Seriously miss this from my college days. Delicious, cheap, convenient, and a nice portion as well.

Best food cart in Eugene! This place never disappoints and the ladies are always so nice. They use a bunch of different sauces and it blends together so well. Definitely recommend getting the noodles with extra spicy sauce!

After graduating from UO, I honestly do miss this place a lot. A really good portion of food for the price. The food is made in front of you and is usually pretty quick. The workers are very kind and are always willing to strike up a conversation. I usually get the frisco noodles(noodles, chicken, salad) and they are so yummy with a good variety of food items. However, since it is a food cart, you have to find seating around, but since it is a college campus, it’s pretty easy to do so. Pros: –Good food –Good pricing –Good portion –Good service Cons: –Have to find own seating –Cash only

arguably, the best food that you can have on campus the choice is between the sandwich, the salad, the rice and the noodles, all with their wonderful roasted slices of chicken, always moist, always tasty I will miss this place when I leave Eugene!

I used to live near U of O in 1985 and I was addicted to your chicken sandwiches. I live in San Diego now and I wish you were down here.

Have been living in Corvallis for 4 years. Their BBQ chicken noodle has always been my must eat in Corvallis Fall Festival! I love it so much! Will definitely go down to Eugene for the burgers and sandwiches!

Arguably the best chicken sandwich anywhere. Big, complex, sloppy, Asian goodness. This cart has been around Eugene since the late 70’s and is still the BEST. A little sturdier bun wouldn’t hurt the overall experience, but taste-wise, this is a 10.

My absolute favorite food cart in the UO campus area! Something about that sauce they put on all their menu items… yum! Every time I have ordered from here it is always the same two women, and the one who takes the orders is so sweet and remembered my usual order(the noodles… must try!) just after one visit! No matter how busy, the food always comes out in a timely manner and I know that they are working hard so I never mind waiting during the busier lunch hours. PLUS, for the noodles, they give relatively generous portions considering it costs only $ 7. Whenever I’m in Eugene, I’m always excited to order food from Cart De Frisco!

The food here is DECENT. But it’s too sweet much like most Americanized Asian foods. Also they only take cash for now but they are apparently planning to take cards sometime in the future. Also, It might not matter to you but these also aren’t the original owners. Some say or used to be better.

SOGOOD!!! I have no idea what kind of sauces go on their chicken sandwich, but they are delectable. If a sandwich is not your thing, they also have chicken on a stick and chicken with rice or noodles. The one and only downside is trying to find parking along 13th near campus.

I have found the best chicken sandwich ever at Carte de Frisco. The combination of flavors, including sweet, tangy and spicy, are superb. They have perfected the art of sandwich making, without a doubt!

This review has been a long time coming. I grew up in Eugene and have since gone off to college, graduate school, and work in California. Yet on every trip back to Eugene one lunch is reserved for a sandwich from cart de frisco. Something to keep in mind, this is a messy and delicious chicken sandwich. The well cooked chicken is placed on soft buns and topped with a tangy and crunch coleslaw and many different delicious sauces! So many different amazing flavors that all work perfectly to make one of my favorite lunch spots in Eugene. If you’re making a trip near the UO campus, this cart is a necessity.

This is an amazing sandwich. I have been eating these for years and can only dream that someday LA would have something similar. This is my first stop in Eugene after my family. It is like nothing I have had before. Go now and try it. You do not need to like Asian food. Amazing. My mouth is watering.

