Best food in Park. Open only on busy days. They could improve in the speed department, but food is decent. Get their brisket plate, draft beer and enjoy your meal by the pond. Splendid!

The sandwiches here are not terrible. I was actually surprised that they were a little above amusement park food. Prices are definitely at amusement park comparison. I also got some pulled pork nachos which I do not recommend. Stick with sandwiches. You’re welcome. If you get drinks you’re definitely looking at the $ 15 dollar range per person.

Probably the best food place at the Safari Park. Lots of yummy choices, mostly BBQ style food. Ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and it was good, above average typical zoo food. It also came with fries and cole slaw. They had pulled pork nachos on the menu, definitely going to try those next; they looked super yummy. There’s lots of seating, indoor and out. We had a view of the Lagoon loop, a nice big pond with tons of ducks. It was a great and relaxing view. I would recommend coming here for your big meals, although there’s tons of small snack and drinks stands all over the park.

San Diego Safari Park is loaded with lovely places to take a break. I have recently discovered a spot in the African Village that overlooks Mombasa Lagoon. There are plenty of tables and it is a great place to regroup. The Safari park caters to adults by selling plenty of cocktails and beer too.
