This place used to be good, but since the new owners took over the food has gone noticeably downhill. I’ve been coming to DKs for over 10 years, but I won’t be going back. There have been a lot of changes to the restaurant in the last year or so and most of them are bad. If you want a dry, tasteless burger, synthetic tasting fries and don’t mind overpaying for both then be sure to give DKs a try. 2 stars because this used to be one of my favorites and I’m having a hard time letting go.

Horribly slow, waited 20+ minutes in drive through to receive my order. Food is OK however not worth the wait.

Best burgers and shakes for miles around. Deluxe means lettuce and tomatoes. I just get double cheeseburger and a shake. Happy happy joy joy.

How can you mess up a burger? This place did that. Yellow cheese cold, meat no flavor, the piece of ham ruined the burger honestly. I was looking for a home style basic but got charged $ 30 for 2 adults and 2 kids. The wife took one bite and refuse to eat anymore. Onion rings beer battered? Full of oil and pretty much sucked. The food took 20 minutes to get out of the kitchen. You have 6 kids working there and an older gentleman on an Saturday afternoon. That person is shy and let’s the kids run the show! He should be giving out orders and making sure the food is good instead he’s face down working away. Add onions, pickles, mustard, marinated the meat with garlic salt and pepper get some flavor going. The ham is a joke. This place has a lot of potential.

This place has potential… Being that it was my 1st time here, I had a few of questions about the food for the young lady taking my order. Like, «What do you recomend?» «Can I get extra toppings on my beefalo burger?» Etc. She seemed annoyed, which rushed me into getting a beefalo burger that could have been awesome if I were aware of my options. I substituted frys with onion rings, which had to be rung up separately to do… Added annoyness to the young lady… IDK what I was thinking. I ended up with homemade style rings which tasted like they were dipped in corn dog batter. A-lot of corndog batter. I left with a butterfinger swirly that was delicious and a better understanding of the menu. Service wasn’t amazing, but I’d still give it another shot with more experience with the options. The food that the local Ephrata folks were getting looked way better.

We stopped here on the out way out of town for one of their local famous shakes. They had plenty of options and of course I went with chelate peanut butter because what else would you choose? I also ordered just plain cheeseburger. The shake was amazing and the burger was pretty delicious, I knew it was made to order because it took just a little longer and was full of flavor. I would recommend this to anyone getting some lunch on their way through or out of town.

My sister in law and I were in town for a concert at the Gorge and stopped here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. The staff is young but friendly, the place is tidy & clean and this mom & pop joint offers all the usual goodies of burgers, fries, shakes and so many treats to cool you off. We ordered the bacon burger, fish sandwich, onion rings and one of the BEST shakes we’ve ever had. They advertise«fresh but frozen berries» and they aren’t lying. YUM!!! We’re all about dipping sauces for our sides and both ordered the tarter sauce which was very confusing. Although tasty on my fish sandwich, when tried alone it’s red, zesty and nothing like a proper tarter sauce. Almost like a southwestern something or another but without the zip. Not bad but really pointless. I suggest you skip this one and go for the ranch instead. The quality was top notch and the prices for the portion sizes really can’t be beat. It’s a MUST go!

Amazing food, great service, prices that are easy on your pocket… What more do you want??? Oh, eating in the shade of a walnut tree. I fancy myself a bit of a drive in aficionado, this place stacks up with some of the best. Each bite you can taste the quality of the ingredients and they do the basics perfectly. We had the beefalo burger, mother burger, tots, fries, and onion rings. Had to go back for an ice cream too! Hats off to these guys, it’s easy to be average, but this is a gem of a drive in!!!

