The Daily Bagel

Lox bagel, Chicago bagel dog, the quiche (quickie)…tried them All and they are quite delicious!
I’m not a hard core coffee drinker, but they have delicious sounding drinks have some non dairy options as well as Mexican hot chocolate (its real good!).
The staff is always nice and service is fast.

Update: I received an email apologizing for the bad service from the owner, and she also had the staff prepare a gift card for me to use the next time we came in. We went there this morning and it was great. Everyone knew who I was and apologized for the last time, the food tasted great, and I was able to use my gift card. This is the kind of customer service that will keep me coming back here. How you treat your customers matters! It’s the most important consideration for me when I think about where I am going to spend my money, and I’m happy to continue coming here in the future. Thanks Srithrip and The Daily Bagel :)

Wow. So we went in this morning to get breakfast for the family and it was super disappointing. They didn’t toast our bagels, so our sandwiches were these limp, soggy things, and I don’t know what was going on with the eggs but they looked and tasted like sponges. I couldn’t even finish my sandwich.
I’ve been in here many, many times, and my girls love to get bagels for breakfast as a treat. It’s been really decent in the past, but they failed hard today. I don’t know what’s going on with the shops over here in this little shopping center. Maybe they have become complacent because they are the only things around and just figure people will come no matter what? I don’t know, but they need to fix it or they will lose me as a customer for good.

I’ve been here twice now. I can’t say that I’m overly impressed with their bagels, but both of the lattes that I have were superb! Too many places add so much milk that there’s no espresso flavor. I drink my coffee black because I actually like the flavor of coffee and it’s the same with my lattes. I want to taste the espresso! I love that they’re just down the street from my apartment, and easy to get to.
I haven’t had any issues with the service… everyone’s been nice and plesant to me!

Their coffee is always on point! I love their drinks! I’ve been here at least 50 times and the coffee is super consistently good! The food is also yummy and the staff is awesome. There’s just one employee who’s always ALWAYS pissy. She’s plain, blond and seemingly in the late stages of puberty so I suppose emotions are in tumult. Still though ⁵⁄₅ since small flaws can’t be helped.

It was a Monday afternoon. I was 17 years old, and I was feeling in the need for a snack and a safe place to enjoy it. However, what I got was the exact opposite.
When I first walked in, I looked at the selection of bagels wanted a cinnamon bagel. When I looked for said bagel, it had a sign that read, «we have the bagels, you just have to ask.»
So, I casually strolled up to the register and inquired about my cinnamon bagel. Then, in a rude and somewhat mocking tone, I was told that the bagel, the cinnamon bagel, was not in stock. Then I said, «oh that’s fine. I guess I’ll have a regular bagel.» The cashier replied, «you mean PLAIN?» in a very angry and unfriendly tone.
So then I said, «oh yeah,» and she said, «we don’t have that either. Maybe you should look before ordering.» Overall, I walked out sans the bagel and felt personally attacked. Zero out of 10 would recommend. Where is my cinnamon bagel? I give The Daily Bagel one star with a heavy heart. I wish there was a no star option.

I love this place. We went way out of our way to come try this place out. Very cute atmosphere. I will definitely be back. I would not hesitate to drive two and half hours again to come to this place again.

I’ve been a long time customer of the daily bagel, and lived in the general area a couple times over the years (I don’t frequent the spot consistently anymore, I now live across town). The service is usually hit and miss, some days it’s great, and sometimes I would consider it to be relatively poor.
My last experience wasn’t the most pleasant. I walked in to see two employees acknowledge me entering, look away with out saying anything, while offering no expressions. That’s odd and unwelcoming, in my opinion, as it doesn’t take much to greet someone after looking at them. I won’t be returning for awhile, as I’ve received similar vibes in the past.
On that particular day it wasn’t too busy, but I understand it gets much busier. The bagels and coffee are enjoyable enough to return for, without question. I personally will not be returning, simply due to the service I received.

My family only comes on Sunday mornings and it’s usually fairly quiet. Our service has been fine and reasonably quick (not freaky fast like jimmy johns!) but were talkin bagels not subs! The lox is always delicious and capers falling all over the place as I chase them down like runts candies only they taste better! What are capers anyway? other than delicious. My kids Love the berry cream cheese and beg us to take them there. And a sac of day olds usually follows me home (sometimes I even toss them at the dudes on the corners that don’t yell at passers by) anyway it’s a nice clean little place with news or sport news on the tv’s a nice selection of tasty morsels and somewhere I’ll keep coming back. I can’t complain about the coffee like some others bc I don’t get any. Fin

I’ve noticed at times some stations have been unmanned. It took us longer to get our Chai Lattes than our bagel sandwich order, which was okay because it probably wouldn’t of tasted good together.
Not bad price-​wise…

The very responsive owner let me know that she would see how the coffee could be improved and we are happy to say that we are very satisfied with the result. Very good coffee now.
We really want to like this place. It is the perfect location for our morning bagel walk. The bagels are good, the service good but the deal breaker for us is the coffee. It has little flavor and tastes watered down. The courteous staff let us try different coffees to no avail. Please work on the coffee we want to come back.

