near«crazy» as it is here in CA. Great customer service, too!
