We recently moved to Oregon and needed a mattress. Excellent service. We could return our mattress after 20 days without any problem. Staff. Was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I came into this store on Black Friday afternoon to lay on an Englander latex mattress to see how they feel. Of course, we ended up laying on a bunch of mattresses all over the store, and spent an inordinate amount of time on the Tempurpedics, as they are obscenely comfortable. The sales associate was quite pleased, and gave us all kinds of different pillows to try, and ran us through all of the bells and whistles on the movable base models. There were a couple other patrons in the store over our hour there, but it was mostly just us, and the saleswoman was quite attentive. She decided she needed to close the deal, apparently, because she asked us which bed we wanted to buy. We said we wanted to think about it(the model we liked was $ 4200), and needed a little time. She became visibly agitated and turned up the heat on the hard sell, making it seem as though there was no acceptable reason for us to not buy the mattress at that very instant. At which point we shut down, and said we just weren’t ready. She stomped off like a child throwing a tantrum(we were all sitting on the Tempurpedics), and went back to the front desk where she thought she was out of earshot, to complain to the other sales associate about how we had wasted her time. We were upset, and drove to a different mattress store that very evening to buy the mattress. My aunt and uncle live in Eugene, and are in desperate need of a new mattress, and(needless to say) I will be steering them toward a Tempurpedic, and away from The Mattress Company. Does the hard sell really work on anyone? UPDATE: After posting this review, I was contacted by the store owner. He was really upset about they way we had been treated and was very apologetic. He made it quite clear that he doesn’t approve of anyone being pressured into buying a mattress of any kind, and seemed to genuinely want to make things right. Hopefully, my experience was a total anomaly, and it never happens again. I’ve bumped the original review up from 1 to 3 stars accordingly.

Fantastic staff here! My girlfriend and I came in here to buy our first mattress and were blown away by how professional, and helpful, the staff were. We had already been to the Sleep Train on Coburg(near Chipotle) and were very disappointed with how they did things. The Mattress Company was more than willing to meet our prices and offered flexible next day delivery. Would definitely recommend it!!!

A big thank you to these guys!!! I love my Tempupedic bed! They worked with me on what beds would be best to help avoid pressure sores, I’m paraplegic. The sales person was very sensitive to my needs and seemed more interested in helping me find a bed that would help keep me healthy than up selling me to the highest price bed with all the bells and whistles. They know their products and you can tell by their professionalism that this is their main focus… unlike the department stores or big box stores. My husband and I were so happy with our mattress and the service we received that we went back and bought a bed from them for our son.

We bought a bed and a mattress on the 3rd of January. We we received the mattress in less then a week. The bed we were told would take 6 – 8 weeks as the vendor was going build it. 8 weeks came and went with no bed or update as to the progress of it. When we called to check on the status we were told within a week hopefully but that they would check with the vendor and get back to us. When they called to say it should be done next week my wife told them the customer service and no status updates on our order was poor customer service. And while telling them, the employee she was dealing with started getting loud, cutting her off and saying it wasn’t in their control to get it here any quicker. She tried saying how he was speaking to her was unacceptable but he kept doing it and she just hung up. Two days later they call us and tell us our bed is in and they can deliver it that day. We say sure and when the bed shows up its the WRONGONE.

You would be crazy not to come to these guys for a new bed. I went to them a couple years ago when they had only the one store. They have clean stores, great prices and the staff are the helpful kind, not get the sale kind. Wife and I met with Jen and she was super laid back and told us to take our time and said on average it takes about 15 minutes laying on a mattress to really feel if it will work for you. If you want a great selection and people who know their beds, come here, period
