To me this is the THE Christmas store in Estes. Right at the end of Elkhorn, just as you are going towards/into the park there sits a little white and green house. Inside, you are greeted with friendly Christmas jingles and tons of trees filled with unique and fun decorations. Room after room are just packed with tons of decorations and not just Christmas; some Thanksgiving and Halloween stuff can be found inside too! They also have an extensive collection of Department 56 villages, which I love looking at! This is BEST Christmas shop in Estes. Don’t miss it!

This is the Christmas store my wife always talks about so we had to come up here when we came up to Estes. It literally is just a house, and it’s packed to the gills with different Xmas decorations. There was quite a bit of cute stuff here!

My fondest memories of childhood Christmases involve decorating the tree. Every year, we would set up our faux evergreen and lug the multiple boxes of ornaments up from the basement. These were not just any boxes — about the size of four microwaves put together, these boxes held MORE smaller boxes, stuffed full of decorations wrapped in tissue paper. Every year, it was a fight to see how many ornaments we could fit on the tree without making the branches sag. Some decorations were put up every year. Some never got put up. Occasionally, we lost some, like the thimble-sized lead rocking horse that we pulled out of the Christmas tree box 5 years after losing it. But many of these memories involve ornaments, so it’s no surprise that I LOVE Christmas tree decorations. The Spruce House has room upon room of ornaments and stockings and nativity scenes. If you are like me and you love to get an ornament each year to commemorate something special you did in the last 365 days, this is the place to go. They have animals and santas and cars and cowboys and kayaks and sports-themed ornaments. They also have my favorite: the S’mores(go to if you don’t know what I’m talking about). Anyways, this place rocks. One of my favorite ornaments I’ve ever gotten, a cute little yellow hiking pack with trekking poles, came from here. If you love christmas, be sure to visit. You won’t be disappointed!
