One of the best experiences! They were so friendly and accommodating. We’re a family of four with an adventurous toddler and a 3 month old. Without even asking, they provided us with a baby swing and toys for our toddler. They also let us start bowling an hour earlier. We thought they opened at two today but they didn’t open till three. I cannot repeat how of an amazing experience it was and how sweet both the bartender and the girl at the front desk were. Thank you two for accommodating us so my husband and I could enjoy ourselves while out with our children.

You have have have to love a good small town bowling alley. Went in on a Sunday night and the lace was deserted. We had the run of it. Bowled three or four games and had a blast. Even won two free games by getting a strike when the head pin was one of the lucky colored pins. We made sure to record our attempts with our phones just in case they didn’t believe us. ;) Bartender was very friendly — asking us where we’re from, telling us a bit about himself. He was kind and asked us regularly if we needed any additional drinks. We also shot some pool — $ 1 games. It is a bit pricey, especially being a tourist town. But the pool is a great deal. And the alley attendant had to go behind the scenes a few times because our balls kept getting stuck at the end of the lane. Eventually he switched us and the problem was resolved, but it took our balls getting stuck about half a dozen times for him to make the switch. Haven’t tried the food — just the beer! And it’s ice cold.

I got a chance to come to Chipper’s this past weekend for the 26th annual Wheel Bar Invitational and I was very happy with the lanes, the service and the crowd. As expected it was a pretty loose, well boozed up and fun loving crowd that made the experience that much better. The alley has 8 lanes making one think that it would be cramped, but by no means is it like that at all. They have a large bar at the back and a little arcade for the kiddos. The lanes were a little on the dry side, but this is only an issue for the avid bowler. The waitress made their way around regularly and the times had were very fun. The one complaint I did have is I expect a dimmer light when I walk into a small bowling alley, this had a real feeling of a roller rink to me for some reason and I really couldn’t shake it. Regardless the seating areas were great they allowed the teams to sit as well as have some fans in the back. Overall I had no real issue and if I’m in the area I will be back.
