I had a great experience with an online order from The Tile Shop almost four years ago for some very popular mosaic penny tile that we used for a kitchen backsplash. I ordered over a holiday sale weekend and got a tremendous discount on my order. The order was delayed multiple times which didn’t impact my project at all, and they contacted me frequently with updates. We were so happy with how our gleaming backsplash turned out that we saved the leftover tile sheets(we had quite a bit of extras due to needing to order by the case(online, not in stores). Now a few years later, The Tile Shop actually has stores in Colorado and we had plans to use our leftover tile for a new, smaller backsplash in a different kitchen. We confirmed online and over the phone that they carried this same tile, however my husband had the bright idea to bring a sheet with us to compare when we went to the store to pick up a few extra sheets needed to complete our project. It was immediately obvious that the new tile had ever so slightly larger penny tiles, which would not fit with our leftovers. I guess tile manufacturers can sometimes make changes over the years… womp womp. I was crushed and was waiting for the salespeople assisting us to suggest that we needed to buy all new tile, but without even skipping a beat, they suggested we use what we had and add a border or something like that to fill up the space in our wall, since we almost had enough. To be honest, I’m not sure that would have occurred to me but it was a great cost-effective solution. We looked at some options they suggested and we ended up purchasing some very plain white subway tiles for filler at our regular discount tile shop due to lower prices, however I wouldn’t hesitate to use The Tile Shop for a future project based on the service we received. They have a really unique selection and generally affordable prices.

I recently dealt with this company and I wouldn’t buy a glass of water from them! They are the most dishonest bunch of sales people I have ever dealt with. I purchased floor tile, knowing up front that it was a discontinued style, but when the boxes were opened the tile were 2 totally different colors. Their response was«that style does that.» After threatening to go to their corporate office in Minnesota, we were given a discount on new tile, but it took a lot of arguing. Don’t do business with this particular tile shop.
