Horrible pizza! The name should have given it away! We would have been better off with a nasty Totinos frozen pizza microwaved. Sauce was bland out of a can. The only reason we ordered was because we were sick and needed delivery. Estes lacks food delivery options.

An okay value. Good pizza. Excellent service, although when I called I was placed on hold for over three minutes which is always annoying. I went to pick up the pizza and not being from the area did have a slight challenge finding it as it’s tucked away in the same building as a hotel that had already closed for the season. The fellow who brought out our pizza was very friendly and chatty… great guy. Got the pizza back to our house and the family liked it… no leftovers. I would buy from Cheezy Lee’s again.

I thought people who mentioned the creepy-factor were being wusses. How scary can a pizza joint be? Holy Crap! This place looks like a summer camp/hotel abandoned after a group of half-naked teenagers were murdered in a bloody fashion by a chainsaw-wielding maniac wearing someone’s skin. I am not joking, nor am I exaggerating. It didn’t help that we walked from our hotel just down the street, right after twilight. I kept going based on the promise of pizza and beer. The pizza was fine, but nothing special. Overpriced — $ 32 for a 14″ everything, three fountain drinks, and breadsticks. The breadstick marinara is served cold. The place lost their liquor license. No beer. Which was why we braved the creepy place to begin with. And then we had to walk out. After it was completely dark. While my wife mentioned every quiet sound she heard.

This place just gets it: great pizza and great service. The pie is thin and crispy but also light and fluffy. The ingredients were fresh, and it wasn’t too greasy. Highly recommended!

This place is attached to the hotel and set back from the main road, so initially trying to find it in the dark was challenging as there wasn’t much lighting. I went there with my 9 and 10 year old children. The first thing I noticed was a strange smell inside. I couldn’t tell if it was musty, mildewy, or what. The kids thought the play area was really cool even though they were much too old for most of it. I did question the cleanliness of the kids area and the restaurant as a whole, though. The kids thought the cheese pizza was just ok, said there was too much marinara sauce. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the pork was REALLY good — flavorful and tender. All in all not a bad experience but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back if I’m in town again.

Great atmosphere and delicious pizza! It is very welcoming and we loved the card games on the tables! Family oriented. The staff was very friendly and the food was freshly prepared.

Off the main drag and located inside an ancient hotel called Elkhorn Lodge, Cheesy Lee’s was a nice little surprise. We got the Fourteener which was loaded with meats on a thin crust and was rather tasty. Not the best but this place is very family friendly and quaint. They have a pretty decent salad bar and a fountain where one can get refills is nice too.

The pizza here was great, but the breadsticks were so much better. The location of the place is a bit scary, but the food is totally worth it. The only thing that concerned me when I was dining here was the older employees were kind of pushy and seems a bit stressed out. The other employees were great, but it seemed like a lot of people had issues with just the one guy.

Family loves this place but I am not a fan. Maybe it’s a midwest thing. They have a gluten-free pizza crust that is a hit in our house.

This is a hard one for me because Unilocal really let me down. I was under the impression that this would be a food highlight of the trip. The pizza was fine, but I feel like this place could be so much more. Cheesy Lee’s has the perfect setup in an old motel. The kind of hole in the wall place you wanna tell your friends about and then it’s ruined by their weird and cheesy logo and average everyday pizza that will drive you broke. The staff was friendly I just really hoped for all I read about. If I remember, the salad bar that was so highly spoken of was over five dollars… For one trip. A second or third was extra. This would be fine if the pizza wasn’t so expensive. A 14 inch pizza is their largest size(a medium in my book) and the only ones worth getting are 20 bucks. A medium pizza for 20 bucks? That is incredible. Leaving full is an expensive task for a group of hungry people that were hiking all day. Usually ordering pizzas for a group is a relatively cheaper option, which is why we did pizza one night. This is not the case at Cheesy Lee’s. Our group of five ate cheaper at Smokin’ Dave’s. We drank more beer there too. Brat

If you want pizza in Estes Park, Cheesy Lee’s is the place to go. From the previous reviews, it is incredible to me how people are complaining about the setting. You can see that it is in an old building so yeah it isn’t modern or luxurious by any means. However, that is half the fun of the place. If you are looking for good pizza and enjoy live music/a quirky unique settings, this is the place.

Very good pizza and unlike most of the chain pizza places ! I LOVED the hint of honey in the pizza and bread sticks bread! Definitely a place to try while you are visiting the Estes Park area!

See my review for the Elkhorn Lodge. Everything written in that review applies to this place, located within said lodge. I can sum up the review quickly… the pizza is frozen, the salad bar needed restocking and the cleanliness of the restaurant is suspect at best. My advice is to stay far, far away from this place.

I’m not sure what is happening at this place, but: A) the vibe is weird, vaguely in the«scary youth camp» genre. B) the pizza could easily be outdone by some thing frozen at the grocery store C) PBR drafts are $ 1.

Great pizza place set in a creepy old hotel. I really relied on Unilocal reviews for this because my family thought I was crazy when we pulled up and walked into the old hotel. However, don’t let that stop you from trying this gem. The salad bar was fresh and had a lot of options. The pizza was great. We had a cheese, The Summit, and a Block and Cleaver. All were delicious with ample cheese, sauce, and toppings.

This is the best pizza I’ve had in Colorado! I’m not really a pizza person, so it takes an extremely Stan out pizza to get my attention. We got the single trip to the salad bar, which was a well stocked combination of fresh veggies, meats and cheeses. They are simple ingredients, but they were fresh, and there were a lot of them!!! This place is located adjacent to the Elkhorn Lodge, a 140 year old hunting lodge where Mr. Stanley(the owner and builder of the Stanley Hotel) used to stay on his hunting trips before and during the construction of the Stanley Hotel. It is an unsuspecting gem that is off the beaten track, and well worth wandering out of touristville for. Lee hails from the garlic capital of the U.S., Gillroy California. He is the one who will greet you, take your order and wait on you the whole time. He runs the show, and was so accommodating and grateful that we chose his humble restaurant. The place is huge! It has an entire 5th of the main room filled with kids toys. It’s looks like a fantastic spot for kids! They have an over sized checker board at the entrance, and a game room for grown ups just before you get through their door. There happened to be a set of Uno cards at our table, but we were too hungry and tired to play… Next time!!!(Because I will be back there!)

You might feel like you’re in a Scooby-Doo cartoon but disregard the location because the food is phenomenal. We ordered the cheesebread, and the garlic sauce was delicious. We also experienced the largest calzone ever. The staff and owner were so friendly and welcoming. Great little find in Estes Park.

A hidden gem in Estes Park! This family owned restaurant is part of the Elkhorn Lodge complex located at the west end of Elkorm Avenue just past the main drag. Tons of character, the best pizza we have had in ages and a great place to hang out and relax.

Pretty darn good pizza! Hot, very cheesy but the cheese is well cooked. I generally like my pizza a bit more well done(and might request it that way next time) but it had that browned look to it and great flavor. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. They do have a small selection of bottled beers and wines. Atmosphere is more like a fast food joint… Id prefer more of a restaurant with a bar, but you Cant have everything! Here’s hoping a place that has invested in food quality can survive on this little strip of road outside the national park(great view from the parking lot!!)
