I love this place. Some of the best gyros I’ve had anywhere, and certainly the best in Eugene. The hummus and baklava are also incredible, and the service is always friendly and fast. Highly recommend trying Albee’s if you haven’t yet!

Starving during our road trip and found this place through Unilocal and what a gem! We came in after lunch hour and there was only one person behind the counter working double time. We didn’t mind the wait as we got to people watch and listen to the music playing on their speakers. We ordered dolmas(my weakness), one order of falafel pita and one gyro, and side order of garlic fries. I wasn’t too impressed with the dolmas but everything else was delicious. They had an interesting selection of sodas and even kombucha! I was really impressed by the quality and price overall! Definetly a great place for a quick meal.

Was in the area and am always looking for a good mom and pop restaurant. I love supporting local entrepreneurs. And the food was amazing. Had the gyro and found it was flavorful with plenty of meat and just the right amount of veggies to balance it out. It could of used a bit more sauce but definitely did not degrade the experience at all. Would highly recommend them to any one. The icing on the cake was the staff was extremely welcoming and patient with those in my party who weren’t as familiar with some of the menu items. They took the time to explain what everything was and truly had a passion for helping everyone get something they would enjoy.

I’m not usually a negative person, and I subscribe to the«if you can’t say anything nice» rule, but I can’t let this one go. First, the service was great, the young college guy at the counter was super friendly, and talkative. That aside, the gyros were horrible; the meat was tough and cut way too thick, a lot of the pieces were burnt to a crisp, the pita was soggy. The place was freezing cold inside. I just can’t recommend this place at all. Based on the positive reviews, maybe I went in at the«wrong» time, but I can’t really see going back.

After seeing all the good reviews I went to the second location. Although it is a bit out of the way to get too, I was nearby so I drove over. I went in and thought they offered a chicken gyro, but only had a lamb beef combination. Since I can’t eat the moo cow because of personal reasons. I only had the choice of a falafal gyro. Those are not to my liking. After biting into them they taste like dough balls. Not that I tried them here, but majority of falafals have that texture. Of course I just didn’t wanna leave after making an effort to go there, so I settled for the garlic fries. While the fries were being make I had a great conversation with the owner. The fries were finally done and the looked gorgeous. The smell of garlic made me happy. I love the smell of garlic, if they made a garlic cologne, I would definitely wear it. I grabbed a handful of ketchup and went to town on the fries. They were crispy on the outside and moist inside. They toss the fries with the garlic, so every fry had either pieces of garlic or oil infused with it. I was going to give this place 4 stars because they didn’t offer chicken, but Albee explained his reasoning why he doesn’t and it made business sense, so it wasn’t his fault. So I based the review on just the fries and they are some of the best garlic fries I have had!

I just had the gyro and thought it was just what I needed to satisfy my hunger. I ordered the regular size but I probably could’ve been satisfied with the Jr. as there was a lot of meat in the regular size. Needs a squirt of siracha and you’re good to go. As other said, they could expand the menu.. .but then again.. .I’d probably just get the gyro anyway. I’d rather just have a place make a few good things instead of lots of things mediocre. Staff is really welcoming!

Was in the area and decided to try this place and I’m so glad I did! From the moment we walked in we were given great customer service. Both of the gentlemen working behind the counter were super nice. Since it was our first time there they offered us samples of their gyro meats with their house made Greek yogurt sauce. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. They offer the Greek gyros in two different sizes. I got the smaller one and the hubs got the larger one. I like how they ask you if you would like everything on it so you can customize your order. We also got the Greek fries with feta cheese. Hubs and I both agreed that these were the best gyros we have ever had! I loved the freshness of the gyro meat. I also loved that the pita bread they use isn’t too thick but just perfect. The fries were also amazing. They were crispy and covered in yummy feta cheese. Also included are two dipping sauces, the yogurt dip and hummus. Both were delicious as well. This is a very small little restaurant tucked away in a weird part of town. If you don’t look closely you will drive past it! If you like gyros and want great customer service this is the place to be!

