David A Lester, DDS PC

After suffering the frustration of several visits with another local dentist, who was always pushing for more preventive work and displayed a childish, huffy attitude when I didn’t go along, I went to Dr. Lester based on reviews. I’ve seen him twice and I couldn’t be happier. He did not automatically look at my xrays and say I should have all kinds of work done. He said everything is fine. And it is. He was professional, personable and I have total confidence in him. His staff, from the front desk to the hygientist, are wonderul. Love this office and this dentist!

The staff is wonderfully personable and Karen is thorough and so sweet.
Great dentist.

October 2010: It was recommended by Hayden Dental practice that I would need the following:
1. a crown
2. two fillings
3. To undergo numbing of the gums so my teeth could be cleaned below the gum line
November 2011: I went to a Dr Lester on Crescent. Dr Lester prescribed the following:
1. Your teeth look good, keep doing what you’re doing. We’d like to see you in 6 months.
I did not receive dental work in the interim between my visit in October with Hayden Dental and my recent visit with Dr Lester.
I’ve spoken with 2 family members and they both share sentiments of high esteem for Dr Lester. When you need dentistry performed, this is the practice I would recommend.

Came back today for my 6 month cleaning. I still have to say that Dr. Lester and his staff are by far the best I’ve encountered. Another visit that was flawless, painless, and enjoyable.
Karen is the Dental Hygienist I had last time and this time as well. She is very personable and great to talk to while in the chair. Since I will be moving to Portland in a few weeks, they asked if I would like to sign paper work to have records transferred. I pointed out that I would like to make the drive back down to Eugene when necessary. I’m sure there are other dentists in PDX that may be able to get the job done, but when it comes to my teeth, if I have a dentist I trust, I will stick with that Dr. till he/​she is no longer practicing.
With that in mind, I will continue to visit Dr. Lester’s office.

I HATE THE DENTIST!!! I used to drive two and a half hours to my old dentist back home until I found Dr. Lester– His front office staff is the sweetest bunch of ladies you have ever met. They are super soft spoken and their politeness is over flowing. The dental assistant is nice and to the point handling you with care. Dr. Lester is easy going, gentle, to the point, and you can tell he is there to help you not screw you out of money! Watching him interact with other patients you can tell he is just a good person. He truly cares about how you feel, and listens to what you think or where you might want to go with your «issue» haha I say «issue» because I went in with a tooth ache and after doing some x-​rays he said the tooth was cracked and because of it having a post and a crown on the tooth it would eventually have to be pulled. I was completely sad and upset. So he said ok if you want we can try antibiotics and see if it helps and prolongs the tooth being extracted. I can tell you the antibiotics worked like a charm and I still have the tooth (for now). I went in again this week for a «regular» check up and it was very quick, informative and gentle as can be. I am super happy my coworker referred me and I will be making my husband and two children an appointment soon!
