This small town hardware store by far the best addition to our community in years. Whether it be paint, supplies, or even housewares(make sure you go upstairs!), they have what I need. I always hated having to drive into Woodland or Vacaville, especially for the small repair items I need now and then. The staff is helpful and always courteous… they know their stuff. You know all those Ace Hardware commercials you see on tv? This store is perfect example of how their motto really. and hey… they offer a military discount(not as common as you might think) for active, retired or reservist military members… YEAH!!! The street parking sucks bigtime… but, if you hate backing into a stall the parking lot by the post office is right across the street.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked of you need help which is fantastic. They have just about anything you need.

The weekend staff are horrible. They are young and very much lacking knowledge on products and what is what there. It appears they are very young… right out of high school if not still in high school and its a shame. I would rather drive to Woodland and go to HD instead of be treated rudely and then they don’t know anything about much so a 15 minute drive is well worth it.

Thank God I don’t have to drive into Woodland to go to the Home Despot anymore. This place just opened, and has everything I love about a local hardware store. Super friendly folk who know their stuff, a great selection(sure, just slightly higher prices than HD, but the money stays more local, and these people know what they’re talking about), plus they carry the more specialized things that HD and the big boxes don’t even know exist. Plus, they have a great kitchen section upstairs, with things like stainless utensils, great knives, and lots of cast iron pans. Add in free popcorn and coffee, and what else do you want? Go listen to David Wilcox’ «East Asheville Hardware,» then go here.