We were driving up from Medford back to Portland and Unilocal steered us to this spot. It’s way off the beaten path unless you are in town, but the food was delicious. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful and we loved the selection of sodas! Not sure what’s up with the variety of Kombucha on draft, but to each their own.

I’ve been driving by this place for a while and had written it off because of location. But when all the 5 star reviews came up we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The gyros meat is delicious and flavorful — even our picky kids liked it. The offering of vintage sodas is fun. I’m glad they offer a gyros salad — just wish they had a few other offerings for the gluten-free crowd. :)

The gyros are killer! Awesome, New York style. Really good, however! Don’t stay to eat! The owner never shuts up! He will yell at you the whole time you’re there. He’s not mad, he’s deaf. He also likes to talk, so run! I’ve considered getting ear plugs to order.

Awesome food, awesome service, will definitely be returning and recommending this place as a go-to in Eugene! The menu is small but everything on it is great. My favourite is the gyro, I order the jr. Size…$ 2 cheaper, and perfect size for lunch. The only change I would make would be to ask for the pita bread to be warmed as well :-) The guys working on my most recent visit were super friendly, although the location is a bit random, the atmosphere within the shop is welcoming. Not much more to say except that this is the place to go in eugene for your gyros!

Fantastic Gyros! Super delicious meat, really fresh veggies and an awesome tzatziki sauce. Limited menu but why go there if you don’t want a Gyro. The falafel pita was also delicious. Fun selection of bottled root beers, sarsaparilla, etc. and kombucha on tap. They do have hotdogs for non-adventurous kids. But get them to try the gyro meat. It’s really excellent.

Without question, the best Gyro I’ve ever eaten. The restaurant sits in an unassuming location next to a convince store and at first glance, I was a bit skeptical. Once inside I found a very nice and clean dining area with very friendly staff behind the counter. The menu is not extensive and includes all the staples along with a wide variety of eclectic sodas in a cold case off to the side. They even have Kombucha on tap, if you’re into that. My wife and I both got Gyros and a side for a very reasonable $ 18.00. The Gyro Pita I ordered was insanely delicious. Why aren’t you eating there right now? Do it. Do it now.

Only bad thing is it isn’t in Portland! Had a trip to Eugene for work, and based on Unilocal reviews went here for some great Mediterranean food. I know I found the best here without hesitation. The owner, a very engaging guy from NY from an Albanian family walked us through the menu and was very caring and friendly. Food was just great for a quick lunch. I’m a huge falafel guy, but in lieu of the sandwich, I went for a plate of all the veggie options. Not on the menu, but the owner happily made one up for me. All the standard items were, there. Hummos, dolmas grape leaves, tzatziki, and a nice Greek style salad. All very well presented and made with love. Tzatzikii sauce really stood out. The dolmas are canned, but not oily at all, and actually very good. It’s very labor intensive to make these in house, so I don’t mind. Heck, for an $ 8 plate, you get a very good value even without them. Falafel really a winner here. So many places cut corners and use a cheap icky mix, but this place nailed it and my lovely«boules de falafel» were among the best I’ve had, and certainly better than some nicer sit down restaurants. There’s a lot of competition for gyros and falafel in Eugene, mostly food carts. So you have to be good, and this place hits on all sides. My boss had the gyro and said it was phenomenal. We also split an order of «Empire Fries», a nice plate of seasoned fries and a welcome specialty of the house with dipping sauces. They have two locations. We stopped in at the first one on 11th, but opted for this one on 18th. They’ve just opened a few months ago, and have a fuller menu, with proper indoor seating. The place is very clean, including the bathrooms. Only things to improve is perhaps add a few more menu items. Some healthy salad options like a fatoush and tabouli would be great. Apart from that this place fires on all cylinders and is quick, super friendly, and you can tell that the love of good food takes precedent here. For my money, this is an incredible value, and will be my go-to lunch spot any time I’m in Eugene. I was a very happy man here!!!