My boyfriend and I often argue about whether or not the Daily Bagel is worth the wait. To be fair, the food and drinks are pretty good, and the staff is usually friendly. And I’ve never had a problem when I’ve dropped in for a latte at 6:00 am and was the only customer. But once they get busy, the place falls apart.
We stopped by for bagel sandwiches (to go) this morning at 10:50, and didn’t leave until after 11:30. While we waited in line with 12 other people, there was no one making drinks, one person making sandwiches, and at least two people in the back room that weren’t helping in the front. We actually watched a staff member in the back room drink a latte and chat with a co-​worker during our entire time in line. After ordering our sandwiches, we waited for 19 minutes (yes, he timed it).
Our experience represents a pretty standard visit. It’s very frustrating standing in a long line and watching the staff amble around with seemingly no regard for efficiency or good customer service. I’m not sure we’d go here if it wasn’t so conveniently located near our apartment. Bottom line – make sure you aren’t in a rush, or it’s early enough that you’re the only customer.

Daily bagel is always fresh and delicious. We are regulars here because of their quality, commitment to the community, and speedy service.

Great little place!!! Had the Lox Bagel sandwich with onion, super fresh tomatoes, capers and salmon from Oregon Lox Co!!! Perfection!!! Served with fresh bagel chips! Will definitely be back!!!

I was contacted by the owner who inquired about my review. I was brutally honest and described my poor experiences. The owner was genuinely concerned and expressed my thanks for being honest. The owner expressed a desire to better the business and said that my concerns would be addressed.
I returned today and was very pleased. The staff was very friendly and was very attentive to requests. Also, the product quality is back to it’s outstanding status! I am VERY pleased for the turn around & plan on coming back again & again.

Basically bread in the shape of a bagel… I really wish I could get behind the bread bagel thing since the Daily Bagel is so convenient to where I live. But I’m not going to let my personal preference get in the way of the fact that they do make a really good (and reasonably priced) sandwich here. Also, a word to the wise, don’t be a jerk and order a complicated coffee drink when there’s a line and you only see one woman working the cash register/​coffee and one woman making the bagels. You’re holding up the line, go away.

Gave them another try and better than it has been in awhile. The help was focused and friendly. The food still takes awhile but it was good. They seemed to have done quite a bit of cleaning and that’s good. I am glad I didn’t just write the place off all tougher. I’ll be back and really hope the keep it up.

This is place is great for a quick coffee, breakfast or lunch. I’ve never been let down by the food or service. The staff is friendly and will help you out if you don’t know what to order (like choosing between all the different bagel options. There’s a lot.)
I am in love with the swiss bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. Mmm yumm. If I’m feeling hungrier, the cashew chicken salad bagel sandwich is where it’s at. The bagel sandwiches come with yummy bagel chips too, so it’s a lot of food. If you’re going for lunch though, try to get their a little earlier so they don’t sell out of the bagel you want to try.
I’ve had their house coffee and americano (which is only like $ 1.50), not sure what brand of coffee they use, but it’s good. I heard they have other drinks like smoothies as well. Might have to try one next time I’m in.

I go here for the Vanilla Bee Latte. So delicious! The Chai Lattes are a good price at $ 3.00; less expensive than Starbucks. I’m not a big coffee drinker. I do fancier drinks, so I can’t speak for the Daily Bagel’s coffee, but I do love that they have a punch card!
I’ve also tried one of the bagel sandwiches, which was tasty and came with bagel chips. The cranberry orange bagel is next on my list of things to try! Go early on in the day because it is only open until 4 pm and sometimes the bagels sell out! The owner is super friendly and sweet.

Okay, the service isn’t sunshine and rainbows but they were nice and the bagel was delicious. I think that’s about what I would want from a bagel shop.

Your service sucks.
If you’re working at a bagel shop, you should try to be a little bit more chipper and friendly in the morning because that’s when the majority of your customers come in… right? Not so much here. Either they’re just really unfriendly and don’t give a care in the world, or maybe they’re nursing and/​or curing a hangover and don’t feel like being at work? Meh. In either case, it’s not cool. Not cool.
Oh, the bagels are average at best. You can probably get better toasted bagels, sans the attitude at your local grocery store. Oh, the orange juice is good. That is all.
