My favorite beanery in Eugene. I love the ambience… in an old brick building with old wood high beams and wood benches. The baristas are friendly and espresso is ! The first time I came here, 9 years ago, I got the Mexican mocha, and I can’t seem to get anything else. I spoke it with 2 shots of espresso, but the chocolate isn’t just powder but chocolate. This is definitely a local spot where people come together for get togethers or just a quite place to work.

Sadly, the mocha I had was not very good. It was weak and I wondered if they may have forgotten to put in the espresso.

I went there weekly for several years. I used to love the coffee and seeing the same faces weekly. It was a hub. I don’t know what happened. The staff isn’t friendly. I asked if it was closing time once, as everything was being put away, including my coffee cup. The counter staff said they weren’t closing for a few hours. Lots of annoying little things, like not bringing your food and/or coffee or forgetting half of it. Staff standing around looking lost and the food case pretty empty. What’s up with that?

4 stars because the ambiance of this coffee shop make it ideal for visiting. Baristas are friendly. I’ve had a variety of teas, coffee drinks, and even some of their savory offerings like the Santa Fe burrito. All are consistent in quality. I’ve been here during the day and also in the evenings and enjoyed both, but evenings are especially convenient for sipping on some coffee and enjoying good conversation.

Just got my two freezes on $ 2 freeze Friday. The line was backed up and Some of the other customers were being rude about it but the workers were working as fast as they could to get the drinks out. Good things take time people! P. s. Green tea freeze is my new favorite!

I could say a million things about this place, but it’s hands down the best coffee shop in Eugene. Their tea is the best tea you can get anywhere. My personal favorites are the coconut vanilla and Earl Grey. There’s so many varieties and all of them are awesome. Baristas are usually very nice. I’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid and have many fond memories. I also LOVE their paninis and eclairs. And coffee cake. Try it out, I guarantee you’ll love it.

I used to love this place, but recently the Albany-based central headquarters seems to want to lose clients. They hiked the prices, cut the range of offerings, and now, after two hours, you have to pay for Internet($ 4 for 2 hours). Not to mention that they’ve summarily fired the last 2 manages, who seemed to be doing a good job IMHO. I leave 2 stars because the staff is awesome and I love the atmosphere, but now the $ 200-$ 300 a month I spend on coffee shops is going to be split between the Wandering Goat and the Barn Light. I’ve had it. UPDATE: HOORAY!!! They’ve changed the Internet policy and now provide 6 hours of free Internet. And every Friday through August they have a special on freezes — 16 oz for $ 2. However, they still haven’t fixed the music system and so now, if someone’s eating potato chips across the room, you’re going to notice.

Nice place, and quality coffee but it’s weak. Be sure to get a drip coffee and specify about twice their usual dose of beans. I’m beginning to think weak coffee is the norm in Oregon.

5 star coffee for sure. Beats Dutch bros or Starbucks any day! Although the guys who made my coffee completely screwed my order. Asked for a small got a medium. Asked for iced and got a hot one. The simple details are kinda important. That’s one thing that Dutch and Starbucks are better at. They never mess up my order! Oh well. Still good coffee.

Great coffee, and a warm atmosphere. Take a walk at the Amazon Park nearby! It’s a good way to escape the college students and reflect on this beautiful town. FIVESTARS

Amazing light dishes; sandwiches, panini’s, wraps, salads, an assortment of sweet treats, and of course, Allann Bros Coffee & tea. Love how the building was converted from an old train station. Love this place!

Many of the treats are delicious! Their flavorful house coffee keeps me coming back. Servers can range from from courteous to so-so, but everyone seems to know their coffee– and tea-making business well. The interior space is historic, earthy and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable. This location’s top issue is cleanliness. Both the tables and the deli cases should be cleaned more frequently. A second challenge is that some deli items are not very fresh. Despite that, this Beanery location is a handy – central to Eugene – spot for meeting friends who might arrive by bike, car or bus. There are always plenty of parking spots and you usually don’t have to wait long for a table.

I’d been coming here since I moved to Eugene 2 years ago. I loved the coffee, they always had an organic blend, excellent. The regular coffee’s were so so. Also there was a good choice of muffins. I really liked their bran w/raisins. Always fresh, or you could buy a day old one(still pretty fresh) for half price.(2.25 a muffin). They’ve now fired the manager who was extremely nice. We’d always talk and knew each others names She cared. After she left all the good workers left too. Now, no more organic blend… too expensive. ??? The muffins now come from an outside supplier and they suck as well as costing roughly 3 bucks. Can’t stand The Wandering Goat so I guess I’m back to Starbucks. As far as good baked goods New Day is excellent. Good muffins. Can’t believe in Eugene there are so many crappy coffee shops.

