Food is good but the restaurant needs a good scrub. it’s greasy and dirty everywhere you touch. Service is bad. Garlic nann bread we ordered never came.

Yum! Went with a group of 10 friends and ordered 5 – 7 entrees and split so everyone was able to try everything. If you like North Indian/Napali food this is the place to go. I’d recommend placing a reservation, this place gets packed pretty quick. Their chai is the real deal. It’s great to sip on while waiting for your naan and dumplings.

Was hungry and stopped in for a quick bite. Was able to fill up a to go container for $ 6 and loaded it from their buffet. Chicken Tikka was on point!

My family has owned a vacation home in Estes for 17 years and I have to say it is refreshing to have a new place to go! The food is great! We have now been 4 different times: sitting outside in the summer mostly and more recently we got take out. The chicken tikka masala is always a favorite, garlic naan, and fabulous chai! I appreciate the pride that is taken in the food… even the meticulous packing job on our to go order was impressive. It appears to be family run and has always been worth the wait. You’re in Estes, life is a slower pace, enjoy it!

Don’t get discouraged by the size of this place. It is small. You may have to wait a few minutes to eat. But it is so delicious. We had the chicken curry and the chicken tandoori. We started with samosas. They were amazing and full of flavour. The curry was divine. Tandoori was soo tender. This food is to die for and the service is extremely nice!

Dined here on our first night in Estes. It’s my boyfriend’s family tradition to eat there. They had many choices and all were good. They don’t let you drink outside(which I hear is a state law) but we enjoyed the crowded table seated of 10 I guess you could say. My only complaint. They didn’t seem how to know how to mix simple drinks either.

I like to try Indian food wherever I travel to and I was very excited to try Nepali food for the first time but this place is a huge disappointment. Seeing that my husband is Indian, the server even seemed uncomfortable in serving the food because it was that bad. The place didn’t seem that clean when you walk inside — we ate outdoors and gave it benefit of doubt but we were right…

Food is awesome and the people working there(I assume an owner) were very friendly and talkative. I had the samosas and they rivaled many others I’ve had before. The chicken vindaloo was very good and the garlic naan was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. My only complaint sadly was the restrooms. If I had gone before dinner I would not have stayed to eat there. Like I said the food was fabulous but with a bathroom that disgusting it makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. How can you have a sanitary kitchen with the restrooms like that? But I will end by saying again that the food was delicious.

I gotta start by saying what a pleasant surprise it was to find decaf chai tea on the menu. I don’t normally drink caffeine with my dinners, so this time I was able to enjoy a hot decaf chai tea with milk & spice. If the weather is agreeable, the place has a large amount of patio seating off the downtown strip that is quiet and along a small stream. Quite nice. However. it was a little hot, so we ate inside in their small interior dining room. I like momos(Nepalese dumplings), and Nepal Café offered a variation(Kothe Momo) on it that was fried. This made them even better in my opinion. Sometimes the steamed ones can be a little mushy, but the crispy, hot dough added to the flavor for me. The chicken/veggie filling was well seasoned, too. The other dishes were typical, but very well prepared. The lamb was spicy, and the curries were savory. A good overall dinner.

I have to give a minimum one star to be able to write a review. Like another reviewer said, worst food and worst service ever. The food was so bad that we left it untouched and when I told the staff, there was absolutely no response. Left with a bad taste in the mouth, literally!

There are lot of Nepali restaurants and settlers in the Colorado area, it makes sense as the terrain and climate are similar to Nepal(located in the Himalayas) This is a gem in Estes park. Family run and almost always packed, especially in the evenings. We came here thrice during our stay. Most other places in Estes park weren’t great for vegetarians. Looking at elks and deer during the day and then having elk-steak and venison at night — not my idea of conservation or national park tourism! Nepali food is a unique blend of Indian and Chinese cuisines. They really have best of both worlds. They are predominantly Indian though. Nepals café’s signature item is thier Momos. Basically Nepali name for Chinese dumplings. A laborious concoction, but super tasty and can be healthy too if eaten steamed. Loved their veggie Momos and vegetable noodles(spicy Indian style). People seemed to love the chicken Momos and chicken tikka too. I am sure their lamb dishes would be great. Also tried couple of veg curries and naan, pretty good for a café in a tourist town at 9000 ft. Prices are reasonable. Hygiene and ambiance are average.

