Me: Omg… I came as hot as could be… Like it just came out of the oven… Yes he was right on… It was hot, simple and delicious!!!

Fast delivery times, amazing pizza… however…
I ordered a Chicken Parm hero w/​vodka sauce. I ordered the 12 inch, and as it was $ 15 in total, I was expecting a hefty sandwich. What I did get, however, was a loaf of bread with 1 single small chicken cutlet. $ 15!!! I was very disappointed. Talk about feeling taken advantage of… especially as a regular customer.

I got pasta here. It was mediocre and pretty tasteless. I guess I should’ve gotten pizza? Service wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. I did not get my money’s worth ordering the pasta from here.

I’ve been here a number of times over the years. It’s a really small pizza restaurant, but don’t let that fool you. The pizza is pretty darn good. You can tell how good a restaurant’s food is by ordering the simplest item on their menu. Here, that’s 2 plain slices.
The slices are served HOT and crispy.
The staff is usually young guys and they are polite and speedy. No waiting around to order.
They have other items on the menu, like sandwiches, but I’ve never tried. If you’re looking for a good slice in NJ, this is one of the places you should visit.

This place is great! I work two blocks away and can never go wrong when I get something from here. It’s wonderful for take out and to dine in. Love it!

We have tried Sonny’s several times hoping it was just an off day for them. But sadly not the case. We have ordered pizza, pasta and subs. All edible but nothing to write home about. The only thing I actually like about Sonnys is the people who work there and their garlic knots. That’s it. I hope they can improve their food. The pasta barely had any sauce on it. So it was like eating pasta plain. Yuck. The subs were eh, not top of the line meats and cheese. Pizza was very greasy.

This is the place I think about when I think about pizza by the slice. Through middle school, high school, trips home from college, and post-​graduation, Sonny’s has been my default go to for pizza. The key has been their consistency. The crust has a good crunch to it. The cheese is just stringy enough to pull a little with each bite. There’s just enough oil shimmering on top to give it a little juice. This is the standard of what a local pizza place should be.

The pizza is actually pretty good but the employees working there seem pretty incompetent or clueless. I’m not one to complain about service too much but when you experience it more then a few times you know it’s an issue, and they don’t care enough to fix it or just lazy. It’s a shame because I do enjoy the pizza here, but every time I consider going here… I take a deep breath and my memory kicks in of all the times they have messed up my order. My advice to them is run a tight ship because the service is screwing the desire to go here.

Not my favorite pizza in town. Delivery took an hour and the vegetable pizza was AWFUL. The pie was so greasy it seeped through the box and saturated it in oil. I wouldn’t go back. I was excited to try this place too :/​. The guy who took my order over the phone was super nice and friendly though. I guess that counts for something.

The pizzas here are delicious but the wings were tiny and salty; the French fries were also soggy.

I find Sonny’s Pizzeria to be the best pizza joint in the area. You won’t find a better pizza around. You can tell they use fresh, Grade A ingredients. I’ve been coming in for years, never had a complaint. Food was always hot and fresh. Customer service is always great, QUICK and friendly. You definitely get what you pay for, prices are fairly cheap. The store itself is maintained pretty well and always clean when I walk in. Delivery service always comes on time within 30 – 40 minutes MAX.

I’ve been going to Sonnys since I was a kid. Great pizza. I would have given 4 stars,
but they have a fugazi sign that states no outside bevys. I wanted to have a beer with my slices. So I took em outside & had my beer @ my car.

The food was not bad, it took too long.

First time ordering… wanted to try a Sicilian from somewhere else. It was by far the worst Sicilian pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Actually, I can’t think of ever having a pizza this bad, period. The bread was extremely too light and airy for any pizza, and because this was a Sicilian, it REALLY was awful and inappropriate. One big fluff ball. The sauce tasted a little odd and I order two toppings that were so thin that one of the pieces was literally entirely bare but the very corner where there was a spec of sausage. I’m astounded. Pathetic.
It’s almost impossible to make a pizza unedible, so I of coarse still ate it — and it took me 5, yes, thats FIVE slices of a SICILIAN PIZZA to get full. Normally it takes two, and any more is pushing to putting me to bed early range. That’s how bad and airy this dough was, and how thin the ingredients on top were. The cheese was actually light too, but that doesn’t bother me. I make pizzas frequently and never put as much as Pizza places do, but it’s another consideration if you like cheese. I normally save left over pizza, but this will be tossed out. Avoid this place at all costs. As other reviewers I’m now seeing say, go to Vittorio’s.

This pizza was ok at best. It does have an old school feel to it but @$ 2.25 a regular slice it’s at today’s prices. The place itself was small but if u are 4 or less ppl the booths should be sufficient. Counter person was nice which is always a plus. Didn’t get the sense that the quality of the products in the pizza itself were the best.

Pizza so nice I had to order a second slice. The second slice is a rarity for me. But I had to be sure that it wasn’t a fluke.
It wasn’t.
4 stars may be a bit conservative considering how much I enjoyed each slice but I’ll need to do more research before it can gain induction into the pizza pantheon. The crunch, temp, sauce, and cheese were near perfect. I’m talking Flippin’ Pizza (SD) good, even Cugino’s (Edgewater) good.
High praise.
But not all is warm mozzarella and fresh basil. If you want a slice other than a cheese, then know that they put the toppings on their plain slice after the fact. I’m not a fan of that particular practice but some do prefer that over reheating a pre-​made slice.
