Awesome jogging loop. Wish it was a bit longer, but that is all. You will enjoy some amazing views while getting in your cardio. Public restroom was available for use even at 6:00 in the morning. Nearly 4 miles still kicked my a** at that elevation. Or maybe it was the lack of exercise.

Very much enjoyed using Lake Estes Trail for exercise. It’s a nearly 4 mile loop with mile markers, very well maintained trail, up close and intimate interaction with wildlife, piers for fishing, water fountain(too spread out so naturally bring your own as usual and one public restroom. The interesting and beautiful thing I found about this trail is that the sky and clouds are constantly changing and you can see a reflection of such in the lake. It never remains the same very long and it’s as if Mother Nature is painting a never ending and never the same portrait. I believe it is maintained by the Estes Valley Parks and Recreation District and is indeed one of the most beautiful walking and running paths in the US. Dogs are allowed on leash, bikes are allowed but no horses, probably to preserve the integrity of the perfectly maintained paved path.
