1777 Americana Inn

What to say… it’s like my home away from home when I’m in Amish country with my husband. We have stayed in both of the suites the tranquility cottage and rustic hideaway… they’re like having your own apartment/​loft… both really comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is always delicious sometimes egg quiche, waffles, fruit, sausage, muffins… the inn keepers Denise and Bob are really nice and cool! Love the new addition– the brewery! This was my first B&B experience in this area and they did not disappoint. My husband put the weekend together as a surprise and the owners were so wonderful and accommodating to his requests.
We stayed in the rustic hideaway cottage which is separate from the main house and has a full size living room, hot tub, very nice room and bathroom! The tv is huge so we brought movies and there is a mini fridge as well if you want to bring or buy food. The jacuzzi being in the cottage was awesome as well and so relaxing to have during the winter, definitely a treat.
The hot breakfast served in the morning was also delicious… an egg omelet with various veggies included and the muffins and juice looked awesome. There is a great coffee selection as well.
The owners came in a couple times to make sure that we were all taken care of, just so nice and they were great to talk to!
For lunch we stopped into their onsite micro-​brewery which was lovely! They carry their own brews and some of the local wines. The décor is so cool and the food was great, the pulled pork taco’s were totally filled with delicious meat, you know it’s good when it’s so messy.
Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a little getaway. Down the road are antique shops to spend a nice Sunday morning, there is great Columbian food about 10 mins away as well.

Wife and I spent a week at the 1777 Americana Inn and it was an absolutely awesome experience. We really enjoyed owners Steve and Wendy’s hospitality, their attention to details, and care for guest comfort. Wendy’s breakfasts are wonderful. Each room has its own bathroom with abundant hot water and there is Wifi and HD TV. It just cannot be beat and we didn’t want to leave. A short walk to downtown and a short drive to all the antiquing and Amish watching you can handle. We will be back.