Nice find near the riverwalk in Estes Park. Lunch buffet was 10.95 $ and i enjoyed the tikka masala, vegetarian nepali curry and okra. It was an unique option surrounded by chains like mc donalds and subway. The employees were accommodating and friendly.

After visiting the Rockies, we stopped here for a relaxing dinner. The restaurant entrance is at the back of a building. This place was packed even at 5:45 pm. Overall, decent food and good service. Their menu is a mix of Indian, Nepali and Tibetan cuisines. They served Papadums for free with Tamarind and Coriander chutney. For entrees, we got Paalak Paneer and Chicken Vindaloo. Generally, food was good, but Chicken was a bit fatty. Onion Naan was great, but has chillies inside. So not a great option for kids.

Wow! This place was absolutely amazing. First, the authenticity of their dishes is refreshing. This family-owned spot in Estes offers up a slice of Nepal to folks passing through town. We went in with a group of 5 and thankfully was able to be sat right away in the small dining space. Our table was hungry so we went all out here. I have to recommend the hibiscus and mango lemonade — worth every penny. It’s also worth ordering samosas here. We tried a couple different kinds — traditional and veggie toppings which were a great starter to the meal. Our table also got plenty of naan to go around — cheese naan… yea that’s a thing! For my meal I ordered the veggie Punjabi. Oh my goodness gracious was it delicious! The rich flavors of the dish were something to write home about. Everyone at our table was raving about the meal as we left. We will be back to try the lunch buffet — guaranteed!

I found the Nepal’s Café while in town volunteering for a film festival. It was tucked back a bit from the hustle and bustle of the main drag however that made it feel that much more special, like I had found a secret gem. There is a good deal of seating in this small restaurant and it is usually quite full(though I have never had to wait to seat). If going around lunchtime I recommend going a little on the early or late side to beat or wait out the crowd. The buffet is super satisfying. So many veggie and a few meat options. I can’t help myself but to go up several times to ensure I’ve tried everything at least once, and my favorites at least 2 or 3 times(depends if I’ve hiked/fished beforehand). I also want to mention that I am a big fan of the rice pudding. It’s part of the buffet and no matter how full I am I always have to have some. The chai tea is not included in the buffet but certainly worth it. It can be enjoyed hot at your table, or in my case ordered to go on ice. Yes, I like my beverages on ice year round, I get a lot of slack for that from friends. The staff is friendly and very efficient and he buffet is always full and tidy. I’m excited for my next trip to Estes Park so that I can be sure to stop on in.

We were touristing around Estes Park – whilst being simultaneously pleased by the mountain views and disappointed by all the tourist crap shopping stores and restaurants – and it started to snow. The first snow of the year. None of the main drag places looked very interesting, affordable, or well liked… and then Unilocal guided us to this gem. In my opinion, nothing goes better with snow and cold than this type of food. It is a little hard to find, as it is located directly behind the storefronts on the main drag. It is also a little hard to get a table, as it is a very popular teeny tiny place. They offer a lunch buffet, which was smaller than I would’ve liked, but very good. The owners are very kind and work hard to make sure people are taken care of as best they can(considering the space, size, crowd, and small staff). The food was good, not the best I’ve had, but good and a nice variety for this town. The owner has pictures up all over the place of his homeland, and he shared with us how he goes home as often as possible and climbs Mt. Everest for as far as you are allowed without a permit(even in his later age). An interesting, spry, and kind man. One point of feedback, this place seems super busy which I’m sure makes this hard, but it felt lacking in facility cleanliness. Food, buffet, and everything seemed good, but floors, doors, etc. could use some good scrubbing.
