If you were to pass through town and ask about the nightlife, Oscars would most likely be the first place you’d hear about. Infamous particularly for its Wing night Wednesday, this place leaves a lot to be desired. The wings are okay, but they’re so okay, that it’s not even worth the trip, not to mention the ridiculously long line you wait in to get them, since every flyboy from Ft Rucker hangs out here. The service is good though and I’ve found every employee here to be very hospitable. The place is split into three sections, a main dining section, a bar, and another bar in the back. The bartenders make are decent, but they lack many of the ingredients to make some of the most commonly known drinks. For example, I ordered an old fashioned and they didn’t include the simple syrup because they didn’t have it. So what I go was an extremely bitter drink that I had to return to the bartender. The crowd here can sometimes also be an issue. It is typically an all guys type of place with the once in awhile exception of women being present if you’re lucky. It is primarily flight school students throughout the bar, which isn’t a big deal, but can get annoying when you don’t feel like talking about helicopters. Bottom line, it gets three stars. It’s an average place at best, and probably won’t ever change because it brings in so much money from flight school students alone, that it has no need to.

Why does it take over an hour to get hot wings on Wed night? I ain’t never going back. Here’s a tip. Don’t park in the Cash Lending parking lot next door. You will get towed.

Oscars is great. Gabby is a wonderful bartender. She’s super friendly and her service is fast. The other employees are awesome too. Try the breakfast shot!

This bar would be nice for a quick drink after work. It’s not a great place for night life. It was okay but a bit of an odd crowd and not much going on inside. Pub meets sports bar meets night club.

I most likely wouldn’t visit again… Or maybe since it was poker night people were rude. The staff took the chairs at our table without asking… it was just weird to me. The food was pretty good for a crummy bar however!

If you want to see the worst stereotypes of both the military and small town southerners then this is the place. It is rife with aggressive, immature boys. Their bartenders are rude and incompetent… I ordered a Bloody Mary and got tequila mixed with clamato and salt on the rim! C’mon this is one of the oldest cocktails in history! You will have to push through the herd of sweaty douches to get to the bathroom as well. If you are a male you are likely to get in a fight leaving or at least witness one in their dark and crowded parking lots. If you are a female prepare to be suffocated by jackasses because you are one out of a hundred males. I will say this again, Dear God please bring a nice establishment to this armpit of a town.

Great place to have your car broke into and all your belongings stolen the police dept said this has happened numerous times and the cheap skate owners still refuse the police depts request that they put cameras up because of the bad neighborhoods behind the place so beware don’t go to this place find a place where the owners care about their patrons

I adore Oscar’s! Yes, the guy-to-girl ratio is about 25:1, so this might not be the best place to hook up, but the beer selection is fantastic(for Enterprise, Alabama) and they have 25 cent wings on Wednesday night that are actually quite tasty.

I drove by Oscars for a year before I decided to stop in. Now i’m a regular. Oscar tries hard to give his customers what they want. He has a large menu and doesn’t mind making something off menu. The food is good and the beer is ice cold. Karoke night is always good for a few laughs and what I really like is No Limit Holdem Poker 3 nights a week. Oscars hosts the Rucker Poker League with 5 tournaments a week. One on tuesday and two each on friday and saturday. They usually have a full house of 50+ players. Enterprise is only a few miles from Fort Rucker and the majority of Oscars patrons are either in the Army or civilians working for the Army. If you have a problem with that then you should probably stay home.

I was a little nervous to try oscars– When people talk about it, «sausage fest» usually comes up– but we gave it a go and were pleased. I thought it was a great mix of people and the ones I met were locals, some friendly, some not so much, pretty typical. We went for Karaōke and learned a valuable lesson: Karaōke in the south is dominated by Dixie chicks and sugarland. I didnt know. I go up to sing my usuals(Al green, Dusty Springfield) and people look at me like Im crazy! Noted.(Although I think my Tina Turner was a hit) Also I think the Karaōke is run by Chumley from Pawn Stars.(or a guy who looks like him of course.) Drinks were cheap IF a little weak. We will be back, Karaōke was a good time and Im ready to give it another go!

Oscars is a popular flight school hang out. The type of place where everyone is constantly sized up(and down). But if you are looking for a night out for wings they are always crowded on Wednesday nights. I think they have a burger special one night too. I tend to like places where people actually hang out, and this seems to be one of the only spots in town, hence the three stars. They have typical bar fare, darts and some other games. It looks like one of the rooms is set up for poker(?) and they have a back room with a different atmosphere from the main bar. Decent vibe. Good place to grab a beer.
