There are so many places, and companies to use, when looking for a home to rent in Enterprise. These people are used to working with military and I feel like they take advantage of the fact that we’ll only be here for a short while and there are always new families moving in so there isn’t really an incentive for them to try, I mean, someone will rent it… right? Gee, thanks! We’ve lived in our place for almost 5 months and aren’t exactly thrilled. We never received our key to the clubhouse that is located in our complex because when we signed our lease they ‘just didn’t have one’. We’ve had an issue with our leaky water heater ever since we moved in, we notified them 2 months ago and there hasn’t been any progress made. When we moved in there were holes in the walls from where the previous tenants hung pictures and such. We wanted to start with a blank slate so we patched the holes and painted over them with the house paint that was in the garage. Turns out that they use crappy paint and it had faded tremendously so now our patchwork sticks out like a sore thumb. When we mentioned it to our property manager, she said that that’s why they don’t patch anything, because their paint fades. Again, thanks. We wanted to work something out with the property owner to get a better lawn going, since all we have is weeds, the property manager said she would speak to him and then we never heard another word. Then, our kitchen sink broke(the pull out nozzle came off) to no fault of ours, and they said they could send someone out when they get a plumber to fix our water heater(the same water heater we tried to get them to fix 2 months ago) so for now we don’t have a kitchen sink. Maybe there aren’t any better property managers around here, but I would look elsewhere first if we could do it over again. UPDATE(7−23−10): Our water-heater did eventually get replaced(about 3 – 3 ½ months after our first complaint), the plumber was a friend of the home owners and he said we could just call him if anything else happens since it would be much faster. Also, after calling a few times and finally going into the office to complain about our water-heater we did get a clubhouse key and the woman who did our lease seemed to be in a bit of trouble for never giving us one(we also mentioned that she never gave us a walk through of the house or signed off on any damages when we moved in, I recently noticed that her name is no longer on their website). I will say that the day our air conditioning broke they were very quick in getting a repair guy out to our house. But just when I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt, I called this morning to report our garage door not working(I’m sensing a theme here…) and it’s before business hours; their voice mail is a standard vm recording saying you’ve reached such and such number –no mention of the company– and then it told me that the number I had dialed couldn’t receive voicemails at this time! Seriously? UPDATE(6−27−11) This place only gets better!(sense the sarcasm?) We moved out in May and it was a HORRIBLE experience. I dealt with a woman(Jamie) who wouldn’t respond to emails or phone calls. I was even in the office at one point and she refused to speak with me. The list of things they ask you to clean and do when you move out is absolutely ridiculous but I was determined to clean the house myself since otherwise we would have to pay hundreds of dollars and it wasn’t even guaranteed that it would be up to their ‘standards’. We cleaned things that were on their list that had obviously not been cleaned before we moved in. There was a huge spill behind the stove that I would have remembered making. They also make you pay to steam clean the carpets, and refused to let us off the hook for one room(an UNUSED room) that we had cleaned just months before. Here are just a few fun things I had to do/clean: Behind the fridge, stove, washer and dryer Power wash the ‘patio’(cement right outside our back door and between our house and our neighbors) Scrub the fence in the backyard(the gardeners that THEY hire don’t cut the grass enough and it grows so high that the plastic fence gets this nasty green gunk stuck to it) Re-seeded the backyard(like there was grass when we moved in???) Inside all the light fixtures Clean all the windows — inside & out(of our 2 story townhouse!!!) Anyways, luckily my cleaning was up to par and they only charged us for the carpet cleaning. However, it took them 35 days to get our refund check out. Every time we called they responded with the same thing — «by law we have 35 days to get it to you». Yeah, thanks again for taking ALL the allotted time, I’m sure mailing a check to us when you were done with the move-out days after we left is really hard. If you’ve made it this far in my review — I commend you! Please choose a different company to rent or buy from :)
