Jess, the owner, seems to be everything the previous reviews here say he is: Courteous, highly skilled, informational, and quick on the task and turn-​around time. His rates are reasonable, which just about wraps it up — a 5 for 5. I’ll be utilizing him in the future for any IT technical services; I recommend him without reservation (but, you might want to make an appointment…)

Man. Awesome dude, knows his stuff, very affordable! He was super friendly and didn’t charge me extra when my problem ended up bigger than we thought and ended up putting in extra hours to fix my compy.

OMGoodness! What a LIFE SAVER Jess is! I had taken my laptop back to where I purchased it to see if the Geek Squad could affordably clean and/​or replace my keyboard, which was getting stickier by the minute after having a sugar-​based liquid spilled on it earlier. (Don’t ask!) After shipping it to a repair site out of town (at a cost to me), the laptop was returned with the reply that to repairing my laptop would cost so much, it would be cheaper to just buy another laptop. I was crushed. In lieu of buying another laptop (everything else on my laptop worked fine), I bought a wireless keyboard to use if and when the keyboard became totally unusable. Then my daughter told me how «Jess at Affordable Computers» had fixed the overheating issue on her laptop at a price she could afford. (And that’s not much!) She told me he could fix my problem for $ 40. («Gasp! Excuse me?!») So I Googled him, emailed him, related my tale of woe and he confirmed, «No more than $ 40.» So I took my laptop there, he checked it out, ordered a replacement keyboard, and a week later (today), installed it – ALL FOR ONLY $ 40!

If people ever tell you never to take your computer in to get worked on because it would be cheaper to get a new computer, DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! Yes, a majority of computer repair places do overcharge, but I was convinced that someone out there was reasonable. And that’s when I found Affordable Computers in my search.
I have a decent laptop that I’ve owned for three years and despite the fact that reviews said the fans in my particular model weren’t the greatest, I didn’t experience any major issues. When I started playing games with decent graphics on it, I noticed overheating problems right away. After about two years of this and the problem getting worse and worse (and employing an armada of fans on it just to keep it cool) I was fed up and decided I wasn’t gonna use my laptop til the issue was resolved.
A day or two later I paid a visit to Affordable Computers. Upon walking in, I instantly felt that I had made the right choice. Jess is super friendly and very knowledgeable about anything computer related and has the experience to back it up. I told him my tale of my laptop woes and he told me what was wrong with it, how a laptop should properly cool and why it was having problems with that. He showed me before and after photos of laptop vents so full of dust he compared it to the lint trap in a dryer and that’s why it was overheating so badly. Nasty! The cleaning fee? $ 45!!!
I handed my laptop over to him with complete faith in him. Something else he told me was that my fan might need to be replaced if it was broken (but they can be replaced for $ 15 so no biggie). Now he could’ve went ahead and replaced it if he wanted the extra cash, but he didn’t! It was fine the way it was AND he told me how to upkeep it so I would no longer have to come to him for emergency cleaning. Even more reason to be impressed with his service. My husband and I have found our computer guy!
I have since told my mother about him who took in her laptop, was very impressed and has also left a review here.

Not only is Jessie honest, everyone is 100% correct when they say he has the best prices anywhere. I brought my recording studio’s new (ish) Dell in, thinking I had lost all of my music when it stopped working. I went to Jess through a recommendation and I will not go anywhere else ever again. He not only fixed my computer, but we decided to do an upgrade that made my computer lighting fast. The turn around time was phenomenal. Thank you again for the superior service and outstanding job saving my computer.

My teenage son bought a computer off craigslist and we had Jess check it out when it started overheating. I found Jess to be honest, trustworthy, and very reasonably priced. He fixed the problem on my son’s computer and helped us understand what happened and how to prevent it from happening again. I brought my own laptop to him some time after that and received the same straightforward help. Jess’s knowledge and service are worth every cent!

Trust worthy, reliable computer repairmen are hard to find. It’s sort of like coming across an honest auto shop– rare, but when you find one you thank your lucky stars. Jess is a small business owner and mainly does repair, but also sells cheap parts. You can basically find whatever it is you’re looking for here. I’ve had him replace my mac battery, and have bought AC adapters from him from literally a fraction of the price I’d have paid from the manufacturer. He’s timely, affordable, and even offers warranties on a lot of stuff. I recommend him to anyone in need of computer work and parts. Check him out for sure!

Awesome guy! Being an independent college student, laptop screens don’t come cheap. Jessie charged me a third of the price of other places to replace my cracked one! There was a back order of my particular screen as well, and he even knocked the price down more due to «my inconvenience». I’d recommend to anyone!
