Gilt + Gossamer

The first (and ultimately last) time I stepped foot into Gilt & Gossamer I was really excited to look around. They had some very cute clothes and accessories that suit my fancy. There was only one visible employee in the store and she was generally unfriendly and did not greet me as I walked in. I only looked around for a little while because rather than ask if I. needed help the employee stalked me like prey through the store. She would act like she wasn’t but as soon as I would turn my back to her she would practically sprint around so she could see my hands or something. I can assure you the tiny purse I carry would not fit the canvas paintings and bell bottoms I was browsing. Even though I prefer to shop locally, I soon found that while the things they had were cute, they were mostly absurdly marked up items you could find anywhere or make for much less. I was so fed up with being monitored I eventually just dropped what I was looking at and left. Maybe it was a bad day but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
