Had a 14.4V battery rebuilt in 2012, from that time on it put the other two new batteries I had to shame. I use my batteries a lot and don’t really treat them well. I have since moved to Arizona, with the heat and lots of use the other two gave up. So I looked up and dropped them of on a trip back to Ca. The batteries were repaired and returned to me in a jiff and I’m back to all the house and car projects with the confidence that my drill will keep up. Can’t beat it since replacement batteries cost more, don’t last as long and don’t have the battery life of these replacements.

About a year ago, I brought a few batteries to the old FixMyBatteries shop to be rebuilt, and they did a nice job re-coring them to a fine garage-bangin’ old guy’s standards(they were the big fat DeWalt 18-volt jobbies). Wham, bam, thank you ma’am. Note, however, I wrote«old». I prefer to deal with outfits like this face to face, so I walked in with five more batteries a few weeks later — two more of the 18-volt DeWalts and three of the rather scarce Makita 14.4-volt units from the sweet lightweight Makitas everyone used to treasure. Then, I heard nothing for more than a month. I made calls, was worried, and was considering getting pissed off, when one of the owners gave me a call. It turned out that had had a bit of a partnership snafu, and now it was just one guy — Brad — and not the other guy. He got ahead of the error, made recompense to me for the delay, and I was completely satisfied. Their new phone number(and the one on the website) is 760.975.3989. They’re still in business, though they’re not using a retail storefront anymore. This would have been a five-star review, but I cannot ignore the monthlong delay. Forgiveness is one thing, but never forget. However, I’d send more batteries to them without hesitation — they did good work, and a year later, those 18-volt DeWalts are still chopping and drilling and grinding away.

These guys are awesome. I have a LOT of cordless tools, and use them every day. Anyone who uses tools a lot is familiar with the ungodly prices DeWalt, Makita, etc. charge for new batteries. Thank God for these guys. Not only are their«rebuilts» made with a higher quality battery parts f than the ones the manufacturers use, they are less expensive. These guys get your batteries rebuilt and back to you in a day, in most cases. They really have it down. As well, they are extremely knowledgeable and professional. As well as providing a superior product(better than the manufacturers), these are men who risked their lives in defense of our country, so i am even happier to give them my business.

I just purchased a NiMh 18v DeWalt rebuild and oh boy am I impressed! I have been using it and I am convinced it would outperform 3 brand new retail DeWalt batteries. There is absolutely no reason to replace your old batteries with new batteries. Talk to Josh(the owner/operator) and he will steer you in the right direction. Not only does he rebuild battery packs for power tools, he will sell you better, less expensive batteries for anything that uses electricity. I plan on taking my MacBook in next week, as well as my Roomba vacuum. When I left a senior citizen was raving about the great job did on his electric motorized scooter. At the end of the day, Josh saved me a boat load of jack, and he did it by providing me with a product that was superior to the original. Do yourself a favor, go to Escondido and get your batteries rebuilt(turn off of Simpson Way at «Koi City.»

Thank goodness that Home Depot DIDNOT have the replacement 18V Bosch Battery I needed. That’s because I found FixMyBatteries later that night. I visited the storefront in Escondido and had excellent customer service. I upgraded my charge pack to a NicMHD and, while more expensive, the duration of the charge is a powerhouse. It addition, it’s awesome to support a U.S. company run by Veterans.