I happened upon Cart de Frisco four years ago at a festival of sorts and decided to order their chicken sandwich. Four years later, after finding the cart once again I have returned twice within several weeks. The first time I ordered the sandwich I fondly remembered. The best part was hands down the chicken(that’s the point, I suppose) however the rest of the sandwich lacked. There was a little too much slaw, almost enough to overpower the chicken, as well as the bun completely falling apart during eating. However, that being said the chicken was more than enough to redeem the sandwich. The most recent time I returned, I decided upon the noodle version. To my dismay, the sauce was applied onto the chicken less generously and less effectively than sandwiches chicken. I also obliged to making it spicy, which was my decision(as not to blame them) as one who enjoys spicy it was just a little over the top. The noodles were served plain under the chicken with the assumed intention of mixing it all together, unfortunately difficult because of small surface area of the small container my order was placed in. On top of that, an under dressed salad(fantastic dressing, though) was beside it adding great value but minimizing a way of mixing flavors without completely eating the salad first before eating the chicken and noodles which would cool down before. All this bickering, cynicism, and back and forth aside, i have kearned my lesson: next time I know to not order my noodles spicy, because I can’t handle it. Perhaps a future attempt without chili paste shall be arranged. However with all this bickering and cynicism, and back and forth how does Frisco still have four stars standing? That sandwich. So the bun fell apart. So there’s some extra slaw(it’s really good slaw.) The chicken in the sandwich redeems the heck out of it. Yes, I do recommend Frisco to my friends, and I recommend it to you. So go, eat a sandwich, or even eat chicken and noodles-spicy. Any choice will be worth your while. Thus concludes my confusing, whole-hearted, review. P. S. The employees are wonderful, kind ladies who are passionate and welcoming. By pure observation it seems if you choose to become a regular they memorize your order or if you change it up a bit it they engage in friendly chatter. Definetly a good sign.

Have not had a Carte De Frisco sandwich since 1993 but I can still taste the chicken, slaw and sauce. A wonderful memory of Eugene and food. In those days they were on 8th ave downtown and were as always a messy treat! Hope the quality is still there — it was THEBEST!’

Hands down the BEST Thai food I’ve ever had. There are so many different ingredients that she uses and it makes a phenomenal dish. The woman that works the cart is also fantastic and always remembers my order

I finally got in there again after more than 15 years and was somewhat disappointed so I’m docking them 3 stars. New owners — I blame you for lowering the bar!!! The sandwich was mostly the same except for a few issues: ~ We bought 3 sandwiches and 2 of them had VERYLITTLE chicken on them. It was more of a slaw sandwich w/chicken. ~ The slaw was threaded instead of chopped. Big mistake! The super thin threads caused the slaw to absorb the sauces and become wilted and goopy. Also, the guy kept chatting w/us while he made the sandwiches. Fine, but he kept stopping his work to talk. Now I HATE it when my food gets cold. That’s a deal-killer. By the time he handed them over they were a lukewarm goopy mess with not enough chicken. I had brought 2 people along with me, boasting about how great it was going to be. They didn’t even finish their sandwiches. The flavors were still there and I still enjoyed the sandwich but it wasn’t the heaven that it used to be. In fact, it didn’t even look like the photo. In my previous review I was reminiscing about a meal I hadn’t tasted in years. I scoffed at other people’s bad reviews and I was wrong to do that. Mia culpa, they were speaking the truth and I was speaking out of my butt. To the new owners: Get back in the game, people! ~~~~~~~~~~ I decided to cut/paste another person’s review that has been filtered because I really believe the review was fair and accurate. The new owners need to know that they’re failing w/their current product and ruining the reputation of a Eugene classic. This guy could have been speaking for me: «I have been eating at Cart De Frisco since the early 80s. In fact, even though I live in SF, I always make a special trip to the Cart every time I visit Eugene. No more. The quality is not the same. I had read that the Cart was under new ownership, and that didn’t bother me. But when I visited the Cart this Christmas they had changed the recipe and cooking techniques. Instead of cutting the chicken into pieces mounted on skewers, they now have switched to cooking whole boneless chicken breasts. Needless to say, this completely changes the flavor and texture of the meat because the sauces cover a much smaller area of each piece and they don’t get the same exposure to the grill. The flavor is greatly diminished. When I asked: „Why the change?“ I was told they just couldn’t afford the staffing that cutting and skewering the chicken took. They should have raised their prices(haven’t they?) and maintained the quality, because I won’t pay for their current product. Cart de Frisco was a Eugene favorite for me for almost 30 years. No longer. R.I.P. P. S. Change the recipe back, and I’ll give you a fair shot to win me back!»