The location and the building give a cool vibe but parts of the coffee shop itself don’t fit with the vibe. Like the music; the music is top 40 from the past few years, I’m not a fan of top 40, but it also doesn’t really fit the environment. I would expect a different mix of music(jazz, classic rock, oldies, etc), not pop music. The employees are a gamble, sometimes I get charming and helpful, and sometimes I get grumpy and walking away as I’m ordering because the guy forgot to do something in the back. Their drinks are delicious! But their croissants have a weird, fake butter flavor on them, like the fake butter on popcorn at the movies. Some of their other foods look super yummy, but there always seems to be flies in the case.

I love this place. Great coffee, tons of seating, and super friendly baristas. They are in a great location, right next to Oak St Vintage, Down to Earth and Decadence Chocolates. The Mexican Mocha is a must have!

Second Allan Brothers coffee in one week, and both visits were disappointing. Dirty floors and bathroom in Ashland, and lukewarm coffee in Eugene. Not sure I’ll come back.

Awful. I would never come here if Eugene had more options that were open past 5 pm. The coffee is stale and weak every single time — I’ve been coming here for years. I don’t know how they’ve become successful with such horrible quality. I just ordered an iced coffee and they used some concentrated solution from a bottle — not in-house, it had a label — and then added water. Even worse are the employees. They are all teenage stoners who are incredibly disorganized and forgetful. Almost every time I come here, they screw up my order or totally forget about it. Or they’re out of cream or straws, I ask for more, and whoever I asked completely forgets about me. I’ve seen them take 15 minutes trying to take someone’s order for a simple salad. Even when they don’t forget the order, they’re just slow. If I weren’t so anti-Starbucks, I would go there, because at least they have good service. Let’s move on to the seating area: most of the tables are covered in food and coffee, and the cream area never gets cleaned. Even when the place is dead, no one does any cleaning. I’m only giving it two stars because at least they don’t play death metal so loud my ears hurt, like at Wandering Goat, which is the other coffee shop that’s open past 5 pm. I can actually get homework done at Allann Bros. The part that really bothers me is the disgusting coffee. For a business whose entire reason for existence is coffee, they could really use some improvement. They probably feel like they don’t need to improve the quality, since they already get plenty of customers, mostly because there are no other options in Eugene.

The Beanery is pretty chill if you’re looking for a quiet casual place to study or catch up with friends. The café is tucked away behind some of the larger buildings on 5th but has a nice little parking lot for customers. Inside, there are a variety of booths, small tables, and some leather chairs. I liked the white washed food on the inside along with the high beam ceilings, there was nice natual light, and the background music was kept at a low volume. The employees were very sweet and did a nice job of preparing our drinks quickly. The coffee served here is from Allann Bros, a brand I had never had before. I opted for a non-fat latte. Personally, the coffee tasted slightly burnt to me but I needed a caffeine fix, so I made do. They do offer a variety of muffins and some pastries but they didn’t look exactly fresh… I was not a fan of the bathrooms. One of the stalls had a faulty lock and I got trapped inside for a good 10 minutes. When I finally managed to get out and was in the process of washing my hands, the bathroom door flew open, missing my face by a few inches, and a woman rushed in. I just made a quick exit… So, be mindful that the sink is incredibly close to the door. I was a little confused by the set-up of the café. It appeared to be sandwiched in between two caged storage units with a variety of furniture, light fixtures, and various decorations. I suppose if you happen to be in the presence of boring company, it makes for some nice causal browsing.

This place had friendly service, lots of seating and free wifi, which were all great for a Saturday morning homework session. Throughout my morning/afternoon here, I ordered a chai and a panini. The chai was unusually thick, which I was fine with and the panini was good, but just your typical coffee shop sandwich. Unlike many coffe shops, the Beanery had a good variety of food. The music was quiet and on the folkier side, but I’m sure that can change depending on the staff. One of the downsides, the window where we sat looked right at the street and the adult correctional facility.

A big coffee shop in an old warehouse that has enough room for you to hang out to talk, read or use your computer. The coffee(Allann Bros.) is very good. We had scones, a yogurt bran muffin and raspberry coffee cake that were a little dry but good. There was a shortage of raspberries though. Bulk Allenn Bros. coffee is available and(for those who make tea the traditional way and want to avoid the waste of using tea bags) many varieties of bulk tea art stocked. We tried and like the Bombay Breakfast tea. The tea is cheaper here than at most places that sell bulk teas and the are many types of tea to choose from.

Love this staple of Eugene. It’s a comfortable and busy institution. The food is earnest — quiches, scones, spanikopita and the like. Their coffee is strong and hot.

I hadn’t been there in quite a long time, until today. Not going to rush back any time soon. Understaffed and very slow — but the two baristas who were there were very friendly. Two stars for their good service, even though I waited 5 whole minutes for a 12 oz plain coffee. Coffee tasted really burnt… not so good. Avoid their pastries! Not sure who makes them, but stale and not good flavor whatsoever. I paid almost $ 10 for two 12 oz plain coffees and 2 stale pastries. Yikes! Also whoever is in charge of cleaning this place isn’t doing a very good job. Everything kind of feels sticky and dirty. I didn’t want to touch anything. Yes, good location if you think staring out the window at the jail across the street is a good location. Good building you mean maybe?
