I went on a Tuesday night around 6:00. There were about 20 people in 9 parties. The restaurant is easy to find and is in a nice trendy neighborhood. I can imagine parking may be at a premium on a Friday or Saturday. The noise level is higher than most restaurants, more a bar level. The service level was good. The menu is not large. But in fairness it looked like the menu changes depending on expected customer load and availability of food items. I ordered the hot and sour soup. The broth was not as expected and was thick. The scallions were very strong. I doubt I would order it again. Vegetable Egg Roll was good. L Bomb Roll is huge. Not bad. I will will rate the place as three stars. Not bad but not special.

Fantastic restaurant with a varied menu that always delivers. Last time in i had the short ribs which were exceptional and I had very good service — very friendly. I like the Villagio complex and the vibe is relaxed, a little trendy and convenient.

I ordered food to go on Sunday night. With only 2 other patrons in the whole restaurant, it took 45 min. for them to prepare 2 sushi rolls, a spring roll and an order of coconut shrimp. When I got home to eat, the sushi rolls would crumble when I pick them up. The peanut sauce was horrible. The food overall was not worth a dime. I will not be returning to waste my money on this place again.

Food was good service was good. We tried the L Bomb roll, holy hell was it huge! Huge but good this is not bite sized folks. Hubs got the char kuey teow noodle dish and loved it. I got the spicy pineapple chicken and it was like a non-deep fried sweet and sour onion & chicken dish. Too sweet for my taste, the onion to everything else ratio was way off and canned pineapple is frowned upon. Overall we will come back and I’ll try something else.

The service isn’t always on point here, but I keep coming back for more. The hot and sour soup is one of my favorites. It’s slightly thicker than my normal expectation, but delicious. The dim sum is also great. I love the spring rolls and the moneybags. The sushi is great and they will customize if like me you want to «add avocado» or «loose the cream cheese». They have Kirin on tap and lots of yummy drinks. The happy hour during the week is an amazing deal for drinks and food. They have these great small /round booths in the bar area where you can be a same side sitter with your significant other; without looking like a same side sitter. OR you can sit on the patio near the fire. The crowd tends to be loud and again, the service is spotty at best. Give it a few minutes or grab the food to go… It’s delish!

Had the Tuna Tataki Salad. The raw fish was not the freshest. The salad flavor was a little bland as well. Service was great.

I decided a couple of months ago to stop visiting this establishment. Lettuce Wraps are great, but the rest of their food is at best average, the Pork Belly is not good. My real issue with this restaurant is their management and ownership. They seem to think I should feel privileged to be able to dine at their restaurant. They will not make any changes to their dishes if you have a special need in your dining, in fact their wait staff seems to shy away from even discussing a special meal. Char R. indicated their staff«doesn’t get it» I agree, neither does their management or ownership.

The curry and fried rice was bangin’. But the staff doesn’t get it. It was that obligatory façade of politeness, you know? When people open their eyes real big, so much that their foreheads get scrunchy, and they’re all, «Yeah, sure! No problem!» like they’ve got to convince you it’s really no problem when you already know it ain’t a problem. I don’t know, I mean– I used to teach, and there’s a difference between a kid reading words aloud and understanding what they’re reading, right? These cats ‘know’ the basics of serving, but have no idea how to practically apply them. I got the impression a supervisor jumped down all their throats about it(see some previous posts), and now the overcompensation has swung the pendulum to the Phony end of the spectrum. It ain’t the end of the world, but noticeable/memorable enough to write about later.

Went to a great event there yesterday with a company and they put us in a side room that offers more privacy and a way to block out the lunch noise. We had our own personal server that was with us the whole time. We never ran out of water, appetizers and he recognized that we had presentations going on and brought out pitchers for us. The food was great. I had the combination Lo mein, which was good. Not something I would order again with all the other options that everyone else had. The menu is VERY vegetarian friendly, if you are looking for a new place it’s has so many options for meals. Worth looking into! There is also a great kids option with bento boxes that they will love! Great healthy foods and options that will take kids outside their comfort zone. Perfect for kids that are adventurous. If you want sushi, get it here! My kids loved it and I love that the quality is top knotch!

I really love this place! The food is great. The Miso Ramen with Pork Belly is amazing! The menu is just right, it’s not too enormous or all over the place. They’ve found a good variety of dishes that they do damn good and focus on perfection. The staff is great as well. They’re not all up in your face, but they are all very nice people with great suggestions if you ask. The GM seems to be in all the time and has a sincere concern on you having a pleasant meal and the restaurant in general. We love to bring our kids in on Fridays for their«kids eat free night». Just a good well rounded place.

Great happy hour! We went for an early happy hour and sat at the bar. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. It’s hip and fresh and comfortable. The happy hour drink and menu specials are quite reasonable. I had pork egg rolls. They were fried just right, and the filling was flavorful. I dipped them in hot mustard(effectively clearing out my sinuses) and sweet-sour sauce, which was unique and really tasty. We’ll come back to sample the rest of the menu.

Sticky ribs and pork belly. Need I say more? Order it and you will leave satisfied. The management cares about the experience. The last time I came in with my father. Ordered the pork belly, appetizers, soup, and drinks. The pork belly was just not its extraordinary self. Good but too much salt. The manager tried some in the back kitchen. Stated he replaced that night’s sauce after concurring with our palettes. He removed both dibbers, gave us a coupon for free appetizers next time and engaged us in conversation. I normally love the pork belly, but was so looking forward to it that the mistake ALMOST made a repeat customer, not repeat. I will be back. I believe in their consistency. Love their food… and now am amazed at their exceptional service.

