Ridgeview Apartments

Hey, this complex is great. You cannot find anything as good fro the price. I don’t understand the one star reviews at all. We are non-​smokers so if there were a stench of tobacco or anything else we would be sensitive to that. The whole complex is regularly maintained, tree trimming, watering, repainting. repairing and the common area floors are also vacuumed or washed. The trash is picked up all the time and we admire how well the truck drivers manage to do their jobs. We are with AT&T, no problems– some neighbors have COX no problems there either. The people who live here do keep to themselves but they are friendly. We have never seen any homeless people sleeping anywhere around here. We love the fact that this is not a cookie-​cutter place. The pool area is so special with the gurgling waterfall; the jacuzzi is wonderful and having a gym right here keeps us from procrastinating. Ridgeview Apartments really deserve 4 and a half stars, and only because the pool is not heated. Having the laundry in the basement is just an elevator ride away and the heat from the machines stays there. We enjoy the location because it’s near everything, yet up on a hill with great views. The other reviews are old and the new manager is great so we are posting this to update the information and make it accurate.

I lived here quite awhile. It’s in the dead end of Escondido. I lucked out and had great neighbors but tweakers broke the door down to get under my building and do all kinds of drugs. The buildings are old and maintenance doesn’t repair anything. Almost everything in my apartment stopped working. The elevator is SCARY and the safety inspection was always expired. They didn’t bother fixing that until someone got stuck in the door and was almost seriously injured. The manager is extremely racist and nosey. If she sees anyone outside their apartment she asks them to leave. She accuses anyone of color of smoking pot and being «gangbangers» and calls security on anyone outside after ten. Heaven forbid I needed some fresh air and space after working inside 10 hours a day. You can hear all your neighbors. The neighbors above me regularly had loud, window shaking sex and anytime they had people over you could expect not to sleep cause their footsteps shake the windows. Upon moving out, they make any excuses to keep the most out of your deposit. You couldn’t pay me to live here again.

A home is what you make it… Strong pot/​cigarette stench, dog poop not picked up, garbage not put in the bins, barely any parking for visitors, only one maintenance man, took more than 3 attempts to get internet, the walls are thin, homeless people sleep in the hallways, people that live there don’t say hi or smile… Dirty place, needs improvements or nicer/​cleaner people chosen to live there, embarrassing place to visit…
