Played the front 9 first thing in the morning. Beautiful course, long drives, and fast greens.

This place is about as good as it gets for muni golf. Walked on here as a single and had a great time. The course is at 7600 feet; I walked it and not too bad.
The course has varied holes and though only sloped at 121, much tougher. I played the back tees, which are only at about 6200 yards. The pro shop, bar, range, etc, employ friendly people who make you feel at home.
You could score really well here if you put away the driver at certain times, mostly on the back. The front side is what you see is what you get golf. The back side is shorter but hillier and much more nuanced. If hole under 360, think accuracy at all costs.
Greens, tee boxes and sand all in great shape. It’s a fun track.

Your golf ball will fly 20% further. You will be surrounded by snow capped mountains. Bull elk will be bugling and rattling antlers all around you… and you get to play a great golf course. What a treat. Magical place.