Miso Ramen and Spicy Tuna roll Were excellent! Great Date spot and fantastic service. Very impressed with the quality of food and speedy service on a Sunday night. The more I go here, the more I like it. I am kind of obsessed with the Miso Ramen. Love it.

The food was good, maybe a little too spicy, but good quality and fresh. However, Our service here was pathetic — slow, lackadaisical, idiot waited on us. Then I found out why… THEYCHARGEDME A 20% GRATUITY for a table of 4. Furthermore, they didnt TELL me they were adding forced gratuity and then when I signed the check with 0% they charged me anyway. I Will never be returning to this restaurant again.

For my lucky 197th review, Street Kitchen Asian Bistro rolled right in. The menu was kinda confusing for first timer like us. Way too many offerings. While trying to make a sense of the menu, ordered crab langoon(blue crab and goat cheese), spicy edamames and Chinese broccoli. Edamame was spicy and salty and were great. Liked the crab langoon with creamy filling. The Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was not so great. Leaves were tough and oyster sauce straight out of the bottle was way too salty. In the mean time, ordered hot and sour soup with shrimp lomein. They came out pretty quickly. Due to spiciness of edamame, soup tasted bland. Very bad pairing. Spicy edamame, main dish and side of vegi was SALTY. Even for a person who loves saltiness, way too salty. Worst of all, IPA didn’t go too well with the salty food and left bitter, sticky aftertaste for long time. Service was great. She stopped by to check on us often and refilled drinks. When you are desperate, there is always a hope that other Unilocalers are wrong but not so wise choice this time.

Great place for a delicious lunch. It is a little hard to get in and out within an hour, but the menu is delicious and set up in an innovative way. The menu has a series of colored marks next to the menu item to identify the nation of origin of the dish. While I have never had a problem with any of their dishes, the sk originals have been my favorites. And really, who could say no to stuffed pork belly? So, while both fancier and more expensive than the average work day lunch, definitely worth the occasional splurge.

This is now my favorite Asian bistro. Everything about our experience was superb: friendly, prompt service; awesome menu; delicious food in generous portions; great atmosphere. We sat outside for a lunch visit on a beautiful, sunny day. The«main street» to which the restaurant backs up is not very busy at all. They have tons of fancy umbrellas on adjustable arms, and our server made sure the umbrella was positioned correctly before we sat down. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer, and it was totally delicious. Even the slaw garnish was dressed and tasty enough to eat all of it. When our entrees came, we were thrilled again: I ordered the pork bahn mi, and my husband had the pork belly. Both were succulent, beautifully seasoned, and lightly dressed. Everything had a wholesome freshness about it, which was absolutely enchanting. It was on the spendy side for lunch: $ 53 for one app, three entrees, and two iced teas. What we didn’t realize, though, is that the entrees are big enough to share — especially if you’re having appetizers. I was only able to eat half my sandwich, which is a real shame because it was up there with the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. We will definitely be back!

Wow, what a huge bummer! After reading all the fantastic Unilocal reviews and going over their exciting menu, I could not wait to go to Street Kitchen. But the first thing that turned me off is their hours. Not opened for lunch on Saturdays and closed on Sundays? Good thing it’s not in a shopping mall or something… So we finally made it there on a Saturday evening, I had planned out everything I wanted to try, only to find out almost all of the good ones are missing from the menu! Not that they are out of such items as the Roti or Thai Steamed Dumplings, or even the Chicken or Beef Satays for the night, they simply don’t list them on the menu anymore, well then they should update their online menu!(as of this review, which is 3 weeks after my actual dining experience, I see they’ve updated the menu, but not then). I came with a Groupon and it must be used in one visit, so I was kind of forced into ordering something I wouldn’t have gotten, for example, the okonomiyaki. It’s nothing special and they don’t even serve it with Japanese mayo! The Chinese Sticky Ribs weren’t on my original list but it was a good thing we ordered that. They were very tender, literally fall-off-the-bone softness. The flavor is every bit as Americanized-Chinese as you can get, and I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, I enjoyed them very much. The Stuffed Roasted Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli was always going to be my first choice of entrée, now I think of it, we should’ve gotten the Beef Short Ribs or something. Pork Belly should be fatty, not dry. And the Chinese Broccoli should’ve been served with oyster sauce, not plain as is. The flavor of the pork was good though, very nice chars. Big mistake to serve the Kare Laksa last, it was a noodle soup so not very easy to take it to go. But we simply didn’t have much room left after eating the above. And mind you, the soup was VERYSPICY, I could only eat the noodles and did not dare to sip the soup. Last thing we ordered was a dessert: Vietnamese Coffee Pot de Crème. Now that was the best of kind I’ve ever had! I remember reading about LoHi SteakBar’s Chocolate pudding being the best chocolate pudding in town, nuh-uh, this is! Well, except it’s coffee flavored, but it was so smooth and light(texture) yet strong(flavor). I don’t care how full I get I’ll always have room for this! :-D Service wise, our waiter that night was not very sharp. He forgot our spoons when we asked for them, and the Japanese mayo when we requested it. Now they may not have it but he should’ve come and informed us that instead of «forgetting» about us like that…

We went here twice for dinner in the last couple of months because I had purchased some Living Social deals. The atmosphere was dark and the service was good. The food came out rather fast and I felt rushed. I understand that the dishes come from different kitchens, but they should be able to control the pace of the food. If you want good sushi, this is not the place to go. The shrimp chips needed some kind of dipping sauce like hoisin or plum sauce. The Vietnamese coffee was luke warm. The bok choy was cooked perfectly, but too acidic. The server asked us which rice we wanted with our Stuffed Pork Belly, but did not say it was $ 2 extra until the bill came. Even with the Living Social deal, this place is pricey for the quality of food you get.
