This is an awesome little shop in the Englewood neighborhood, they have catered several of my functions with their outstanding cupcakes. I had a bit of time for fresh brewed coffee and a peach muffin. Excellent! Nothing fancy but good. If you want a pleasant stop. Check this place out. You will enjoy the sweet bake goods.

These guys are so great! ^-^ I stopped by on Friday afternoon to pick up some last-minute cupcakes to surprise my husband and parents with after a Dr.‘s appointment where I found out the gender of our first baby(It’s a boy!). We got three chocolate and three vanilla cupcakes with butter cream frosting and not only were they delicious, but the amazing ladies working went back to the kitchen and found some little blue safety pins, bottles, storks and babies to decorate them with! They were so kind and helpful and they really helped make a special occasion for us even more special. Thank you so much!

Good cupcakes and pie. I purchased a whole peanut butter pie and took it to a dinner party. Everyone enjoyed it. The comments was that it was rich and heavy but very good.

Sometimes, other Unilocal reviews confuse me. Stone House Sweets has been around for at least half a year now, but the only review is a 1-star rant? I knew I had to check this place out myself, especially considering that it’s so close to my house and in the same building as JD’s Custard… the original site of Oinkadoodlemoo BBQ. When I arrived, Stone House was attractively decorated, with a bevy of specials listed. I was greeted as I entered by a courteous counter girl and my order was taken almost immediately. She even double-checked on two different parts of my drink order: a caffe mocha with caramel and«just a touch» of whipped cream. The drink was quickly and ably prepared, with just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. I also ordered a lemon bar, which was both sizable(and only $ 2) and toothsome. The lemon bar had a nice balance of pastry flakiness, sourness from the lemon curd, and sweetness from a touch of powdered sugar over the top. The pastries were very obviously homemade, and I’ll certainly be back to sample some more. The cupcakes, particularly, looked good, with a number of unorthodox varieties. Key lime? Sign me up! I was somewhat disappointed that there were no whole pies available in the front case, but the individual pieces were sizable and looked good. One item that I kicked myself for not ordering was a peach muffin – I love peaches as a fruit, but I had already checked out when I noticed the muffin case to the far left of the register. Next time! And yes, there will be a next time. For $ 6.50, I got a large caffe mocha and the aforementioned lemon bar. That’s a solid deal, in my eyes, especially given the flavor and quality. Give Stone House a run for your next dessert! Thanks for the great service; I’ll come back for that peach muffin!

We purchased 3 gourmet cupcakes late afternoon. They were small, dry and tasteless. All were put in the trash. $ 6 wasted. Maybe earlier in the day would have been better.