If you want cheap food, go to McDonald’s. If you want delicious drive-in food, come here. DK’s is an Ephrata legend and has been locally owned and operated FOREVER. Whether you’re visiting the Sun Lakes, Gorge, Dry Falls, on your way to the Grand Coulée Dam, or if you just happen to find yourself in Ephrata for some other reason, you’ve got to stop here. Here is my list of recommendations: -#1!!! Turkey Sandwich(I add tomato for 25 cents, otherwise it’s just turkey, lettuce shreds, and mayo on their AMAZING, soft, thickly sliced, delicious homemade bread) –Peanut Butter Milkshake –Any polar swirl(what kind of kid snubs ice cream with candy chunks blended in it? How can that be bad? Sounds like a brat to me, feeding off of their parent’s negativity…) –Beer-Battered Onion Rings –Fries –If you’re getting a burger, get the Motherburger. Just do it. –Grilled Cheese(on the same delicious bread as the turkey sandwich) –Chicken Strips –Chili –Soft-serve ice cream cones –they have beefalo burgers for those of you who are watching your girlish figures. Yes, it will cost more than your average fast-food place. Yes, the drive thru can have a moderate wait, especially for fried food, which shouldn’t bother you unless you have something against fresh food. Yes, if you like amazing homemade bread, you’ll be in heaven here. And yes, the building is old, but it is very clean inside, which is more than I can say for other places in town. You’ll find an extended gravel parking area to accommodate motor homes, trailers, and even cars when the main lot is full. There is good reason this place gets very busy! Give it a try.

EGAD! The previous reviews on this restaurant must have been from locals. For $ 17+ we got 2 Beefaloes one with an extra patty and onion rings with 2 waters. The patties were thin and overlooked. The buns were typical grocery store fare and the lettuce was iceberg shavings with two thin slices of mushy tomato. The onion rings were lukewarm, greasy and heavily breaded. I chatted with a fellow patron standing in line and commented that with all the people there this must be a good restaurant. He replied that it was the only one worth going too. A sad commentary to to other eateries in the area. I think we would prefer the Subway at Walmart next time or bring our own food!

Stayed in the town for a couple of days for the Sasquatch Festival at The Gorge, and had to work with what this little town had to offer for food. We were pleasantly surprised by this drive-in. We had burgers, which were delicious and not at all small like the other review states. Fries were good as well. Service was fast and easy. They also offer a large selection of ice cream, shakes, etc. A good place to stop off the highway!

Came here because of a local referral from Sam’s dad — big mistake! $ 30 for 2 adults and 2 kids to get a burger and fries. Bacon cheeseburger had a pan fried tiny burger(smaller burger than a McDonald’s hamburger) with undercooked bacon, American cheese and no discernible condiments on it. For 27 cents you could get some bad tarter sauce to put on it. Would highly recommend the Dusty’s 5 burgers for $ 6.99 — bigger and come with good sauce for free. Had wannabe DQ blizzards as well which the kids took a couple bites wouldn’t eat after that.

As far as drive ins go this is a decent one, above average thin patty burger, good home made onion rings. Malt wasn’t my favorite. I’d try someplace else before going back though.

This place is the best place to eat in Ephrata and surrounding area. This was my first job, but before working there I was addicted to this place and it’s food. The burgers in this place are absolutely wonderful. The«Mother Burger» is their crown jewel. This is the beat burger I’ve ever eaten and when ever I come home I have to get one of these. The onion rings, fries, tater rounds are so damn good. The beer battered and old fashioned onion rings are so damn good I can’t put it into words how delicious they are. The fries are cooked to order and always comes to you nice and hot. The tater rounds are my favorite and are just perfect with any burger you buy. The sandwiches on their homemade bread are EXCELLENT!!! The fish and chips are my dads favorite and is one damn good meal with the fish, fries, Texas toast and… the tarter sauce. The tarter sauce is the best thing from DK’s in my opinion. This goes good with any of the burgers as an extra sauce, great to dip the onion rings, fries and tater rounds in and the best with the fish and chips. This sauce is not like your typical tarter sauce and they are actually no words to explain the taste. When I cone back home I have to bring a few back down to Oregon with me… THEBEST!!! And all this great food is made to order so it is hot and fresh. You might need to wait a bit for your food, but it is so worth it. If you are ever in Grant County you need to go to DK’s because it is so worth it.

DK’s has the best ice cream treats. Get an oreo polar swirl or a peanut butter milkshake. So amazing! They also have great beefalo burgers as well as tater rounds. Delicious fast food. I would go here any day over McDonald’s or Burger King.
