The ribs were pretty good. When I asked if I could substitute jalapeño poppers for one of the sides the server said yes, for $ 1 more. When I asked if I could sub BOTH sides for $ 2, she grudgingly said yes, which was a bit off-putting. However, when the meal came there were ALOT of poppers so I was happy.

Love the food here. Ribs are amazing and so is the pulled pork. My suggestion is have them add diced onions to it(just my favorite way to eat it.). The baked beans are homemade and consistent every time I go there. If you aren’t in the mood for BBQ try the hand breaded tenderloin sandwich it is quite large and can be two meals for some people. Live music in Eudora! Yes sir! Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Most musicians play folk, oldies, classic rock etc. nothing to heavy. If you want to try a family restaurant instead of the big BBQ chains. Check this place out.

Amazing BBQ! Copperhead beer and great sides. Doesn’t get any better! Service is good and portions are generous. Good for lunch or dinner. This is a real gem in little old Eudora.

I would not go back as it was one disappointment after another. The pulled pork was like some sort of frozen meat soaked in BBQ sauce that could have just been heated in a package on a not so soft bun. My pulled pork that I make is 10x better than theirs.(thanks ). Fries — when my fiancé asked about what one kind of fries on the menu, she told him you know the frozen crinkle fries. FROZEN? If I want frozen crinkle fries, I’ll go eat at home. The beans… they tasted like Bush’s baked beans out of a can. I like Bush’s baked beans, but I can open those at home myself! And actually, I make my beans(again, thanks ) and don’t usually just serve canned without working them into a recipe. $ 30 for two lunch’s that were this bad… we will not be going back.

Words cannot explain how much I wanted to like this place. In Chicago or NY or LA it would do well and be above average. However, I must compare it to KC, and compared to KC, it lacks. My combo sandwich had turkey, brisket and(I think) ham. It came out quickly, but was not terribly warm. Not cold, but not as warm as usual or as warm as it should have been. This was at 12pm on a weekday — prime lunchtime and just one hour after opening. Aside from the brisket, it tasted lunch meat-esque. The brisket was decent. The roll was a standard grocery store roll. Sauce is ok — a bit too sweet for my liking, and served cold(not room temp), bringing the already lukewarm meat even further down in temperature. Also had a side of beans which… well, honestly tasted like Bush’s Baked Beans. Same texture and consistency too. Service is great, prices are fine. However, the BBQ itself is just… ho hum all the way.

Combo dinner comes with ham, brisket, turkey, two ribs, bread, baked beans, a pickle and fries. Sauce was a little sweet for my taste. So in turn, the beans were too sweet. Ribs were pretty good. Ham and turkey were like thinly sliced deli meat. Nothing special and serving size was small. Brisket was ok. Combo can come with house fries or krinkle fries. Wedges and sweet potato fries were an extra charge. So, I’m cheap and got the cheap fries… My own fault there. Sandwiches only come with chips though. Not house made chips… a bag of Lay’s. Ok bbq if you are in the area.

Word on the street in my neighborhood was that a new discovery had been made for a place that served tenderloins to beat all others. Of course I was intrigued… being a passionate tenderloin consumer, I am always on the prowl for a sandwich to fill the seat of «Best Tenderloin ever». Surprisingly it was at a BBQ establishment. Just south of K10 at the western most Eudora exit, with its back to the highway is a little place, charming in its décor. Live music on the weekends from what I hear. plan your visit accordingly. whether you want to sample the food and get out or get a little rowdy. Packed up my entourage and trekked out there to give this a shot. Three things were ordered. the tenderloin(of course), Pulled pork sandwich, and a sampler platter with a collection of offerings. The tenderloin was smaller than I expected, having been served those gigantic elephant ears at some of the local bars. However you could tell that it was a thicker slice of pork that was breaded there and was fresh. The breading was a touch soggy, and the lettuce seemed to dominate the taste buds, even though I had mustarded it liberally. Lays Chips and pickle spear accompany. Onion, lettuce and a small tomato slice was the only garnish. Have to admit I would have preferred fries or sweet potato fries, which they offer but at an additional cost. The pulled pork sandwich got a higher than average rating but the sauce that it was used was a little too sweet for me. The spicy version that was on the table had a more smokey tangy taste but mixing the two was not a good mating. For the combo platter, see Marie F’s ratings. she did sample out the ribs, which everyone rated as the best thing on the table. My anticipation for the«ultimate tenderloin» was on high alert, but unfortunately fell a little short of other establishments offerings. Rating only a high average, in my book. Would return for a rack of ribs, even though I am really not that big of a rib fan, these were very meaty and tasty.

It can be hit and miss, which is disappointing because when it is good, it is really good.
